Emby shuts off when I'm not home?

Maybe this is a bug, maybe it's a setting that's causing me problems. I don't know. Hopefully someone can lend me a hand. So - often when I am going to be gone for several hours, I turn the Android TV on for my dog. He stays more calm if I leave the TV running. I've got several playlists that should each take several days to complete, full of reruns, or movies, or what have you. But sometimes, (like today) I come home, and everything is just *off*. I have no idea when it suddenly shut off, or how long he was sitting here agitated and the like - but it does explain why when I checked in on the pet camera while I was in the maternity ward with my son a few hours ago, it looked like he had gone to sulk by the door or something rather than relaxing on the bed like he usually does when the TV is on while I'm out. He may have also howled bothering the neighbors, that's been a thing that happens when I dont run the TV when I'm gone for a while in the past. Hopefully not this time - but in other houses I've had neighbors complain about him howling when I leave him alone without the TV on. I tried to access the android logs per the instructions, but I hit an access denied when I went into Android/data. So I don't have any logs at the moment. If it's a bug and you need the logs to help figure out why it's happening... I dunno. I guess I'll have to get an old laptop hooked up to the TV and set up a network share and use VLC or something for the rest of the week and try to fix it before the next time I need the TV to work when I'm not home I guess. But I would prefer to not have the dog panicking in the house while I'm at the hospital. So if there's a way for me to fix whatever is going on and make it stop happening on my end and you know the cause (like if it's some sort of Netflix style awful-shutdown-timer - but one I can disable) - please let me know how to fix it. Thanks
  2. I installed the emby app on my iphone 11 pro and noticed all movies that I am trying to play stop immediately after hitting play. All of them. Same on the browser. No idea how to troubleshoot this, I tried restarting as well.
  3. Hello, I'm running into an issue where 4k HDR content is buffering on my Nvidia Shield, its all local content so its not taking it from the internet. The only thing i notice different is that some content is "direct playing" and the one that buffers is "Direct Streaming" both types of content appear to be the same, both are MKV. i will be spending most of my day tomorrow to try and figure out what could be causing these issues, so any help would be appreciated. for reference 1080p content plays perfectly with no issues at all. i have attached a couple of logs, but to be honest they don't really mean anything to me. Hoping someone can help. Audio Settings Preventing Playback

I'm getting this issue again where certain movies either won't play or stop after a certain amount of time. Only now everything I own is brand new (My computer is the oldest since I did a complete upgrade of everything in it last July) TV: Roku TV, TCL model 65R625, software version 9.2.2, build 6118-88 Receiver: Dennon model AVRS750H, DTS HD Master/ DTS:X / DTS Neural:X / DTS Virtual:X / Dolby TrueHD / Dolby Atmos / Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization / Dolby Surround / Multichannel Stereo Emby Roku App Beta version 4.0, build 0 Computer: Windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.778 AMD Ryzen 5 3400G processor Gigabyte B450 AORUS M motherboard Realtek® ALC892 codec High Definition Audio 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel Support for S/PDIF Out I'm quite certain that this is an audio issue because when it started happening again, I went back to the original advice given to me of changing the Roku audio setting to anything that didn't say DTS. And it worked, sort of. I was hoping that with all new hardware that this problem wouldn't come up again but it did. When I say "sort of", I mean sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes switching to Dolby Digital gets it to play, and sometimes it doesn't. I haven't checked every title in my library (it's over 700 titles; yes, I know I have a problem) yet, but it seems to be more and more prevalent. Here are some examples of what I did find: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, 4K and Blu Ray, would only play with Roku set to Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus When set to Dolby Digital Plus DTS or Auto Detect it stops before it starts. When set to Dolby Digital DTS it won't even finish Retrieving and causes Emby to completely freeze up Streaming Info: Video codec: HEVC (direct) Audio codec: AC3 (cannot get stats for nerds on any of the DTS settings since they won't even play for a second) Audio channels: 6 Bitrate: 53.35Mb/s Max bitrate: Auto - 110Mb/s Hardware accelerated: No Transcoding progress: 1.84% Transcoding buffer: 1.79% Transcoding speed 11 fps (all the transcoding numbers have been changing as I typed) Transcoding reason: Audio codec not supported Original Media Info: Container: MKV Video Codec: HEVC Video bitrate: 56.35Mb/s Audio codec: TRUEHD Audio bitrate: <???> Audio channels: 8 Galaxy Quest, Blu Ray, plays for 41 seconds then stops on every possible audio setting Streaming Info Video codec: H264 (Direct) Audio codec: AC3 (Direct) Audio channels: 6 Bitrate: 35.08Mb/s Max bitrate: Auto - 110Mb/s Original Media Info: Video codec: H264 Video bitrate: 34.44Mb/s Audio codec: AC3 Audio bitrate: 640Kb/s Audio channels: 6 Adventureland, Blu Ray, only works when set to Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus, otherwise it plays 4 seconds and stops Streaming Info: Video codec: H264 (direct) Audio codec: DTS (direct) when set to Dolby Digital DTS, Dolby Digital Plus DTS, or Auto Detect Audio codec: AC3 when set to Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus Audio channels: 6 Bitrate: 36.36Mb/s Max bitrate: Auto - 110Mb/s Original Media Info: Video codec: H264 Video bitrate: 34.83Mb/s Audio codec: DTS Audio bitrate: 1.536Mb/s Audio channels: 6 So far this issue has only been with movies ripped from Blu Rays and 4K. 5. Hello all, I am quite new to Emby but must see cool program and wish i had discovered that long ago . Anyway i am running latest beta on an Ubuntu (Studio) installation where the media is on an nas (SMB connection) I have a quite large collection of movies and series and when i have only the movies within Emby all works perfect without issues. The fun starts when i add the Tv Series as it add's them starts scanning and seems to work but at the moment i go over the webinterface to the series folder Emby crashes.
