I cannot find my original post in my notifications or else's where so I sum up again. @Lukeyou wrote that it will be fixed with the next update that's not the case. the opposite. I'm sure nobody has even used a tablet with mouse for 30min. otherwise you would realize very fast that the emby is not working on basic functionalities - you can't see the mouse therefore you can't use it. but if you park in the middle or other wrong places the overly is not hiding. it's really a joke, for +1 year now - there's no screensaver with paused videos. also +1 year - sometimes the video plays somehow in the background but you can't bring it up not even via notifications so you have to pause via notocicatiins close the notification and start emby again. what ux design is that? - play positions are not sent to server while pausing. so continue on another device brings you to the beginning of your previous session

Hi, I'm using the Emby Theater for Windows. I love it. Only gripe is regarding the ability to Pause Music. Videos work perfectly, using a keyboard if I press Play/Pause then the movie pauses, and starts playing again. When I'm playing music if I press Play/Pause then it restarts playing the current song and deletes all others from the queue. If I use the mouse to hit the pause button then it works as expected. Could you plesae make a modification to make the Play/Pause in Music function the same as with Videos? I'm hoping to introduce Emby to our customer base and this is the main flaw. Thanks, Steve

Next Chapter and Previous Chapter are now missing, or replaced by inappropriate functionality for video playback, in Emby Theater. Next/Previous Chapter are two of the four basic transport control tools for video. Skip Forward / Backward enable the user to skim around (and provide a substitute for conventional fast forward and rewind). Next/Previous Chapter enable the user to jump quickly and precisely between major points in a movie (and perhaps in TV shows if so authored). They replicate the behavior found in every DVD, Blu-Ray and UHD player for playback of physical media. These chapter locations come by default in all media I've bought, so I've come to rely on this feature. There's some indication that Next/Previous Chapter were removed from Video playback, and now only work for Audio. That goes against user expectation, is a fundamental feature loss from how Emby Theater worked just recently, and is contrary to Emby's documentation. I trust the normal behavior can be restored expediently. Thanks. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Keyboard%20and%20Remote%20Support control-f: next chapter or track control-b: previous chapter or track

I am new to Emby from Plex. I was really tired of the poor performance and numerous bugs ruining my library. Anyway, so far I like everything about Emby, server, media recognition and responsiveness. The only issue I have is with the browser playback, specifically Chrome, but the issue happens in Firefox as well. Standard playback controls work like pause/play with spacebar, fullscreen with F and skip ahead/back with shift+arrow keys. The audio control does not work, I tried up/down arrows with and without shift, the ones that I found on the web F9/F10 and nothing works to control the audio level with a keyboard. It does work if I control the slider with the mouse, and as long as the audio adjustment indicator is overlayed on the video the up/down arrows work to adjust the audio. But as soon as it disappears the controls no longer work. I am not sure if I am missing something or using it wrong. Any tips or advise? Thanks

Hi guys, I have an issue on OSX with the keyboard controls. The space (play/pause) doesn't work consistently. It's like there is a long delay between the time I press space and the time the player get the control command. This is going on and off, there are times when it's working perfect, pressing space either plays or pauses the movie, and times when it's not working at all. This happens on a MacBook AIR, with both Safari and Chrome browsers, in all movies (not specific to one). Thank you,

Hi all. When I was using XBMC I started to look into setting up a remote control before I stumbled upon Media Browser and got side tracked (In a good way). I’m currently using MB through the web interface and would like to know is there a way to set it up with a MCE remote control / keyboard combination mapped to a button / third party application? It would just polish the experiance for none technical family members if I could set one up. Regards, Lee

Keyboard combination to skip forwards/backwards x seconds/y minutes?
Silver posted a topic in Windows Media Center
Hi, In Windows Media Center you can type 520 [ctrl] [shift] F and it will jump forward 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Doing 120 [ctrl] [shit] B will jump 1 minute 20 seconds backwards. In Media Browser, if you do the first example then it jumps forward a chunk of time, immediately jumps back to the place where you were and then starts playing in double speed. Is there a key combination that allows you to jump forwards/backwards in the same way you can in Windows Media Center? Does this key combination differ if you're using the enhanced video player?* Doesn't matter if you have to enter minutes and seconds or if it's just seconds. I intend to map the keyboard combination to a button on my remote. Many thanks! * I have to turn this functionality off because it makes playback jittery.
