  1. This probably is simple, and has to be done. There are lots of screens in Emby that DON'T update the browser title bar. That leaves some outdated info in title bar when we go browsing Emby. In general... what I've noticed: - Screens of Server Management updates the title bar - Movie/Episode screen updates the title bar - Several screens of "Emby Home" panel doesn't updates the title bar - Choosing a library doesn't updates the title bar - Changing tabs in Home doesn't updates the title bar - Choosing Metadata Manager doesn't updates the title bar - Choosing Reports doesn't updates the title bar

    Vivaldi

Just wondering if you guys have any plans to support Vivaldi in the (not too distant) future. It shows libraries and settings and stuff fine but doesn't actually play an awful lot. Thanks.
  3. Hi, I'm running a Debian server. In my Emby-installation I have three sections: Movies, TV Shows, Music. Playing inside the browser works perfectly. Playing on my FireTV using the app (local network) works well too. I also can connect to the FireTC via the web interface and control movies perfectly fine. But I cannot connect to the FireTV via web interface and start music. Once connected if I click on a song or album, nothing happens. Disconnecting makes the music play just fine on my computer. There's not a single clue what's wrong, can someone help me?
  4. This was working fine prior to the most recent server upgrade (Version 3.0.5871.0). I have not added any extensions or changed Chrome's browser settings. Screenshots (contemporaneous) attached. FWIW, I do note that the server is failing to "Check for application updates" on the visible IE browser. I am currently viewing all of this remotely, but I can upload logs when I get home if necessary. Curious if this has any relation to the other forum topic re: browser UI issues with editing.

    Issues with subtitles

There are some issues with the subtitles I'd like your thoughts on. I have not been doing any extensive testing, but it shall seem the issue at least arises during playback using Chrome webrowser. Quick, rough testing done with Emby Android App on a couple of files, reveal the issue seems not appear there. I have only done very basic preliminary testing, but it shall seem that SRT subtitles embedded into an MKV container does not function the way one would expect it to. I am referring to browser Chrome and Emby 3.0.5781.8. I have in my profile set English subtitles to be chosen during playback. During testing on at the very least 5 video files, I encounter more than one issue. First, during video playback, the english subtitles are applied as expected, but they are applied twice; meaning, each line of subtitle is repeated twice. That is, the subtitles are duplicated. Line 1 would be repeated on line 2 or line 1 and 2 would be repeated on line 3 and 4. If i weren't so damned lazy, I'd provide a picture of how it looks. Furthermore, it would seem that changing the subtitle language doesn't work with the embedded SRT subs. That is, I change the language via the menu in Chrome, but the expected change is not applied. It would appear there's no way to change them at all. Additionally and although it's been stated, it will seem that files with embedded subtitles are processed significantly slower than those files who are without subs. I suppose I am wondering whether Emby Team has planned an overhaul on the system that takes care of embedded subtitles. I acknowledge that my testing has been very limited and there are things I could have missed, but the issue is so dominant that I'll have to find ways to make it more performance and user friendly. Could my options be of looking into ways to exttract subs from the mkv and make them external? Or would you know if the issue arise due to the MKV file itself containing embedded subtitles? Thank you for your consideration, Thomas
  6. Hello, Is it possible to use MPC as an external player using the web client ? Thank you
  7. I've been trying to get this to work now for a few weeks. Hate to compare to the "other" media server out there, Plex, but this resume function kinda has me scratching my head. It seems to me the way it should work, as it does on the other tool, is when say a video, be it TV, Movie, whatever, is started on the Android App or in a browser, the server should remember the spot where the video was stopped, then no matter how long it is later, I should be able to pick up right back at that same spot, aka, Resume, correct? In Emby, I start a video playing on Android, then it does indeed show up in the Resume category in the browser with the green bar indicating how much is left to view, I select Resume for playback, and without fail it goes back to the beginning of the video. I hate to sound like I'm complaining, because I truly find the convenience of either of these media server tools to be mind blowing, and Emby has some great stuff going for it over Plex, except this one thing has been bugging me, and as a supporting member of the community/tool, I'd really like to have this aspect functioning. I've attached an image of my Playback/Resume settings. Maybe I'm missing something completely obvious. If so, any thoughts? Thanks! Brandon
  8. Can anyone give me an example how to request json data from the api in a http url?
  9. Back in the day, I had an ATI TV tuner that conveniently integrated TV with a sidebar in Internet Explorer. It was the most fantastic thing, to browse the web with a TV display inside the browser. To this day, I have not seen another attempt to accomplish something so multimedia feature rich. I thought I'd put a feature request in with the Media Browser crew, hoping you can deliver on such a fantastic way of browsing the web. I mocked up a Photoshop pic illustrating what I'm referring to. Hope this looks like something worthwhile. Thanks for the development of Media Browser, I'm using it with my Ceton tuner and it works so brilliantly!
  10. Hi, because of some problems with the "Windows 8" MediaBrowser on "Windows Technical Preview", I'm using the direct browser-based connection instead. So far, playback is great, but it seems there's no easy way to go from the "Latest" page to directly play the latest recording from any series. When I click on the "latest", it takes me to the full series listing, and I then seem to need to scroll down and click on the season, then scroll down to find the episode. I am probably missing something but shouldn't the 'latest' view let me play the 'latest' episode directly? Hopefully this is an easy thing that I'm just not seeing. This is IE 11 on the Technical Preview of Windows 10. Thanks!

    Media Browser Theater?

Where is the media browser theater located or how do I get setup with it or what is it exactly?
  12. When you work with zoomed browser web app produces a minor rendering bug: Here: It gets annoying if you scroll, because those pixels change rapidly catching your eye. Cheers,
  13. -I currently have MB3 server running and my xbox 360 with windows media center has the MB classic installed. For some reason it's pulling in all the episodes metadata and I don't even have my shows in that folder?
