LAV Filter not configured if KLite Codec Pack installed
Starlionblue posted a topic in Windows & Xbox
Installed Media Browser Theater version 3.0.5182.20892. I noticed I couldn't use the "configure audio" button under "Video Player" options. It was looking in the standard LAV filter installation location (C:\Program Files (x86)\LAV Filters). However I had earlier installed KLite codec pack, which puts them in a subdirectory of itself (C:\Program Files (x86)\Klite Codec Pack\LAV Filters) Uninstalling Klite and re-installing LAV Filters solved the problem. I opened up MBT and was shown the initial use wizard thingy, something that hadn't come up before!!! -
Hi I have a problem with Media Browser Theater version 3.0.5168.25066 (although I have seen the problem on and off for a while). When playing videos in full screen it plays with a flickering effect that isn't present when not in full screen mode. Server log (if this is worth anything): https://www.dropbox.com/s/5c8g7ed0ywpdedu/server-63528945486.log Thanks for your time and help

I see well we will see how good MBT becomes in time. If it can do everything MBC can do and do it faster, MBC might not be needed. I admit that WMC LiveTV is still among the best LiveTv software. So the main question will be how good MBT LiveTV will be compared to it because for everything related directly to MBC, MBT should do it better and faster as a standalone frontend. The only thing i can see MBT lacking will be skins but im sure that will come in its own time. As for the rest, so far Movie section is better in MBT (even with missing features) and TV is still better in MBC since you cant use filters in MBT yet. One thing that would be good to see in MBT will be more views for more customization.

Media Browser Classic and MBT freeze when playing Video_TS rips from a 3TB hard drive. Every movie I play freezes around 21 minutes into the movie. I have tried the following to identify the issue. 1. 3TB External Toshiba hard drive 2. 3TB External Western Digital hard drive 3. 3TB Seagate hard drive All of the above drives experienced the same issue with multiple movies I also tried the same movie on each drive with the same issue. If I play the movies with VLC or XBMC I don't experience this issue. Any thoughts? Thanks in Advance

Hi, I haven't been able to find another topic on this, so I figured I should start one. Recently, when I'm adding new movies to my collection, some of them end up without images when I'm on the "Latest Movies" screen, but when I go to the detail screen for that movie, the image shows up just fine. Blank Images: Detail view for selected title (looks fine):
-
Using build 42140. Backdrops screensaver no longer displays. All I get is mediabrowser scrolling across the screen.
-
Noticed an odd thing recently. When I had "download compressed images" checked, there were six posters that just had the black rectangle with the title showing, and they never showed the poster. When I unchecked compressed images they showed no problem. There is no difference between the six images that didn't show and those that were.

MBT version 3.0.5086.905 Loving MBT, it does everything I want (besides making coffee). There is however one little issue that I find pretty annoying. I have MBIntros installed and it plays the intros perfectly, but when MBT switches to the main movie, the title of the movie is not updated (still showing the title of the intro). This I can live with, however the running time bar is also not updating. It shows the running time of the intro (which is relatively short) and therefore skipping forward in the the time bar is as good as impossible. I hope this can be fixed soon. One small observation completely unrelated: It seems external subtitles are now working (actually from a number of versions back) yet it is still on the to do list. Is this still in development?

For some reason MBT has started crashing on me today, it seemed to be working just fine last night, but starting today; it's become "broken" When I attempt to enter the details screen of a title (Movie/TV/etc.) I Get an "Error processing request", followed by "Unhandled Exception", followed by "Mediabrowser.UI has stopped working" MBT Log: 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1782, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Plugins.ProgramLauncher, Version=1.0.5125.23065, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1782, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Model, Version=3.0.5118.2145, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Common, Version=3.0.5118.2145, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Common.Implementations, Version=3.0.5118.2146, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.UI, Version=3.0.5119.23168, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Theater.DirectShow, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Theater.Presentation, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Theater.Core, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.IsoMounter, Version=1.0.5079.1480, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.1882, Info, App, Loading MediaBrowser.Plugins.DefaultTheme, Version=3.0.5119.23167, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null 2014-01-17 11:41:23.2342, Info, App, Version 3.0.5119.23168 initializing 2014-01-17 11:41:23.2342, Debug, ApiClient, Applying Authorization http header: Client="Media Browser Theater", DeviceId="PATRICK-HP", Device="PATRICK-HP", Version="3.0.5119.23168" 2014-01-17 11:41:23.4692, Info, App, HttpClientManager POST: http://mb3admin.com/admin/service/registration/validate 2014-01-17 11:41:23.5312, Info, App, Core startup complete 2014-01-17 11:41:23.5312, Info, App, Adding resource ResourceDictionary 2014-01-17 11:41:23.5312, Info, App, Loading theme: Default 2014-01-17 11:41:23.5312, Info, App, Adding resource ResourceDictionary 2014-01-17 11:41:23.6762, Error, App, Error attempting to discover default audio device Element not found. How is Movies/New Releases sorted? Is it not by its release date? Or? The reason i ask is that the result isn't the same as in the Web Client .

Just looking for some suggestions on some "Collection" images I could use. I'm tired of looking at the blank squares in place of collection images in MBT. Something that would compliment MBT would be ideal for me, but really anything would do, instead of those blank boxes! What images are you guys/gals using? Thanks! Patrick

There is a way for enabling "list view" for tv shows that have only one season? I noticed that when entering a tv show with only one season, and then going to Episodes the episode show by default in Poster Strip view. I personally prefer the "list view" for episodes browsing. This is not a problem with multiple season shows, since i can enter to a season and then set the view to list mode, it would be great if we can set this only for single season shows and thus keep multi season shows with poster strip view. Alternatively a option to show all tv shows (even single season ones) episodes inside their own season folder

Hi All, I'm starting to use MBT a bit more on a laptop and am curious if I have missed a setting for "always on top" when not in full screen display? If this hasn't been added yet then something I use in general is a little program called DeskPins which might interest others and can be downloaded from SoftPedia at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/DeskPins.shtml Thanks, Tanamur

Hello, I found a problem when using a remote control (or the keyboard) to navigate to the topmost items in MBT: in order to be able to select the sort button for example the element with the current focus needs to be right of the middle: So in the above screenshot the 3 items above the different movie views can only be selected when the focus is on the right side of the red line. In this part of MBT I can get to the top because there is an item right from the center, in the main screen however I don't have enough items to get to the right from the center so I can not get to the top items (No way to select the Now Playing button for example):

Okay given that everyone is transitioning to MBT and WIndows 8.1 pretty much killed MBC, transcoding and extenders. If someone is willing, can anyone explain the transition from MBC to MBT for my setup, so I can play those other codec formats? (ie. MKV, etc.)

Why is it that 12-hour format is used here MBT and 24-hour format here. MBT Player Also, there is no option to choose 24 hour format on the server, why that?

I was curious as to what the Download Compressed Images settings actually entails? Is this compressing the images from the MB Server Cache for a lower performance machine to make things a little more "snappy"? On a slightly related note, I would suggest that a note or balloon or something pop up when highlighting things like this in the settings (similar to MBC settings) that details what it is the selected item entails. Thanks.

Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported.
pmac posted a topic in Windows & Xbox
Lately I've been having a problem with MBTheater Crashing when I play Movies. It doesn't seem to happen with all movies, but with the vast majority of them, it does. So far, I haven't had any problems with TV shows for whatever reason, and everything seems to play perfectly fine in MBClassic, but with MBT I can hardly seem to get any movies to work, as soon as my intro video finished playing, I get an error saying: "Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported" I just finished uninstalling all of my codecs, etc. (I was using Shark007), I did a fresh installation of LAV filters, as per the tutorial linked from this site, and MBC still seems to work fine, but still having the same problem with MBT not playing movies for me. I've saved my logs from the crash. I believe I started getting this error after that last 1 or 2 updates. Logs: Server Theater Crash EDIT: Also getting THIS error when playing some titles, which causes MBT to crash, and a THIS one when trying to mark certain TV episodes as watched. The latter error doesn't cause a crash, but it forces me to use the web client to mark some episodes as played. -
What settings do I need for using external subs? I have a few movies with internal (english) subs and I have downloaded dutch .srt subs, but I cannot get them to play (I cannot even select them manually via systray) I'm using the default installation for MTB with xy-VSfilter and LAV-splitter that comes with MBT. I manually installed xy-VS and LAV for MBC (before I installed MBT) and there it automatically selects the external dutch srt.

Just an idea here, maybe someone else would find it useful. Is there any possibility of mapping a remote key (ex. "Menu" button on remote) to bring out the slideout menu for settings, logout, etc? The idea just came to me when I saw luke's image of the new MBT slideout menu. Obviously not something that's really important, I just felt it would be a neat feature. I like to maximize tge potential of my remote. Right now I've got my "Info" button mapped to the (*) key, which works nice, but there's still a lot of buttons that are going unused. (Menu, Guide, Exit, all of the "color" buttons)

I believe there is currently no option to disable Missing/unaired items and I have noticed them appearing. Just reporting this in case it has not been made aware already. If there is an option somewhere to disable this within MBT please let me know. Thanks. Example : Falling skies only have up to Season 3 MBT Showing up to Season 4 Example : How I Met Your Mother only have up to Season 6 MBT Showing up to Season 9

First off, I'd just like to say thank you for all of the incredible work you guys have done. I have been using media browser since version 2.0, and MB3 is just fantastic. I will be contributing shortly. The iOS app is great, and I've thoroughly enjoyed using it on my iPhone 4s. The remote control functionality is useful for scrubbing through movies and TV shows quickly. I have noticed that browsing a large media library on my phone is much faster than using a remote and MBC/MBT. I think it would be great if I could browse to a video on my phone and then tell it to play in MBC instead of my phone, much like the way airplay works. I would assume both devices would need to have the same user logged in. So the "workflow" would be like this: Start MBC/MBT Open app on my phone Browse to a movie Hit "Play on device" and select my MBC/MBT session The video would automatically start playing in MBC/MBT Thanks again for all your hard work, Charlie

Hi When i move from full screen to windowed mode in mbt i sometimes get an error popping up, most of the time it only happens when playing video. Couldnt find it reported already in search. mbt version is 3.0.5086.905 the error text http://paste2.org/IL14Ieh9 and log http://paste2.org/ECyLOZF6 While im asking is there a way to set the sort order in a view yet or is that on the to do list ? Thanks

Hi, after the last server update I can not see my metadata anymore, only "chapters" to each movie. The movie counter showed around 370 now it showing 766 :S I've added a picture to describe my problem better. (attached file) *** This happens in MBT and Web ***** Also, if I go to "collection" and choose ex "blu-ray" then all the movies are shown properly. What is wrong? **EDIT** Okey, it's looks like it something to do with the way the server handles naming. MBT should ignore the "#". MBC is working fine, and so is the WEB-version if I choose a letter from A-Z and not the first "#". (as shown in the picture) MBT is showing all the movies correctly, but i need to scroll trough all the "chapters first" before it finds the movies from A-Z. I think this is the problem, and it is now more related to MBT.
