  1. Salve mi piacerebbe sapere se è possibile con emby essere visti sulle smart v. Ho provato ma oltre a vedersi il server quando voglio vedere le tv in diretta vedo solo uno schermo nero. Grazie
  2. Hey there everyone I'm having trouble playing HEVC content on my daughter's Galaxy Tab A 8.0" (SM-T350). It direct plays the content, however the display is unwatchable, jumpy and mostly just artefact blocking, which the audio plays fine. I'm assuming the device cannot play the content (1080p HEVC, 7.1 DTS-MA), but I cannot find a way to force it to transcode either of the streams. Is there a setting somewhere I can use to force transcoding? I tried setting up a profile under the transcoding settings, however regardless of what I set it always direct played. Not sure if that's just the wrong place to configure transcoding, or if I'm just doing it wrong. Thanks

    App for Samsung app

I do have a doubt. I appear to have a 2012 Slim LED Samsung. I tried several times to install the app following the 2012 E-Series Install procedure (UE40ES7000SXXC). But I always get kicked out with a network error. Should that procedure work and there is really a only a problem with the network or is my TV not compatible? Thanks, Wolfgang

    Samsung TV APP

Hello, My TV model is: UE32H6400 and I have been running the community app version 2.2.2 for couple months now with no issue at all. First of all I was excited to read that now the app is available in the official samsung store for users in UK and I am now running version 0.109 at the same time. Its very handy that I didn't had to delete the community app and have them both installed, as some problems I have with version 0.109 are non existent on 2.2.2 Those in detail: 1) I have noticed when I am running version 0.109, from time to time when I am browsing through my library, the server app on my dedicated windows pc crashes and I have to manually re-start it (only the app, not the PC). Maybe that's a server issue as I have also noticed that it happens after upgrading to 3.2.36.0. 2) Version 2.2.2 starts 3D movies just fine as long as you have configured each movie properly through the metadata manager menu -in my case it's the HSBS option- so you don't have to manually choose this with your remote control. I can't seem to be able to run any 3D movie with version 0.109 3) In version 0.109, when a movie is playing I don't seem to be able to view the progress bar when I pause the movie. I also can't choose a specific chapter or use the playback bar to move further ahead onto another segment of the movie. Fast forward buttons on the remote seem to be ok. 4) I would love to have an option in version 0.109 to increase the subtitles size if possible. All my movies are MP4 with AAC 5.1 audio, 2000 to 2500 bitrate H264 encoding so direct play works flawless on both TV apps and on my iPhone app as well. Another really nice thing I have noticed is that the video playback looks crispier and sharper through the 0.109 app comparing it to the 2.2.2 version. Now that I am thinking of it, the only thing differently I did when I have installed the new 0.109 app, is that I've used the PIN option to connect to my EMBY server. I can also try disconnect and connect manually with my local IP just to see if that makes any difference for the above issues although I don't think it would be related. All those are minor problems of course. I am happy having both apps installed, I just thought to share my testing results with you guys for future improvements. Thanks again for all your hard work, EMBY as always is awesome!!
  5. Hi guys, I hope someone can help. I’ve successfully downloaded and installed the Emby App on my Samsung tv model UE32F4510AKXXU, using the ‘develop’ log in. So far so good. But when I try to launch it for the first time, to enter the server and port details, the tv screen flickers and then the tv exits the smart hub and returns to freesat programmes. I’ve tried the classic turn tv on/off and deleting then reloading the app with no joy. Also tried changing fron develop login to my own account, didn’t work either. Any suggestions?
  6. Hi playing some of my files always fails with message" CONNECTION ERROR":/ [..]dex=1&VideoCodec=h264&Profile=high&Level=41&MaxVideoBitDepth=8&MaxWidth=1280&VideoBitrate=7689730&AudioCodec=dts&AudioBitrate=360000&MaxAudioChannels=6&MediaSourceId=37be07606503ea8e68d8d8828a8c827c&DeviceId=ZPCAMPY4GXSJS&StartTimeTicks=0 [...] (it contains h264 but its h265, is that a coinciedence?). On other devices transcoding works; so I assume the Samsung is the problem. The more I´m playing around with it, I´m coming to the point that a CONCURRENT transcoding of HEVC & DTS is a problem - pls see the att. files. but H265 / DD is working H264 / DTS works Please see the info and logs. tnx for helping me Samsung model number: UE65F8090 Samsung firmware version: v1135 (latest available at 25.10.2017) Samsung Emby client version #: v2.2.2 ffmpeg-transcode.txt server.txt
  7. Is it possible to passthrough DTS/TrueHD/any audio to soundbar using Emby Tizen App? My TV is Samsung KS7000 (KS8000 in US), server version 3.2.33.0, Tizen app version 1.0.25
  8. Hi, Some time ago i read that the ORSAY third party app dev's did not see a problem in not developing HTTPS support. My Samsung is run remotely through the Internet, and I would really like that developers think of security. Anyway... How would the Third Party App behave if i enable the new setting on the server to redirect to HTTPS.. Will the App ignore this and still use HTTP because it does not support HTTPS? Thanks /Blob
  9. So, i've set up Emby, and it seems to work fine over the internet. I can play to my tv, and i can access it as a server. Now, i just can't seem to figure out a way to acess it without the intternet? Is this possible? I have an old modem/router connected to my desktop. NO internet. I'd like my tv to be able to log into the WLAN and to be able to access and stream my files from there. Quick question: Does anybody else find that they can't navigate their media via their tv remotes? forward/back/pause?
  10. Hey Devs, Just wondering what is required to get the Emby App on the Australian Samsung App Store? Unfortunately utilising the guide for installing the app outside the US won't work for me as there are Aussie apps I use and need to keep. I'm happy to assist if I can if its a manpower issue?

    Emby app for UN50KU6300F

I have been using Emby to watch my ripped movies on a large computer monitor for a number of years as my 10 year old Sony was such a hassle. I recently got a Samsung smart TV, a UN50KU6300F, which I think uses the Tizen operating system. I see there is an Emby app in the app store. Could it be so easy as just installing the Emby app and pointing it to my server and I am up-and-running? I see install guides in the forum but they seem to be for older/different series Samsungs, the latest being 2014. Also most of my rips are in Video_TS folders. Am I in trouble there? Thanks Kubla Khan

Server no longer found on Samsung

Somewhere within the last 2-3 updates, I lost the ability to find the Emby server on any of my Samsung TV's. Currently running Version 3.0.8400.0. Emby works fine however on all other computers and portable devices. Seems to be a DLNA issue. Any suggestions? Thx,
  14. I have been using Emby for awhile now, but the one thing I've been unable to do is watch ripped 3D Blu Rays on my HTPC. I was wondering what solutions people have come up with for this problem? So far the only success I have had (other than putting in the disc and playing it with PowerDVD 15) is to rip it with MakeMKV as an mvc file, and use Stereoscopic Player. The trouble is, I only have the demo of Stereoscopic Player since its not a free application and I'm, um, on a budget. Is there any free software that can be used to play 3D Blu Rays? If not, I will bite the bullet and buy it, but can Emby use Stereoscopic Player as an external player? The second, less important, question I have is...is there any way to get my TV to play ripped 3D Blu Rays in 3D automatically? If I stick the disc in or watch something natively in 3D on TV (DirectTV used to have 3D channels, though they are long gone now) my Samsung un60es7150 would automatically swtich to 3D mode. However, with Stereoscopic Player I have to pick 'side by side' as my viewing format, start playing, then go to the TV's menu and manually turn on 3D side by side mode. Boo hoo, my diamond necklace chafes, but it is pretty annoying. Is there a better way? Thanks for your help and sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't really sure where to post it.

    Emby App

Is there app that will work on newer Samsung? Or will one of the existing app's work? model# un32j4500af
  16. Hi All, After being a long time user of emby/MB I am after a bit of advise please. I want to buy one of the standalone NAS devices for my parents to stream to their Samsung tv, which is the best of the brands please? Asusto, QNAP or Synlogy? Also do they have enough grunt to steam to a Samsung device, as I am unsure how much transcoding is required for that app. The only other things the server will be doing is DLNA music streaming and photo sharing. I personally run an i5 server to a Kodi HTPC so never have any problems with these things. Thank you.

Transcoding over DLNA not working [samsung]

I'm facing the infamous "this filetype is not supported" message when trying to play certain files over DLNA. Those certain files appear as transcoding containers in .ts format. As per other similar threads, I tried upping the VideoLevel value in the dlna profile to 51, and also upping max streaming bitrate, but nothing seems to be working. Particular tv should be able to play all the files present natively. Tv model is 2015 samsung JU7500. Attaching logs right after starting the server and trying to play a problematic video. Note that the transcoding seems to be working just fine on server side. server log (mind the exceptions related to the fact server is not connected to the internet) transcoding log profile screenshot of a sample problematic media data Application version: 3.0.5972.0 Also, for what it's worth, the emby is being run from a docker container on an unRAID server.

  20. * Yesterday I posted the same issue in the DLNA subforums. If x-posting is not ok, please remove the other post as I believe it is better suited here. Since a few days ago my Samsung Smart TVs (2 in total) are no longer able to find any media on Emby. They do find the Emby server fine but claim that there are no videos/photos/etc. stored on it. I also have a Sony Smart TV which is working fine. I have checked the log files and found the info below. I believe this might be relevant because the TV is called '[TV]Vesta' so it seems to fail at updating something. What can I do to make my Samsung TVs find the media on Emby again? Just for the record, both TVs have worked with Emby for months. They stopped working a few days ago. 22. Any chance of adding SBS viewing to the android emby app? I would love to be able to watch my emby content (live TV) via samsung gear VR or google cardboard. For anyone that is interested I was able to achieve this but only with the assistance of a stand alone PC and third party application, this setup only works on a local network. Similar to what this guy did https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk4-bjn3B4k
  23. I never really used to try DLNA, but remember it worked weeks ago. Now I tried to connect to EMBY over DLNA, but Samsung TV reports no video, music or image content. When I try the same over BubbleUPNP, it works. Hope someone can help me out. server-63587359454.txt
  24. Install from - 82.27.106.58 IMPORTANT - This beta version is in 1080p resolution. You should only attempt to install it on your 2012 E-Series, 2013 F-Series or 2014 H-Series devices. Each of these have been confirmed working by at least one forum member, but you should still exercise caution. I know I had previously talked about making a 720p version but here's the thing, I started it and it looked exactly the same. I (literally) couldn't see the point. So here's a 1080p version instead. If it doesn't support your device, please try not to hate me too much, you're really not missing much from 720p. Please let me know what devices you guys try this on and how it goes. I have a 2013 F-Series TV and it looks really good on that. 2011 D-Series devices and earlier are now NOT SUPPORTED. Known issue - The music player icons still need replacing. I'll be away over the new year but I'll check in on mobile.

    Playing MVC content

First of all, Merry Christmas to all! I'm struggling with mkv or m2ts containing AVC/MVC content since a few months. I tried most of the tutorials around the web (makemkv, tsmuxer etc.), but til now, I cannot get this to work with Emby (or Plex). MKV does not work here at all since just Stereoscopic Player plays it). But Playing a MVC m2ts created with tsMuxer over USB connected HDD works. When starting the video (marked FSBS in Metadata) in the Emby app, the half of the 1st 1080p stream is on the one side, and the half of the 2nd 1080p stream on the other. But the video itself plays. When stream starts it looks kinda this (cannot see it absolutely, perhaps thew Streams overlap in the middle): Now to the weird behaviour: When I go into Tools Menu during Playback to change Position (the time doesn't matter), the Movie loads again to the requested time and the screen looks like this, which is an absolute correct working 3D MVC stream recognized by TV:
