2. DB mit Inhaltstyp Musikvideos angelegt. Leider wird in emby keine Titel angezeigt (Bild 2). Unter Verzeichnisse jedoch alle vorhandenen Verzeichnisse. Folgende Struktur habe ich verwendet: Verzeichnis "Interpret" - Verzeichnis "Interpret - Konzerttitel" - Datei "Interpret - Konzerttitel.ext", z.B. Andreas Bourani/Andreas Bourani - Hey/Andreas Bourani - Hey Live. Was mache ich falsch? ;-)

Hi, Is there a way to make a filter the default? When I go to my tv shows I have to change the filter every time to show unplayed, can something be done to have the selection of filters saved as default.

Why is it not possible to filter the same way as in the web app? In the Android app I can filter on playstate, genre, studio, videotype and features. In the web app I can filter on those in addition to tags, years, parental ratings, etc. Shouldn't the Android app have the same options?

How is “video type” determined? (Or, HD and 4K not being identified correctly)
ShoutingMan posted a topic in General/Windows
I noticed that the library Filter function doesn’t seem to work. Almost everything, HD and 4K, is incorrectly tagged as SD. Is this user error on my part, or is this a known Emby limitation? Am I supposed to manually set the video type of my content? Thanks.- 3 replies

Is there any way to enable favourites on the channels/guide in the Android layout? It's somewhat troublesome to scroll through hundreds of channels spread over several pages to find the couple I'm interested in. Tested on an H96+ Android box and a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Duplicate Ability to filter future series recordings by metadata
jfgilliam posted a topic in Feature Requests
I've read other posts about Football, NASCAR, and other sports, where you want a series recording only for certain teams, NASCAR Series, etc. This is not the same as being able to search, but more like a filter in the series settings. I don't feel you would ever get it right, trying to parse the "Title" and present a list of options. My request is to simply allow a filter to be applied to the "Title" of the series. That way, we can control what gets recorded as a user based on what our chosen provider is putting in the title. Having said that, it might be useful to have filters for other data as well. Maybe this could also be used to implement recording some future show that's not in the guide yet, by allowing a filter on the show's name itself. Each of these types of recordings would show under the "series" tab. You could even have a check box to say that the filter is a regular expression, or simply use basic wildcards. -
Is there a possibility of the emby app to filter by network under tv shows. I see this functionality on the web browser but not the app. Thank You, Naimesh

Is there any way to have Emby ignore a photo type on import or on display? I keep RAW files (.nef) in the same folder as my jpgs so I can find them easier. However, emby imports both the .jpg and the .nef but cannot display the .nef file - its just a box with an X in it. I was looking for a way to exclude these files from the import, but can't seem to find a way.

Danke.

Is there anyway to filter the channels shown? My IPTV provider has a lot of non English channels in the XML TV guide and m3u offering. I'd like to filter out which ones are shown to users.

Emby Theater - Filter by Media Stub vs Digital File (as Video Type)
funwithmedia posted a topic in Feature Requests
Now that we have filters in Emby Theater (yay!!), it would be nice if there were two more additional filters under Video Type: Video File(s) Present Media Stub I have much of my videos in Emby as Media Stubs currently. Sometimes I just want to see what videos I can play right now (without having to dig out a disc). So being able to turn on a filter to only show me items with video files would be very useful. Additionally, as I've mentioned in various other threads, I also use Media Stubs for entering my online-only movies (eg, movies in services like Movies Anywhere, Vudu, iTunes, etc.) into Emby. So being able to turn on a filter to only show me items that are Media Stubs would be useful when I'm wanting to view my list of items that are either disc-based (but not yet digitized) or online-only. And once I've digitized all of my disc-based content, my Media Stub content will then just be online-only items. Thanks! PS - If this is something you might like to see implemented, be sure to "Like" this top/first post (as well as any subsequent posts in this thread that highlight particular aspects of what you are interested in) -- "Liking" the top/first post helps the Devs to know how much interest there is in a given Feature Request. -
Photo Server - meta data tag recognition / custom filter options / photo playlist
PackElend posted a topic in DLNA
Hallo, I'm new to emby, may you can help me before I start again the trail and error game in my endless search for proper DLNA photo server. I run emby on my Synology NAS what has a so called photo station for photo management (inlc. some kind of meta data editing). I create some virtual albums out of my massive quantity of photos. I would like to export them as playlist and present them on my telly. Exporting might be a dream but I want to create playlist depending on the meta data in photo files. So my question, does emby read the meta data of photos and provides filter such as album or artist as for music files what could be used to filter the files. May even provide them as folders via DLNA, so I can watch only photos taken from a certain location or certain tags (like virtual album name) . -
Emby Theater - Unwatched Sub-View for Movies with Unwatched Extras
funwithmedia posted a topic in Feature Requests
Sometimes when I want to watch something I'm more in the mood for watching some Movie Extras than I am for watching a Movie. And often I will have Watched a Movie (thus removing it from the Unwatched view), but not yet watched some/all of that Movie's Extras. It would be great if there were a sub-view of Unwatched that just showed Movies with Unwatched Extras (including Movies that have been watched, since this view would be tied to whether there are Unwatched Extras for a Movie, not to the Movie's Watched status). Thanks! Related: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/50381-emby-theater-visual-indication-of-unwatched-movie-extras/ -
The ability to filter titles in the browser version of Emby has been broken for some time, now (Firefox). This is a pretty significant feature; can we get that fixed soon?
-
Hi, Emby is really nice and I decided 2 weeks ago to buy a Premiere license to support the team. However, audio Playlist management could/should be greatly improved. Alternatively, as a newbie, maybe I missed something... Let me describe my situation: I mainly own music compilations, best-of and singles (old LP’s and EP’s recorded to mp3) + some albums. To avoid file duplication, I save only one copy of a song in my mp3 folder and use Playlists to “virtually” define Albums and Compilations (~500 Playlists currently). My mp3 are tagged and covers are embedded in the Tag. Each Playlist is named following typical rules (Artist – Album.m3u) and is associated with its cover (Artist – Album.jpg) Playlists are organized into meaningful folders: - Albums - Pop - Artist1-Album.m3u - Artist1-Album.jpg - Artist2-Album.m3u - Artist2-Album.jpg - …. - Rock - ….. - Compilations - 80’s - …. This worked quite well with TVIX or Logitech Squeezebox (yes I know, I’m a technology dinosaur!). Thus, to manage my music collection within Emby, some workaround and some tricks are required. Firstly, I wrote a small software in Access 2016 VBA (see topic https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43369-m3u-playlists-batch-importing/). Now that my Playlists are imported within Emby, I would like to take the most of these lists. Unfortunately, Emby doesn’t provide a user-friendly GUI for playlists, neither using the web, mobile and theatre apps. For instance, there is no alphabetPicker to avoid browsing hundreds of playlists, no filter …. In my opinion, the playlists interface should have the same functionalities than the movie or music ones (with Artist - Album - Compilation - Genre menu for example). At least, the Playlist GUI should be similar to the directory browser, as exemplified inn the attached screenshots. Would it be possible to implement the movie/music GUI for playlists, instead of the current basic one ? If not, would it be possible to use the directory GUI and add Genre to the Filter menu (genre are auto-tagged by my Playlist importer) ? I hope that Emby developers can improve the Playlist view based on some of my proposals, or that someone could explain me how to change (if relevant) the playlists.html layout (under …\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System\dashboard-ui ?) in order to implement some of these features. Regards. Laurent.

Hi, Hope everybody is having a fab XMAS this year....I have a slight issue. When I go to TV Shows>Episodes and change the filter to show 'Missing Episodes', it shows nothing. I know that I am missing episodes of a few series but it comes up blank. Any clues as to what I should do or if an update is needed. P.S. After updating to V. 3.1.1.0 today, the XMAS snow theme disappeared. Thanks. Server-63618009284.txt

Radio buttons in filter not showing proper color when selected
computerprep posted a topic in Web App
The radio buttons in the filters/sorting menus aren't showing properly. Not completely sure about this, but if you guys use a CSS pre-processor/compiler/whatever it may not be converting this code into the right hex/rgb color code. First screenshot below show the filters menu open, with NAME and ASCENDING selected. Second is of the CSS code applied to div#onRadio -
When navigating to the favorites tab that is present on the home screen, and clicking on "more" to see a full list of favorite movies, shows, or episodes, we are not able to filter, sort, or jump to a letter in that list. Instead of further editing that list, can the "more" buttons link to their respective libraries with favorites filter already enabled? Instead of presenting yet another list, hopefully the "all movies" list is linkable with a favorites filter already turned on. I realize not everyone will have quote so many movies in their favorites list that they want to jump, but I definitely do. Visual aids: The more button on this page Currently links here But should link here With this filter already enabled

I was trying to browse through my movie library but I can't seem to locate a filter for language, or even a sort by language for some reason. Is this feature not available? I've tried in the web browser, kodi and more recently in Emby Theater(the new version). What I want to do is atleast sort my library by language of that movie(English, German etc), is this data not available from the API used to collect library information? Some help locating this option please?

After the new version was installed, when I go to the Unwatched Filter for movies, it shows all my movies even ones marked as watched in Emby Server. I've tried toggling the watched attribute in server to see if it would update on theater, but no luck. I assume the client is just reading from the server, is there a cache that I can clear or something to get the filter working? (Sorry, no screenshot at this time, but if needed I can get one)

Hi Guys, Why is it not possible to sort or filter movies when you are in collections or in genres? I have more than 1000 movies in the thriller genre, and it would be nice to be able to sort & filter them instead of them only being listed from A-Z. Keep up the good work, Mikael

Hi, long time user - first time poster... With the recent update I found myself enjoying the "Chocolate" gui for the first time. Overall I really like it, and I want to say great job to everyone behind its development (and thanks!) Just a little background on how I use MBC. I have an HTPC in the living room as a settop box replacement (as well as a couple Xbox360's as extenders throughout the house). Although I have a mouse/keyboard available at the main HTPC, I don't like to have to use them if I can use the remote instead (WAF is an issue). Now a couple questions. In the new Chocolate gui, is there any way to "click" on a Director and/or Genre (as you're able to with Cast - and how you are able to in the Classic theme) to show all titles in the entire library with those tags? *I know you can sort by Director/Genre by indexing a folder that way - however, this only searches the folder/section you're in, and not the entire library. And further, I find it quite a bit more combersome to change the index of an entire folder when all I want to do is quickly see other films by a certain director (this is also true with the genre sort, to a lesser extent). I do like the feature, and the idea, that you can index an entire library by these different criteria; however I would still really like the option of the "Classic" way where you could just click the Director or Genre links from within the description page of a title. In practice, I find it far more quick and useful to be able to just scroll down to a movie with the director/genre I want - IE LOTR, and click "Peter Jackson" and/or "Fantasy" (for genre) - and with one click on the director have it show me all of the PJ films I have - or all of the media titles with "Fantasy" as a genre. Any chance I'm just overlooking this functionality in Chocolate? If not, any chance it will be making a comeback? If these "clickable" links can't be added to the description area any more, any chance of adding extra pages/sections to the "Cast" item for other sortable tags like: Director/Producer/Studio/Genre/etc? I see the x/5 Star rankings in the upper left of the description page. Is there any way to make this a numerical TMDB, IMDB, and/or Rotten Tomatoes score instead? In the Classic theme there used to be media detail information - ie, video and audio bitrates, containers, formats, etc. Any option somewhere to re-enable this? I know some of it was redundent, but I enjoyed having it - it was sometimes useful in deciding whether or not to play a title on an extender, plus just fun to see. If using vertical scroll, it's difficult to get to the "control panel" in the upper right. Is there any hotkey and/or WMC remote button that will take you to the control panel? Besides these couple of questions I think the new Chocolate interface is fantastic. Keep up the good work.
