  1. Hello all, I've been a long time emby premier user, and I'm trying to "upgrade" my setup a bit. Here's the basics of what I have: Supermico X9SCL-F Motherboard Xeon E3-1275 V2 Processor Unraid 6.6.6 Emby 4.0.1.0 using the Emby Docker from the Emby Repo in Unraid I can't find any info regarding compatibility of IQSV and the mobo (I've reached out to Supermico via email, who knows how long their reply will take), I know the processor has the ability, in emby, I can't get IQSV to work. On the transcoding page, if I choose Advanced under enable hardware acceleration, no options show up. If I have it on Yes, I see software decoding in the dashboard and all my cores are at 98%+. I'm reaching out to the community here to see if there's any way I can get IQSV to work to ease the burden of transcoding since I'm upgrading my video library to a lot of 4K content, and want to continue to be able to watch it from outside my home on my phone or laptop (I use Kodi in my home, so there's absolutely no need for IQSV for local viewing). I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to anything outside of the GUI, but am comfortable messing with CLI if I have instructions. I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place or if I need to provide any additional information, if anybody can give me some direction it would be greatly appreciated!

PlugIns cannot be updated / installed

Hi, I m running Emby Server on unRaid with the official Docker Container in the latest version (at least what I ve been showing in the latest stable branch) 3.4.1.0. Since the latest update, the Server can no longer update PlugIns and I get the following Error message: Check for plugin updates failed. The type initializer for 'System.Net.Http.CurlHandler' threw an exception. I also tried to reinstall plugins but Emby cant even get a connection to the plug-ins catalog any longer so I cant reinstall plugins that I deleted for testing purposes on that issue. Any Suggestions on that matter?
  3. I've always run my MB Server on a Windows 7/8 machine and had a separate unRAID NAS for my media. I would like to build a setup for my parents in a single box that they would be able to move from their summer cottage to their winter condo. I'm wondering what the best way would be to do this, specifically with the OS. The hardware I had priced out was this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fzBgzy Obviously that SanDisk and unRAID can be knocked off the bottom. What would you guys recommend for what I'm trying to do here? What reliable/low-maint OS for the storage pool (expandable to the hardware capacity of 8 drives) and MB? I intend to use primarily Roku boxes attached to any TVs at both locations which would be controlled by Windows/Apple Tablets/Phones.
  4. I have messed with the stable emby, and the two most recent beta releases. My server is running Unraid and im using the official Emby docker. The server specs are Core i7 4790 with 32GB ram with a 5Gb/s network connection, allot of my media is stored on a separate Synology server that has a 2Gb/s network connection. Just as a reference I have Plex running using the exact same configuration and it is lightning fast. So the issue I am having is that 99% of the time I open the Emby web app, Windows 10 App, or iPhone app, it is excruciatingly slow. I'm talking 5-10min just to load the main screen, another 5-10 min to load any libraries as well as the TV Guide. Everything is just incredibly slow, or never loads at all. However some times it loads almost instantly, but this seems to be rare. Actually playing media, LiveTV, Movies, Shows, Music, is fast, no problems there at all, no buffering, no stuttering, and silky smooth. My libraries are tiny in comparison to the amount of movies many other users have on these forums, I talking maybe 100 movies IF THAT. The only plugins I am using are the Cover Art, and Collections plugin, but I was having this issue before installing them too. I have attached the two most recent logs. server-63639216000.txt server-63639262214.txt

    Subtitle download not respecting limits?

So I have tried on and off to try to get subtitles download to work without success. I tried searching for the problem but the posts I found indicate that once it reaches the 200 limit on a non-VIP it should stop, however that never seems to happen to me. This has happened over several version (last time I tried was months back) including 3.2.19 which I have loaded right now. I clicked only on episode, then save, then went to tasks and hit the subtitle one to run. It proceeds to spam my activity log and balloons my log file into a massive 200mb file before I was able to stop it by hitting stop manually. Below is my subtitles.xml file (deleted my username and password), and the episode flag is back to false since I had to disable it. I am running Unraid, with the official Emby docker (or was labeled as such). <?xml version="1.0"?> <SubtitleOptions xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SkipIfEmbeddedSubtitlesPresent>false</SkipIfEmbeddedSubtitlesPresent> <SkipIfAudioTrackMatches>false</SkipIfAudioTrackMatches> <DownloadLanguages> <string>eng</string> <string>spa</string> </DownloadLanguages> <DownloadMovieSubtitles>false</DownloadMovieSubtitles> <DownloadEpisodeSubtitles>false</DownloadEpisodeSubtitles> <OpenSubtitlesUsername>xxxxx</OpenSubtitlesUsername> <OpenSubtitlesPasswordHash>xxxx</OpenSubtitlesPasswordHash> <IsOpenSubtitleVipAccount>false</IsOpenSubtitleVipAccount> <RequirePerfectMatch>true</RequirePerfectMatch> </SubtitleOptions> This is the error where it shows rate limit, I got spammed by these until I was able to tell the scan to stop. 2017-06-21 18:46:34.4418 Error App: Error downloading subtitles *** Error Report *** Version: 3.2.19.0 Command line: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe -programdata /config -restartpath /usr/lib/emby-server/restart.sh Operating system: Unix 4.4.30.0 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True Mono: 4.8.1 (Stable 4.8.1.0/22a39d7 Fri Jun 2 05:04:04 UTC 2017) Processor count: 2 Program data path: /config Application directory: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin System.Exception: OpenSubtitles rate limit reached Logfile (its too large to attach): https://www.dropbox.com/s/1tjb09iobrr6wwt/server-63633599999.txt?dl=1
  6. There have been 2 new Emby versions since my last update. The current is 3.2.19, however the "Update Emby Server" button is no longer working. Can someone please direct me to a fix? Thank you. unRIAD version: 6.3.5 Emby Server version: 3.2.17 Plugin Version: 2016.11.30.1 Dependencies: Mono Version: 4.6.2 SQLite3 Version: 2016 2013 FFmpeg Version: 2.7.1 MediaInfo Version: 0.7.63 InfoZip Version: 6.00 Information: Total Storage Usage: 14769 MB Install Directory: 14769 MB
  7. I'm sure there are a few users out there using Emby and unRAID and wanted to see what others are doing. At this time, I'm running Emby and unRAID on separate boxes. The hardware I have for unRAID works good as a storage server, low cpu use, lots of drives, my Emby server (Windows), is more powerful, but less drive expansion at this time. At this time, I'm not interested in building up a new unRAID box and installing Emby via Docker. The problem I'm seeing is inconsistent playback, library management that I'm most likely contributing the unRAID spinning down the disks when not being used. I have a HDHomerun and plan on setting up the DVR portion of Emby shortly. So I'm just looking for some tips from those of you with both Emby and unRAID on separate boxes, are you keeping your disks spinning all the time, are there some plugins I should be looking at to help the media, do I need to move my meta data somewhere else? Thanks, Josh
  8. I'm having an issue trying to transcode with Intel Quick Sync. When I try to force transcoding to use Quick Sync, transcoding never starts. Subtitles Failing to Download

Hello, I'm running Emby in a Docker image, on Unraid. So far very happy with the system, as I am considering moving from Plex to Emby. However, one of the features I do rely on from Plex, is the automatic downloading of Subtitles. I have it configured in Emby, double-verified user / pass was right, and I'm getting nothing but a ton of "Subtitles Failed To Download" My library scan is not complete yet, any help here on why they are failing. Hopefully things start working once the scan for my libraries are done. Maybe it can't tell what subtitle to grab if it hasn't identified the movies yet - what I'm thinking. Can anyone confirm?
  10. Hi All, I am Daniel (danioj). I am quite active over in the unRAID forums and this is where I picked up on Emby Server. I felt the need to register and tell all the contributors to this project that you are doing an excellent job and have created something quite awesome. Within a day I have integrated this wonderful server (via a Docker on my NAS setup) into my setup and am loving it. The way your server creates and manages my media library and the way your new awesome plugin allows me to use that central library on KODI (Openelec) without the hassle of MYSQL or Headless versions of KODI running or notifications being sent from other server applications. It's just what I have been waiting for. Anyway, enough gushing. I did enough of that on my positive review over on the unRAID forums here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=41207.msg390655#msg390655 Hopefully people will follow my lead and start using Emby. If not, they are missing out. I'm looking forward to being involved in your community. Great Job all. Daniel.

    Unraid Support

Yes that means that it's not unpacking properly. If you copy that zip to a windows PC are you able to open it? Also, on your unraid console, when you type "unzip" what shows up? The reason I ask is that I've installed it a number of times on clean unraid installs without issue. So I suspect it's a problem with the zip file or the unzip dependency installed.

    UnRaid 5: Configuration Settings

I'm a very "green" UnRaid 5 user. I've been using Plex currently but interested in trying Media Browser. I have the plugin installed and functioning...have successfully added my media folders...successfully streamed to my Roku units. My questions are around the "configuration" settings. Specifically the config directory, custom images directory, custom cache directory, custom metadata directory, and custom transcode directory. What are they used for/mean? Mine are all currently blank. Also, after installing I have a warning message that stats "your config directory is not persistant and will not servive a reboot. Please locate the directory on disk for persistancy.". I've searched for a " how to" or setup guides with zero luck. Would someone be able to either point me in the right direction or lend me a hand? Thank you in advance for your time and efforts. I do run a cache drive drive if that's needed to know.
  13. So I'm using the Unraid plugin and everything is working good... for the most part. I was able to import my watched states from XBMC and all that good stuff. Very nice program, and I'm very happy with it. One problem I'm having is that the "Latest" tab under TV and Movies is not updating itself. New content is being added to the library but it is not being displayed under that tab. It only shows the content added there after the initial library scan was performed. Any ideas how to resolve this issue? Thanks
