Also, I want to make a suggestion to create a feature of break chapter in seek bar like this...

Hi everybody I'm guessing how to create manual Intro markers in the chapters of the mkv ? Is there a way to achieve this ? Before trying to create chapters with names "Intro Start" and "Intro End". The main advantage of this is that if I move files (wich is relatively often at home), as the chapters are embeded in the mkv, the intro markers follows the moving. I saw in the "ChapterAPI plugin" that it's possible to create markers for "CreditsStart". Is it also possible to create this one in the chapters of the mkv ? Many thanks

Movies not able to skip forward = always restarts movie

About two weeks ago Emby Theater for Windows stopped being able to skip around in the movie. Any attempt to use the skip buttons or to drag the movie to a different location causes the movie to start back from the beginning. Another oddity is that if I had dragged the ribbon to the middle of the movie for example, the movie would then re-start with the progress ribbon still in the middle where I dragged it but when the ribbon reached the 'end' of what it determined the movie was the movie stops playback at that time instead of playing through to the end.EmbyLogs.txt Logs attached. -
First I would like to congratulate Emby for the update and now it is possible to separate the chapters, mainly in the music videos. My suggestion is to be able to skip the chapters while playing the video, without having to leave the video to select another chapter. Thank you

Hi, I did not find answer to this question, when I've searched through the forum. I have custom videos without embedded chapters and relay on Emby to generate scene list and thumbnail images for those. Are such scenes created by Emby imported to Kodi as chapters, when using Emby for Kodi add-on? Or do the chapters need to be embedded to Mp4 or Mkv in order to show in Kodi chapters list? Thank you.

Just noticed that both Chapter and skip aheade/back not working anymore. I can use the page up/down buttons and can jump from chapter to chapter but then when I press select, nothing happens. Skip ahead/back, also not working anymore

Chapter image extraction running longer than time limit?

Had to rebuild my server (got tired of Win7 VM on unRaid), and now have a dedicated box. First run of the Chapter image extraction task shows it ran for more than 10 hours. It has a limit of 4 hours. Is there a known bug where the limit isn't respected? I will post logs if it will help, but since a lot of activities have occurred the past 24 hours I know it will be massive. Any advice on what to look for in the log to help troubleshoot myself? I don't mind learning. I have attached images to help. Version 3.0.7200.0

Hi. I'm new to Emby. I am creating a home video server with different user profiles. When I access the videos from a user profile, below the play button, a field called "Scenes" with different chapters (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, ...) and other "Media Info" with two paragraph appear (Video and Audio). My question is: Is it possible to make these two fields (Scenes and Media Info) are not visible for users? Thank you very much. -

Hola a todos. Soy nuevo en Emby. Estoy creando un servidor de vídeos caseros con diferentes perfiles de usuarios. Cuando accedo a los vídeos desde un perfil de usuario, abajo del botón de reproducir, aparecen un campo llamado "Escenas" con diferentes capítulos (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, ...) y otro "Media Info" con dos apartado (Video y Audio). Mi pregunta es: ¿es posible hacer que estos dos campos (Escenas y Media Info) no sean visibles para los usuarios? Muchas gracias. -
I'm finding it very irritating when I want to skip chapters. If I have just resumed, or just ffwd/rwd, I have to wait until the osd fades away to press the right/left arrow. I very much appreciate the ability to now use CTRL+SHIFT+f and CTRL+SHIFT+b for ffwd and rwd, is there any way we can add maybe "f" and "b" as standard chapter skip buttons? Or some other combination of buttons?

FR 1: Would be nice to have a list of resumable items in Kodi ?? I believe all Emby clients have this option, but I can't find any way of viewing just resumable items in Kodi. FR 2: Will chapter support be coming to the addon soon ?? This will enable starting items from a particular point, as most Emby clients do. Perhaps these are both skin related options, but I'm not sure if they are already available in Kodi or not. Perhaps something that should be included in an Emby Skin for Kodi. Thanks.

I have all of my movies and TV shows in ISO format and do not want to to convert them into another format due to the fact it would take forever. All of my movies and TV shows are bit to bit Main movie only, so no menus. Is it possible to have the Chapter Images extracted from these ISO Files? Thanks.

After adding a few movies, I noticed that on freshly added MP4 movies, chapter extraction is not working any more. I checked some MP4's that were previously extracted with a older server version and they worked ok. I then rebuild the whole movie cache and re-run chapter image extraction... Image extractions for all MP4's are not working. When I check them with META Tag, chapters are there and it all seems to be OK. Chapter image extractions from MKV files are working OK.. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my set up or MP4 movies. It clearly was working in the past..

Chapter button for TV episodes only appears for first unplayed episode

Not sure at what release this happened - but, I have chapters for all my TV shows, and when entering a TV season MBC selects the first unplayed episode and shows "Play", "Cast" and "Chapter" buttons - but when browsing to other episodes, none of them will show a chapter button (chapters do exist, as they appear in the Web UI). (MBC build 187 and Chocolate) I'll check some other themes when I'm back home this evening. -
In the Classic Theme, the chapter information is not refreshed when changing movie. Here is how to reproduce the error: When using the Classic Theme, select a movie. When clicking on the chapter tab, the chapter information of this movie is displayed. Now, go to another movie using the < or > arrow on the top-left. The chapter information is not updated: you still see the chapters of the first movie you selected. For information: when using the Chocolate theme, the chapter information is correctly updated. Could you have a look? Thanks.

Hello, I don't know if this is possible, but I would really like if the chapter extraction could follow the chapters that are in a DVD if the source is actualy a DVD (physical, .iso or video_ts) This would be very usefull for music DVD's as it would enable selecting a song instead of the current steps of 5 minutes. Thanks.

MBS doesn't detect chapter position with the latest dev version. It reads every chapter at 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on I know it's a dev version, just wanted to draw attention to it.
