Hi, Just get to the point: I don't understand how to add livetv to my emby. I am on premier. I would like to add the following URL https://c201-node61-cdn.connectmedia.hu/150104/73f12637302d2a725a5a806ae03e30e9/674c9304/index.m3u8?v=5iip:152.89.160.131 to emby LiveTV Is it possible somehow ? I cannot read out from the descriptions. Thank you in advance.

Curious about what all changed in this plugin update. I am seeing a big difference in connectivity between my manicured source and emby… as in concurrency appears to be handled internally by emby. Please advise.

not 100% sure its related, but I am only getting recordings for 1 hour now, and it coincides to the same update.

Hi guys, I'm looking for options for a reliable PAID IPTV service to use with Emby. I have used Villo in the past and that worked pretty well. But I'm trying to build a list and guide for setting up IPTV properly on Emby. So looking for all the options that have been tested and known to be reliable. Any assistance and information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Is it possible in livetv to assign a m3u to one or more users? I have two IPTV subscriptions with two streams each. I would like it to be shared between the 4 accounts in the house. How can I do this? Thanks
-
Hi, it will be great to have option to bind television lists (m3u) to specific users. So that I can add many lists and there will be no problem if few users watch channels at the same time. Regards.

POOL Multiple m3u Tuners - No Double or Duplicate Channels
pir8radio posted a topic in Feature Requests
-= PLEASE UP VOTE & PROMOTE THIS REQUEST IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS FEATURE =- DO THIS BY CLICKING THE "LIKE" BUTTON ON THIS POST REQUEST: Properly pool multiple M3u IPTV sources, so when adding more than one with the exact same M3u emby treats them as one source with however many "Concurrent Streams" you set for each. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63725-multiple-iptv-tuners-double-channels/?p=636718 https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/59607-duplicate-channels-one-tuner/?p=607031 https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/57420-multiple-identical-m3u-tuners-without-duplicate-channels/?p=560949 Basically once M3u #1 has used all 5 of its tuners, I then need to start using the login info that is within M3u #2... once those 5 tuners are used (now all 10 tuners), then emby issues "no tuners available". This is how emby treats HDhomeruns today, so it can't be to difficult. @@snodrog742 @@manolodf @@robrhedrick @@cayars- 70 replies

Hello, with the M3UTUNNER plugin, currently when I put an m3u link, sometimes it accepts it and other times it doesn't and when it accepts it I can see content for up to a few minutes and it throws me out giving me the following error: Exception of type 'MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException' was thrown.

I'm starting Emby. I have Emby Premier. The problem I have is with live tv, since when I add my m3u list all the channels are loaded but they are not played. If I try the same m3u list in a player like VLC or another media player like IPTV Smarters Pro it works perfectly. attaching m3u list test. I wanted to add the vod streams from my iptv provider into emby and make it look like the other movie and tv show directories. I couldn't find a free tool to do this ridiculously simple task, and so I decided to put my python skills to work for other my other emby enthusiasts. Hope it helps someone. Depending on the type of m3u file you have, one of these scripts may support it, or you may need to post a few lines of your TV shows and Movies in order for me to add parsing for it. Check below in the updates to see which script you want to use depending on how your m3u file is formatted. Type 1: https://github.com/silence48/m3u2strm/blob/master/m3u2strm.py Type 2: https://github.com/silence48/m3u2strm/blob/master/m3u2strm-2.py UPDATES code Last Updated 3/26/2020 Update on 3/26/2020 I have released a new version which is more versitile. You can find it at https://github.com/silence48/m3u2strm/tree/nextgen This one handles more m3u types, and has support for live tv streams (though live tv is not yet implemented.) I was able to generate about 10000 stream files with this in less than 2 minutes. Update on 3/14/2020 In order to make this script more globally compatible... if anyone can PM me the first 25 lines of your m3u file for your VOD TV (please edit out your username and password before sending it) it will allow me to add parsing for other companies m3u files. The current supported formats are as follows: For TV Shows: #EXTINF:0 group-title="TV VOD",HD : My Hero Academia S04E10 #EXTGRP:TV VOD http://URL (for daily running shows like "The Late Show" or "Jimmy Fallon" #EXTINF:0 group-title="TV VOD",HD : Jimmy Fallon 2019 12 20 Eddie Murphy 720p WEB x264-XLF #EXTGRP:TV VOD http://tURL For Movies: #EXTINF:0 group-title="Movie VOD",HD : The Adventure Of A R I My Robot Friend 2020 #EXTGRP:Movie VOD http://URLS Update on 3/18/2020 I have created a second script for the other VOD m3u files mentioned. It can be found located at : https://github.com/s...r/m3u2strm-2.py Eventually when I have some time I will make it just a single script, right now the code is not very clean, I need to break stuff into separate classes and functions, then I can have a single script to parse them all, but for now this works. This one supports TV shows in the following formats: #EXTINF:-1,|FR| Blindspot S01 |FR| Blindspot 01x12 - Super soldat http://serverIPTV.co...ssword/9975.mkv #EXTINF:-1,|FR| Burger Quiz S01 |FR| Burger Quiz 01x05 http://serverIPTV.co...word/751209.mkv and Movies in this format: #EXTINF:-1,|FR| Le plan B http://serverIPTV.co...word/755418.mkv

Hello good, Having version 4.8.7.0 of emby everything was going well but suddenly on live TV I receive the following message when accessing a channel. "Exception of type 'MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException' was thrown." I tried it for several minutes and when I changed the M3U URL it told me that I couldn't access the TV provider but other times I didn't get the message. Later, when I finally didn't get any error message and I accessed the channels within a minute or so, I kicked you out of the channel with the previous message: "Exception of type 'MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException' was thrown." I updated to the latest stable version 4.8.8.0 and seeing that I was still having problems, I uploaded to the latest beta version 4.9.0.23-beta but it didn't solve anything. I looked at the server logs but I didn't understand the error, because of my nerves and haste I didn't review it much. I tried to uninstall/install the M3U plugin but it was still the same, so in the end I made a redirection to the emergency server with version 4.8.6.0 and in this version it has not failed so far so something from version 4.8.7.0 It must be giving me an error, I have several plugins to see the disk space, for user copies and some more for advanced options that in the end I never touch, the error has been from one moment to the next although it had already been running for days with 4.8. 7.0 so I rule out almost 100% that it could be the emby version. There are plugins that have been updated but none have been updated in a week so I don't understand anything. I attach a log with the error message. Thank you very much in advance for the help. 2024-06-06 18:32:34.783 Error LiveTV: Error in GetChannelStreamWithDirectStreamProvider *** Error Report *** Version: 4.9.0.23 Command line: /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /var/lib/emby -ffdetect /opt/emby-server/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -updatepackage emby-server-deb_{version}_amd64.deb Operating system: Linux version 5.15.0-105-generic (buildd@lcy02-amd64-007) (gcc (Ubuntu 11.4.0-1ubuntu1~22.04) 11.4.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Ubuntu) 2.38) #115-Ubun OS/Process: x64/x64 Framework: .NET 8.0.5 Runtime: opt/emby-server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 24 Data path: /var/lib/emby Application path: /opt/emby-server/system MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException: MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException: Exception of type 'MediaBrowser.Common.Extensions.RemoteServiceUnavailableException' was thrown. at Emby.LiveTV.TunerHosts.SharedHttpPipelineSource.OpenStream(IDisposable connectionContext, MediaSourceInfo mediaSource, String url, MediaProtocol protocol, CancellationToken cancellationToken, Int32 recursion) at Emby.LiveTV.TunerHosts.SharedHttpPipelineSource.OpenInternal(CancellationToken openCancellationToken) at Emby.LiveTV.TunerHosts.LiveStream.Open(CancellationToken openCancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Controller.LiveTv.BaseTunerHost.GetChannelStream(TunerHostInfo tuner, BaseItem dbChannnel, String tunerChannelId, String mediaSourceId, List`1 currentLiveStreams, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.LiveTV.EmbyTV.GetChannelStreamWiembyserver-63853296226.txtthDirectStreamProvider(BaseItem dbChannel, String providerChannelId, String streamId, List`1 currentLiveStreams, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: Emby.LiveTV TargetSite: Void MoveNext()

When I click "refresh guide data" to manually refresh data the status shows that it downloads the XML data for 7 days worth of data for 100+ channels in less than 5 seconds but Emby GUI shows no channels or guide data. I can access and see all the xml data by putting URL into a web browser so it's not an access issue. There are no errors in the log after refresh (shows completion in <5sec) and it properly shows the TV channels recognized from M3u source. Furthermore I can see .xml files generated by Emby with timestamps associated to the refresh action in /config/xmltv that appear to have all the correctly formatted XML data.... just nothing shows up in the GUI. Running Emby as Docker Container via docker compose pulling latest image Logs after refresh - embyserver (3).txt config/xmltv folder screenshot : embyserver (3).txt snipit of XML file generated at 14:53 from log file: and finally the empty guide in the GUI:

Hello everyone, I have the following scenario: Emby is set up on a Windows 2022 Server TV shows and movies are running IPTV integration is possible and functional Now, the situation is as follows: I have 4 access credentials (m3u links) from the same provider, each limited to 1 connection per access. I would like to run IPTV through Emby and allow 4 connections to run simultaneously. I am the main user, and there are 3 additional users who can access Emby separately. I have set the maximum connections per tuner to 1. Problem: When I integrate all 4 m3u links, only one person can watch at a time, and the connection is interrupted for all others. It seems as if Emby is only using the access data from the first m3u link. Does anyone have experience with this and can help? Info: The m3u links are loaded through IPTVBoss, where I edit the channel list and EPG, which are then output as new m3u and xml files. These are then integrated into Emby. In IPTVBoss, I have all 4 m3u links (access data) set up as separate layouts, but the EPG is shared from one file. This looks as follows: Emby1.m3u (User1) Emby1.xml Emby2.m3u (User2) Emby3.m3u (User3) Emby4.m3u (User4) Best regards, Cordez

Hi, Please add to m3u flags: tvg-url - so xmltv guide data can be bound directly to a channel or m3u file, bypassing the built-in gui method

Hello, im using a Enigma2 receiver with OpenATV 7.x. I created a *.m3u8 from the OpenWebIF-Plugin. (see screenshot) If i copy the m3u8 file to my Synology DS720+ and add it in Emby as a M3U-Tuner, i can´t see any channels. On my Windows 11 Computer with e.g. VLCplayer its working just fine. Can someone tell me, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

Hello everyone, I am new to Emby. I bought an Emby premiere couple of days ago as I would like to use IPTV with my Emby server. I successfully set up the live tv (even though I am still struggling with setting up the EPG for Italian channels - any suggestions?) and it is all working fine. My IPTV provider has also a VOD M3U. I looked here at the forum and I found a way to manage to convert M3U to STRM. The strm has all the folders listed correctly right but no files/content of my VOD. I did some testing adding the file folder system to my emby library but it is just a matryoshka of empty folders (correctly named though). Can anyone help me?

With my limited testing, it appears that watching IPTV on my mobile device when I am using my mobile data still connects to my home network which uses uses my home network bandwidth also. Is there anyway to have Emby mobile connect directly to the IPTV service and not use my home networks bandwith? Edit: The source of my IPTV is an m3u.

Hello, just discovered this program and it seems really awesome in general - I'm now trying to see if it fits my requirements, but I've hit an issue with playing a Livestream via LiveTV m3u tuner. The source livestream runs in 720p and VLC plays it back at the correct resolution, however the emby player only reports a playback resolution of Auto - 480p (visually it seems even worse than 480p). I've included the ffmpeg-transcode log of one of my attempts. I've tried to find settings in the server that pertain to my issue but couldn't find anything (most of the encoding settings seem to be recording-related). Would be very thankful for your help, I'd love to get this working and finally have a solution that actually works. ffmpeg-transcode-b8905aaa-dbdb-4962-b790-bb24b9148b88.txt

Hello Emby Community, I'm using m3u2strm python script to parse my m3u. I have it setup with windows scheduler as well. This issue I'm having with one of my tv series m3u is the process is breaking at the show "#Black". I know # tells python to comment out. How can I get around this issue or ignore it during the parsing process without having to manually edit the m3u myself? The scheduler is set to run every night at midnight, so the m3u is downloaded every night and updates back to the "#Black". I need a way to either edit or ignore during the automated download and parsing process. Thanks in advance for all help or suggestions. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JLqn_Ix7fnHSQscW8LhIuoh8qn2i5ZI2?usp=sharing

Hello! Can someone please tell me how the emby server deal with a .m3u list? I am trying to add one that is like this: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="100" channel-name="channel ABC" tvg-logo="http://some.logo.link.100.png"group-title="group A",channel name http;//some.stream.link.100.m3u8 #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="101" channel-name="channel DEF" tvg-logo="http://some.logo.link.101.png"group-title="group A",channel name http;//some.stream.link.102.m3u8 #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="102" channel-name="channel GHI" tvg-logo="http://some.logo.link.102.png"group-title="group A",channel name http;//some.stream.link.103.m3u8 and so on..... In live-tv section on web-browser, in channels tab, the channel 101 and 707 are displayed before everything else (see image). Is any reason that happen? I did a new installation of emby-server on my local machine and the list is displayed correctly. I did a clean cache in the server, remove and re-add, refresh channels, change name of the list from aaa.m3u to bbb.m3u, change the link of the channel, remove the lines of that tow channels e re-add. The result is all the same, if the channels are in the list the order in web-browser is that one. In the emby add-on for kodi its even worst, because the order is by name and not by the number. I have a lots of channels, they all organized in the .m3u file, they are ordered properly. I think if the order in the web-browser, and in the order apps by the way, should be the order of the .m3u file. Or in alternative, it should be possible to order manually or by order criteria. If i add a xmtv file the order in the mapping list is the order in the files, so i cant understand way the view of the daily basis its not the same. I think this problem should be resolved if i do a clean install, but since i have the server running on a slow machine and i have a lots of media added to him, the reconfiguration will be a nightmare. I moved the data folder to a backup (for tests) and start emby-server, its basically a new installation because all the settings are gone, i added the list and everything is fine. _______ In other scenario if i add the list with tvg-id tag, the names of every channel appear 2 times like 101 101, i don't understand why too. Maybe because the tvg-id is used to get the number and the name, but if that's the case the interface should display only one of them, even if i use the tvg-id and the channel-name, the interface shows the same. _______ Last but not least It would be awesome if the emby deal with the time-in xmltv, like, my xmltv have channels from different countries, and the hours are displayed like 201609011200 -0200, in this case the program is start 10:00 UTC, so if i am in UTC +1 in my time should start at 11:00. _______ To all developers a huge thank you for this awesome media server.Keep up the good work!!
