I cannot find my original post in my notifications or else's where so I sum up again. @Lukeyou wrote that it will be fixed with the next update that's not the case. the opposite. I'm sure nobody has even used a tablet with mouse for 30min. otherwise you would realize very fast that the emby is not working on basic functionalities - you can't see the mouse therefore you can't use it. but if you park in the middle or other wrong places the overly is not hiding. it's really a joke, for +1 year now - there's no screensaver with paused videos. also +1 year - sometimes the video plays somehow in the background but you can't bring it up not even via notifications so you have to pause via notocicatiins close the notification and start emby again. what ux design is that? - play positions are not sent to server while pausing. so continue on another device brings you to the beginning of your previous session

Hello! I just received my S7+ and immediately installed Emby on it. I tried to play a 4K HDR movie to test and colors are washed out. The same movie in 1080p (non-HDR) have correct colors. Is it a matter of adding this new device to some kind of list of supported devices (like Netflix does iirc) in the Emby app or in an underlying library, or is it a bigger issue? Thanks PS: playing the downloaded 4K HDR movie in VLC for Android shows the correct colors.

Aspect Ratio change doesn't stick when going to next episode on android tablet 3.1.73
Maisy posted a topic in Android
On my Samsung Tab S3 I have some TV shows that are Apect Ratio 4:3 and Auto for Aspect Ratio setting on a video doesn't work for them, I have to use COVER for them to display properly. I have to choose this every time a new episode begins on the tablet. The tablet is a 4:3 tablet so these shows are best watched on it, but having to pick "cover" over and over and over and over is really annoying. I can watch the same show on Emby Theater on my PC, have to use COVER there too, fill whatever size window I have ET opened to, but it sticks when watching one episode after another, unlike on my tablet with Android Mobile. Is there a way to keep Aspect Ratio: "Cover" on my tablet for 4:3 content ... make the setting stick per session, or per device, at least. Something better than it currently is? ---------------------------- 3.1.73 current emby android mobile app on my tablet.- 1 reply

I just bought a Fire 7 (gen 7) Amazon tablet over black Friday and went to setup Emby on it. I ended up install the Play Store so I could install Emby (v 3.0.21). When I try content on my home network everything works perfect but when I try to play the same content out side of my home network I get "Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." Also when I select "Got It" on this the app keeps trying to connect and constantly displaying the same error message over and over. This will not stop until I close the app. If I open Emby in the Silk web browser video plays with no problem when outside of the network. I have several fire tv sticks that use the emby tv app without issues outside of the network. My phone using the android Emby app also can play video with not issue. I do have the Emby server running behind a proxy for https but as I mentioned it works fine with everything else. nginx server config for emby server { server_name DOMAINNAME; location / { proxy_pass http://192.168.11.51:8096/; proxy_set_header Host X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header Host warded-Ssl $host:$server_port; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Protocol $scheme; proxy_redirect off; proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade; proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade"; } listen [::]:8096 ssl ipv6only=on; # managed by Certbot listen 8096 ssl; # managed by Certbot ssl_certificate /etc/letsencrypt/live/DOMAINNAME/fullchain.pem; # managed by Certbot ssl_certificate_key /etc/letsencrypt/live/DOMAINNAME/privkey.pem; # managed by Certbot include /etc/letsencrypt/options-ssl-nginx.conf; # managed by Certbot ssl_dhparam /etc/letsencrypt/ssl-dhparams.pem; # managed by Certbot client_max_body_size 10G; fastcgi_buffers 64 4k; } Is there any reason that the android app will not work on my Fire Table outside of my network?

I am trying to download a movie from my Emby server to a Amazon Fire tablet. I've installed the client, and can see the movie I want. When I click the download, it lets me specify the quality. Once I press the download button, nothing seems to happen, how do I know what is going on?? In the 'download & sync' section all I see is the movie I selected, and "ready to transfer". Should it not be transferring it?

GUI design elements/features that need addressing. Present in the Win 10 Store Emby app and Emby Theater (desktop software). I primarily use the Win 10 (Store App) Guide button and Guide page tab only shows in TV Horizontal mode. No way to access Guide in any other view mode (Desktop/Tablet) No Guide Button or top tab on any pages in TV Mode Vertical. No "More" or "ALL" button to expand "On Now" section to see all of what is on in TV Mode Horizontal. This option exists in TV Mode Vertical mode and in the other view modes. (this is something I really would use to see a full page of what is on all channels, via thumbnails, but then i have no access to the Guide in those view modes) The "Continue Watching" sections in each library u click into (where u can just click the thumbnail box for the recently played vid) is only present in TV Mode Horizontal. Also, Emby Theater (Desktop software) is not good on high DPI scaled displays (like my 4K laptop) in anything other than TV Mode. The other view modes result in super tiny font and some of the menu options are hidden.

Just wanted to put this out there for you guys, have any of you used the app touchsquid? It's a universal remote app for your android device. Along the same lines as irule. it has a couple of benefits over irule to me and those are: 1. Price (little cheaper) 2. It can use the built in IR blaster of your device along with IP and rs232 control and exteral IR blasters if needed. (irule can't use built in IR) 3. Ease of setup (it can all be done via the device no comptuer needed) granted this gives less customization but if you've ever messed with irule it can be a heck of a setup. 4. The support, the admin has been very responsive responding to my inquiries very quick and even fixed a bug right after i made him aware of it! Now if you're not familiar with how these remotes work think harmony activities, you hit watch tv and it turns your tv on, your receiver on, etc and puts them all on the right inputs etc all with just 1 button push. it remembers the state of your devices when you switch activities and at the end power off. Some other cool features are you can program macros, launch urls, launch other apps ( for example I have a button to launch the MB android app) I have buttons to launch mbc and mbt etc. Basically my harmony 900 is going up for sale and is being replaced by a galaxy tab 3 7.0 and this cool drink holder mount I found on ebay that puts the remote right where i want it on my theater chair. Check it out over at touchsquid.tv I'm pretty impressed and thought I'd share.

Forgive me if this has been asked, but I couldn't find anything directly related with a search. I've got an HTPC set up with MB Server and MBC (I hope to replace MBC with MBT when it is fully fleshed out). I've just purchased a Windows 8 tablet (the deal was too good to pass up). What I would like to know is, is there a way that I can control the HTPC MBC session from the tablet? Basically use it as a remote. If I use a remote desktop application, it usually crashes out of the MBC program. Not to mention that all that graphical information getting sent across the network is pretty slow. Ideally, I would like to be able to swipe around on the tablet and have it play on the HTPC. Is this feature planned? Present now and I'm just not seeing it? Thanks.
