Hi - I am using Emby (latest version 4.5.2.0) on a Fire TV and always had this problem for the past year, even with previous versions. I am using Emby's Guide Data. I am currently getting OTA through Locast, but this exact same problem occurred when I had OTA channels with HDHomerun. Here is: - When opening the live tv guide, I see the list of channels and programming starting from the top (see print screen 1) which is for me starts with channel 2.1 CBS since I sort them by channel number. When I scroll down the channels, I see all channels and program data. For example, scrolling down to 9.1 as seen in print screen 2. - Now if I select a channel located down the guide (9.1 for example), and I then I exit Emby, and go back to Emby, it will by default go back to 9.1 when I open the guide. However the problem if when I scroll up, it then shows "No Program Data Available" for the upper channels above 9.1 (as seen in print screen 3). If I select an upper channel, it comes up fine with the data info for that channel I select. If I select 2.1, and exit Emby and go back in Emby, the TV Guide will by default start at 2.1 and the tv guide is back up exactly like it was in print screen 1. This has been the case in all Fire TV's I have tried this on, I basically cannot exit Emby from a lower scrolled down channel if I want to have a TV guide for the upper channels. I have tried to reboot the server, remove and reload the guide, rescan and reload channels, but this problem has always persisted. Does anyone know if there is fix for this - Thank you

I have a recording from Live TV which I have been unable to delete. I would appreciate any guidance as to where it is stored and how can I delete it. Thanks.

So I got this fancy router for Christmas. It is a netgear night hawk and probably way more router than I need. So I spend a lot of time setting things up and noticed that live Tv wasn't working. So I figured I needed to re-add the tuner on the dashboard like I always do whenever I change anything. So I removed the tuner it had and select HDhomerun and detect new tuner. And it comes back with nothing. I am at a loss, besides hooking my old router back up and returning this thing. Do I need to uninstall HDHomerun completely and reinstall everything? I can't think of a reason that would work. Any help is appreciated.

Irish and Northern Irish Channels emby guide
Nonerobert123 posted a topic in Emby Provided Guide Data
Hi I am wondering if you could help please? I have a hdhomerun using emby guide data (UK extended Eire). As the countries are quite small we share channels. Eire/Ireland channels all mapped great but actually some of the UK ones have not and the option for the missing channels appear to be missing in mapping such as itv 2, citv, itv2+1 etc. Any idea how I can fix this without signing up to additional services? I could try adding another emby guide but world I would have duplicates (as you can't unmapped channels it seems). Cheers for any help you can give -
I use multiple IPTV providers in emby. Currently emby groups them all together into one massive, hard to navigate guide. Is there a way I can split up Live TV into multiple groups? Separate, nameable Live TV groups for each m3u link I provide?

(sorta-SOLVED) No tv guide data and channel stutter
Guest posted a topic in Emby Provided Guide Data
What am I doing wrong? I have added my hauppauge tuner and let it pretend to collect guide data with the progress bar but it's never actually producing any for any channel. I can view channels which tend to stutter constantly. My internet and antenna signal are not the issue as I can watch it stutter free from the app that the tuner came with. When Plex actually worked right which it rarely did, there was guide data and no stutter. So my only conclusion is it's an issue with Emby. It also doesn't matter what devise I'm on. Latest updates of everything. Any advice would be appreciated. EDIT: So looking at another similar post I realize I have to map the guide manually which is fine just annoying. I'm trying to now and will edit when I finish the manual thing. EDIT #2 Okay for the most part the guide came in. I may have set a channel wrong here and there. My area seems to have several duplicate channels so finding the right one was questionable. I do have a large antique antenna on my roof so I'm getting channels outside my normal viewing area. But it does seem like Emby is allowing me to add most of the channels I'm picking up unlike Plex which wouldn't even allow me to add court tv because it couldn't get guide data. Kinda dumb in my opinion. EDIT #3 Still seeing channel stuttering and channel 3 NBC or KSNW 3.1 as it's called locally. It plays perfect in the hauppauge app but refused to even load on emby. I'm made sure the correct channel is mapped. Going to restart the server to see if this has any effect. EDIT#4 After restart only a little stutter at the beginning but all seems good at channel 3. I guess sometimes it just takes a restart. Weird lol. I'm still having issues with some channels stuttering but it could also be due to my antenna positioning. I will look into that and if need be make a new thread specific to the issue. My main concern was getting to watch Lester Holt at 530 everyday. Cheers. -
So, the title sums it up for the majority of people. I'll set a show to tape, it will cut out at random times. Unsure why. And I am left with 10 second recordings, 2 minute recordings, 34 minute records, get it? What would cause this? Network is fine, I think.

Tablo would be a great Plugin for Emby. Tablo capabilities (I'm no shill) Tablo is a whole home quad station tuner DVR for cord cutters. It has (in Beta) the ability to remove advertisements from "recorded" content. It allows you to watch and record up to 4 HD channels at the same time. Tablo is a network-connected DVR that streams live and recorded content over the air HD TV from your antenna through the Tablo to Roku, Android, IOS, Amazon, Microsoft & Web Browsers... High-definition transcoding provides the best picture quality while optimizing storage and Wi-Fi bandwidth usage. Connect up to 8 TB that can be added externally through USB ports and\or Internal Sata interface for SSD. RJ45 10/100/1000, wireless 2.4 & 5 -Ghz. The wireless feature allowed me to put the antenna in the attic, it detected almost 80 Channels with a $20 antenna! I would be grateful if a plugin for this was coded.

PBS kids tends to start shows 5 minutes after the scheduled time (i.e. 7:35 AM not 7:30AM). I would prefer the flexibility to delay the start . Live TV > Series > Start when possible ..."-5" minutes before. Currently both fields do not allow negative numbers. Maybe even the flexibility to cut the recording short from the designated time slot as well, though I haven't experienced this use case.

Hi guys, I'm having trouble with live TV M3U streams regularly dropping out while watching via Emby-stream stops and the user is placed back on the guide screen. It occurs on all devices, regularly but at sporadic timing (anywhere from 30 seconds to an hour) and does not occur when direct streaming the source link with VLC. I have attached associated server and ffmpeg log files, any help would be much appreciated! ffmpeg-transcode-b56fc0a1-1543-4f46-a4ec-8a7768bebc71_1.txt embyserver.txt

Hello. I'm trying to set up the TVHeadend plugin, and I got to the point where I can see the scheduled recordings, and play any archived recording. But I cannot see any live channel, the list is just empty. I can confirm EPG is working in the TVH web interface, and I can see TV streams through the .m3u address. I have tried by clicking on "Refresh EPG" in the Emby admin panel, with no luck. I am attaching logs. Any Help, please? embyserver.txt

I have having recording failures. Sometimes its 40 min, sometimes 15min. The server reports stream server closed connection. and it retries, but gets 403 error. and quits after 435ms. I need this to be much longer and have it try more.... From the log, i gather my iptv service is dropping connection, and it take several seconds for it to accept a new connection. here is what log says, removed the iptv url. 2020-07-13 16:15:53.562 Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Remote server closed stream http:// 2020-07-13 16:15:53.563 Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Retry opening stream http:// 2020-07-13 16:15:53.563 Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Opening SharedHttpPipelineSource Live stream from http:// 2020-07-13 16:15:53.563 Info HttpClient: GET http:/ 2020-07-13 16:15:53.999 Info HttpClient: Http response 403 from http:// after 435ms. Hey Everyone, I have recently setup a HDHomerun on my server. I seem to keep getting random stops while watching the news, getting out of Live TV and then back brings it back up. I have looked at the logs and don't see nothing off the bat, any assistance would be great? embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-3f8bffe5-3e2b-42c3-8ef4-7c96a6a5aa6f_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-91e3a435-7a50-4cd2-aee0-b739c313e1b0_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-360d6dd0-4fdc-4c99-9591-ec8c27129b79_1.txt

Live TV mini Guide switching channels fails when all tuners are in use but shouldn't be
CarloDiGi posted a topic in Live TV
Hi all, thank you for this great product! I wanted to share an annoying issue I run into on the Android TV version of the Emby app when using the live tv mini guide. I hope below describes the issue clearly and I am willing to help wherever I can! Server: Latest stable Linux server docker image on unraid. Emby server version is 4.4.3.0 using Live TV via HDHomeRun Prime (3 tuner) using Emby Guide Data Client: This issue happens in apps that have the mini guide such as Android TV in my case Nvidia shield pro 2020. *I can DM logs if needed but its very easy to repo and consistent. I believe I know the server logic that may need to changed to fix this issue. Repro steps: 1. Saturate the Tuners having (in my case 3 devices watching 3 different shows) 2. On any one of the devices open the mini guide while watching say channel 7 and switch to another channel say channel 9 that the other 2 devices are not watching. Results: The server will prevent the channel switching because its still tuned to channel 7 so there will be no open tuner. This shows and error and stops playback. Workaround: Close the current viewing session before choosing another one. For example instead of switching the channel via the mini guide, back out of live tv to the full guide to change channels and things will work. Potential Emby Server logic fix: When changing channel via the mini guide, check to see if anyone else is watching the pre channel change channel (7 from the example above) and if not close the session with the tuner and then open a new session as there should be a tuner available. -
I added 3 m3u tuners that only show one in the home ?? how can you do to divide the tv series sections etc. I don't like everything together thank you

Hi All I have just moved over to Emby from Plex and I have setup my Live TV via IPTV in the App from my supplier. The channels download and play OK but I cannot get the Guide to show what is on....nothing shows only the channel names. The format of my M3U statement is https://website link/my username/password - do I need to get some additional settings from my IPTV supplier? I am using the app on a samsung tv Thanks Phil

I am trying to install a live TV card, I have tried two different cards with no luck. hear is the screen shouts of the steps that i have tried and the last server log. I set up PLEX on the same server and it works fine. PLEX found 412 channels. embyserver.txt

Would it be possible to display the channel alongside (underneath, on top?) the channel logo artwork? It is sooooooo difficult to try to decipher these tiny icons, which usually don't have any channel number info. While logos may have some value, and are pretty, the channel number is indispensable while attempting to scroll through what could be hundreds of possibilities. I understand screen real estate is severely limited, but leaving the channel number out just isn't a good UI decision. Something has to give, even if it means fewer lines of guide per screen. We need the channel number!!

Lots of buffering and pixelation in Live TV with HDhomerun Extend
sharrisct25@hotmail.com posted a topic in General/Windows
So I have been running Emby for years but just recently pushed back into Live TV. I purchased 2 HDhomerun Extends to do that. I choose the Extends because I wanted to minimize load on the server. For understanding My clients are Roku devices of assorted versions, Roku 3, Roku 4, a couple of Roku sticks. I occasionally use my Android app. There are 10 devices total but only 2 maybe 3 are running at a time. About half of my Roku devices are connected to my 1gig ethernet switch and the other half connected to a wireless network My server is a virtual install of Emby on Windows 10 with 6 cores and 16GB or RAM. Trans coding goes to local storage which is on a RAID 5 array of SSD drives I am Emby premier running version 4.4.2 and the Roku beta app So everything setup super easily and technically works; however the quality and reliability is horrible. Since I have nothing else hooked up to my new antenna my first thought was that the reception is poor so I downloaded the HDhomerun Roku app and tried that. To my surprise the HDhomerun app is perfect, no interruptions, great picture quality, fast switching etc. So I did some testing swapping back and forth between Emby and the HDhomerun app on the same device and the results are consistent, the problem is only in Emby. I have read a number of posts around this and most of the items I have covered. The problem does look to be I am trans-coding despite having the HDhomerun extend. That said none of the other posts seem to have a way to keep that from happening. Is there a setup guide I did not find or something? Has anyone else conquered this. Thanks -
HELP! Anyone else experiencing this problem? I have been using the Live TV (IPTV M3U URL tuner) feature successfully on my Ubuntu Server (Version 19.10) with the version prior to 4.4.2.0. I upgraded and the Live TV section is blank/empty, no guide, no channels all blank.. Most recent Emby Server log file attached for review embyserver.txt

It'd be great to have an option to view Series in a Series view rather than an Episode view for upcoming TV. As you can see it can end up pretty annoying:
