Missing Images, Fanart is only data provider, TVDB isn't an option
marktaff posted a topic in General/Windows
I've recently started having missing images for TV series in my TV library, often thumbs. It seems like Fanart.tv is the only data provider now. I'm pretty sure it used to grab images from both fanart & tvdb. From the TV library, Shows tab, right-click on show, select 'Edit Images', right-click on 'Thumb', 'Search for Image', click on 'Source', the options are 'All' or 'Fanart'. TVDB isn't an option. For at least one of the shows, Fanart doesn't have a thumb, so this isn't Emby failing to find a resource that exists. TVDB doesn't have 'thumbs', but its 'background' images would make decent thumbs if scaled/cropped. Possibly related, in the server settings, under the library for tv shows, the various data sources are uncheckable; when you try, a message pops up saying that "no options available for the selected items". Also, the tvdb option has a weird link that appears to be a tracking/link forwarder as seen in the attached image. Running Ember Server 4.8.5.0 on Kubuntu, Emby Theater 3.0.19 If anyone knows what is going on, why, or how to fix it, I would very much appreciate your insight. Thanks!- 27 replies

Hi I had a catastrophic failure of the NAS that hosts my Emby. I did a complete fresh initialisation and reinstalled sapps, one of which was Emby Server. I then copied all the library folders (music, music videos, movies and TV Shows) from a backup NAS back to the newly initialised NAS and created the libraries again. Libraries are set to the correct types, and all metadata fetchers are enabled for each library. Mostly things are back as they chould be - Movies and Music Videos seem to be correct. However, Movies folder, while it has an image for the library, has almost no images for any of the folders within it. Music Library has all the artists in a row, not displayted as a grid as they used to be, and none of them have any album art as they used to. TV Shows has an image for the library, but no images for TV show folders. If I go into a TV Show folder, it has no images for the seasons folders. Within a Season folder, there is no image at the top, but all the episodes do have images. What may I need to do (obviously these are freshly created and scanned multiple times in an attempt to get the images fetched). It is the same whether I use a Windows or an Android client.

Hi, I haven't been able to find another topic on this, so I figured I should start one. Recently, when I'm adding new movies to my collection, some of them end up without images when I'm on the "Latest Movies" screen, but when I go to the detail screen for that movie, the image shows up just fine. Blank Images: Detail view for selected title (looks fine):
