I've noticed over the last couple weeks that the trailers channel has not been getting the most recent trailers. The last couple trailers it got where available from the itunes trailers site on the 15th. Nothing since then has made it to me. I reinstalled the channel in the case that something had no gotten updated (or whatever) and still no dice. Running server Version 3.0.5309.26857.

Hi All, I started a topic in the Media Browser Classic forum as I have been having issues with the Trailers not playing, or if they do, really odd behaviour (such as how they were buffering, would play fine once, play them again straight away and there would be stuttering. I think I fixed the stuttering by increasing the Remote MBPS to 30 in the MBC3 config. However, there seems to be a bigger issue and it was suggested I create a topic here, so I am. The issue is that after 4-5 trailers (viewing in a row) and subsequent trailers when viewed (when the PLAY is clicked/selected) produces a black play screen and nothing happens, even leaving it for 1-2 minutes, there is nothing. I opened the log and watched what was happening. When playing a trailer, the log fills up with information, showing it is going to the external website to stream the trailer, etc. When I play a trailer and get a BLACK screen, the log is empty. There are no commands sent to the external website requesting the trailer, there is no information a trailer was select, or any commands issued by MBC3. etc. However, if I close MBC3, then reopen it, and try the trailer again, it works fine, until I play a few more, then it does the same BLACK screen. I have the latest plugin version (don't have that in front of me atm). The MBS and MBC are on the same PC. I don't view anything through the Web Interface from any other device, so I don't know if the trailers work fine that way. I am only interested in them working with the MBC3 plugin in Media Centre (Win7). Any ideas?

The function to download trailers locally for movies in my collection almost always downloads the wrong trailer unless the movie is very new. The strange thing is that it keeps downloading the same wrong trailer over and over and over--The Double starring Richard Gere. Why is it downloading bad trailers and why is it always the same trailer?

So one of the recent updates started putting the trailers treatment on the channel version of trailers which is great, only problem is that it didn't seem to remove the previous treatment (which I can't figure out where it's coming from, there doesn't appear to be a setting to match it).

I've been trying to get some channels working on my HTPC and they haven't really been working. I knew my HTPC was low powered so I decided to install MB in my home computer to rule out performance possibility and I am getting the same behavior. Home computer has 6GB of ram and Quad core CPU. Here's are my findings. When I play a trailer from Trailers or a video from Revision, the log shows that the transcode is starting. I go to the transcode-tmp folder and there is a video being transcoded there and also I see the transcode log being created. When I play a video from Vevo and ITV UK nothing happens. In the past they used to transcode but the playback was choppy and slow. Now they don't even start. Please help understand what's going on. I have the logs if needed.

Hi ebr, I was wondering if treatment for trailers in the new Trailers channel has changed somehow? Previously, with the old plugin, I had a Diamond treatment applied. However, with trailers in the new channel, there seems to be a default treatment applied (generic with black bar across the top). Could you please let me know how to apply the Diamond treatment again, or if it will be addressed in a future release? Thanks!

Hi All - Is there a way to get the synopsis call out for trailers displayed in thumb view (as opposed to individual detail view)? I have looked at the settings but don't see it there. Edit: Forgot to mention this is in the Media Browser Beta channel installation. Thanks, Tanamur

I have road tested Media Browser with a sample of my media collection and I must say I am very happy with it. I am now looking to take the plunge and trust it with my entire media collection.... There are a couple of small thing stopping me however, Currently I use Ember Media Manager (EMM) to grab images, metadata, Actor info and trailers for my films. This has been working perfectly with XBMC, however the file naming is different to that of Media Browser. A tipical Film folder after EMM Films >Red (2010) >.actors - Red (2010).avi - Red (2010).nfo - Red (2010).srt - Red (2010).tbn - Red (2010)-fanart.jpg - Red (2010)-poster.jpg - Red (2010)-trailer.mp4 A tipical Film folder after Media Browser Films >Red (2010) >extrafanart >extrathumbs -banner.jpg -clearart.png -disc.png -fanart.jpg -landscape.jpg -logo.png -movie.xml -poster.jpg -Red (2010).avi - Red (2010).eng.srt - Red (2010).nfo 1. Due to slow internet I store my trailers locally. I can’t find a way to make Media Browser download these trailers. 2. Again I can’t seem to find how to download Actor images. 3. If i run Media Browser with a film I’ve already scraped with EMM then I end up with duplicate files (poster.jpg and Red-poster.jpg). Is there anyway to rename either of these with Media Browser so I don’t have this situation? I have a lot of films so manually renaming or even deleting those files would be a pain! Q3 would delay my adoption of Media Browser as I migrate my media structure over If Q1 & Q2 are work in progress then I could happily use Media Browser and EMM until then

Movie Theme Songs: Works fine, but not perfect. Because when I enter into my media collection, the song is playing well, and the backdrops image is not rotating as usually, just stuck in the first picture. The above doesn't happen when there is no song theme in the media folder to play. - Probably a problem in MB3. Still the same problem in Chocolate and Classic themes.. Sometimes when the song begins, he play for a second or two, then returns to the beginning again and work well. - It seems that the problem in ROC them, Happens only There.. Menus: Sometimes, When I scrolling through my collections. I click right or left button to the next film and the selection jumps forward number of movies. - It seems that the problem in ROC them, Happens only There.. The second thing - Is there a way to lock the menu bar at the top end as it was possible in previous themes, so there will not be able to choose the top menus? I'm using a theme ROC, and there are lots pop-ups with messages, it is very bothers and I want to disable this option. Can it? I was just wondering how the trailers and other channels are going to be handled in MBC and MBT. I know the new server just came out, so I figured it'll take some time. I figured the trailers menu in MBC would disappear, since they are now a channel. Looking forward to all the options that have been presented, and all the possibilities for the future.

Hi All Have had a hunt on here for anyone else having this issue, with no luck so here goes. I have an upcoming trailers collection of locally downloaded trailers,(not collected by the any MB plugins, only using Metabrowser to collect). My issue is that this collection is no longer even visible in MBC and while the collection is visible through the MBS web client, MB theater or the android client, the individual items are not visible/playable, which makes me suspect the server is not recognising the media files, perhaps due to them only being up to 150Mb.... only a guess tho. I used to be able to see the collection and play via MBC, although I must confess I'm not sure when this changed. Hopefully some pics will help ... Server Library Config Web Client Collection view Clicking on a trailer show this.. with no playable file The MB Theater Views of the same MBC EHS Screen Web Client home screen for sort order comparison, as you can see the Upcoming trailers collection is not even visible between Movies and TV Shows where its sort order should show. With the recent improvements to audio/subtitles playback in MBT, I'm really keen to start using this as my primary media client on my HTPC's but as we often 'surf' through upcoming trailers, this is proving annoying at present, having to open MBC just to do this. Have tried server restarts and rebuilding the db cache, but neither have made a difference I'm just wondering if I've missed a minimum file size setting, or whether something changed on the server side, that no longer allows this type of collection to work?? Hi everybody, Been long time with MB2 in Windows 7 MCE, now I'm thinking about trying MB3 server and MBClassic, also in WMCE, but there's two features I don't know If MB3 has. Can I set entry points to the MB3 menu to create a custom menu strip in WMCE, as I had with MB2? Is there some way to set MB3 Trailers plugin to get the trailers in my language (spanish), as it could be done in MB2 Film Trailers, selecting my country (Spain) in the plugin configuration? If it can't be done, anyone knows some other trailer plugin for MB3 or WMCE that allows me to do this? Thanks in advance

So my favourite theme at the moment is ROC and I find it incredibly easy to use and navigate. However, the one area where its not so easy appears to be trailer execution. At the moment the user is required to navigate to the trailer tab and then sees (in my case) the trailer.mp4 file. This just doesn't to be as clean as the rest of the theme. Therefore, my request would be to add an icon next to the play, back and next icons which would play the trailer or say the first trailer/bring up a list if there are more than one. This could then allow for the trailer tab to be removed making it that much easier to navigate. Thanks

Is there a way to download only the 720p trailer and not 1080p? Seems when I download local trailers it is downloading the 1080p version which is quite large. It adds up when you have hundreds of movies...

It seems that the trailer for 'The Hobbit and unexpected Journey' is in french I havent checked others as of yet am I likely to find more??

Is there a way to disable the trailers plugin for a user profile? I tried deleting it from the metadata manager but the spinner just spins forever and doesn't remove it.

Hi again, Just splitting this as a separate request from my earlier post: 2) With the trailers for the movies that automatically play in the background when you go into the detail view of a movie. Wondering if it might be possible to show this in a medium sized window in the top right corner to allow view of the backdrops while the trailer plays in the corner. Maybe allowing clicking on the window to go full screen view or access to the full view via the trailer tab? Option to change between both options would be awesome! Thanks so much

First of all I don't know if this is the right topic. Sorry if it is not. I have this setup: PC with MB Server/Classic installed Set up my codecs as described in this guide: http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permalinks/2046/guide-setting-up-codecs-using-ffdshow (I did that for MB2.x at the time. Haven't change anything to it when installing MB3) using the Cristal theme Installed Quicktime With this I can play all video/audio formats :-) However when I want to play a trailer it won't work, saying something like that it can not find its location. There is a video indicator saying the trailers are Quicktime, so I tried playing Quicktime files (*.mov) via Windows Media player, no problems. I watched Apple trailers with Internet Explorer and Chrome, no problems. And now may the strangest part; when I do it via MB Classic and use it as a client on my laptop it does work (!). Like said before, the codec configuration was the same as for MB2.x, for which playing trailers did work. Anyone has got an idea? Thanks in advance!
