Hello people of Emby! First off, love it! I have an "is it possible" question. I'm using a dedicated Win 7 pc as the server. There are multiple devices around my home and phones etc etc which can stream flawlessly from the server. However, I am using a formuler z box for my iptv. It has been (didn't realize the impact at the time of acquisition) linked to my iptv provider via a mac address rather than user name and password. Therefore, when I try to setup and access the iptv in emby, all I get is a blank stream (using the iptv url). Is it possible to run the formuler box iptv directly thru the emby server somehow, to get the live tv signal to cast to all the other devices? I hope this makes some sense to you.....

hello forum, im running emby premiere version 3.5.3.0 on qnap 453be 8gb ram 2 3tb hdd in raid 1, hardware transcoding enabled ( va api). internet speed 175 down 15 up emby runs great for local clients, remote cilients can take up to 10 seconds before the stream starts then works great. iptv and dvr don't load as smootly , 10 seconds minimum before stream starts sometimes longer but then streams perfectly. what would be the best performance upgrade, i currently can only afford to do one of the following: -buy another hdd and change from raid 1 to raid 5 - buy 250-500gb ssd and add as a cache -buy 250-500gb sdd and install emby on the ssd

Hi, I am trying to add some sample sources to test the IPTV plugin but it does not load any of them. It shows loading or black screen and fater that I cant even go back I have to close the tab and repoen Emby web. Example links: rtsp://mm2.pcslab.com/mm/7h800.mp4 http://sample.vodobox.net/skate_phantom_flex_4k/skate_phantom_flex_4k.m3u8 Testing in other applications work also HTTP stream work directly inside a browser. Hello everyone, I've been trying to add my iptv provider to emby and am getting nowhere. Help! I get it to the point where everything looks like it loaded properly: the guide is there, the channels are there but if I try to click on anything it just hangs. I try to click on the same channel in the native IPTV app from my provider...and it works flawlessly. I love the possibility of emby and bought a premium key...but just can't seem to get it all working. Help!

Hello, I have one problem channel when I try to play it over an Emby Connect connection. It works fine on my LAN. I've tried multiple external connections and no matter how fast, this one channel stutters. I've also try lowering the resolution to the minimum and it makes no diff. I am new to emby so I apologize if this has been discussed. I could not find a post that addresses my question. So far emby is great for organizing my media. What would push me over the top to get a lifetime subscription would be the ability to integrate an IPTV service (such as Set TV) with emby along with the ability to record the live streams to watch later. Is this possible? And if so could you describe your setup. Also, what IPTV service are you guys using and like? This is for a lakehouse where my internet connection is ~10mps download and there is no faster package available. Thank you in advance.

I installed the IPTV plugin and then decided not to set it up just now so I uninstalled it. I now get a Scheduled Task error for Internet Channels that says: Refresh Channels failed. Value does not fall within expected range. Did something not uninstall with the plugin? What do I need to do to fix this?

After the IPTV plugin update, it has stopped working for me. It was working fine yesterday. It doesn't work on any clients, so I assume the issue is at the server level. It take a lot of time and then returns zero results. I have tried restarting the server, uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin and same results. De pouvoir indiquer l'utilisateur (ou les utilisateurs) autorisé à regarder une liste spécifique de chaines TV et pouvoir faire la même chose pour d'autres listes M3u, de sorte que personne ne puisse se "marcher" dessus . Hello community. I have the following problem with my Emby Server, I have loaded an m3u list with IPTV channels, the list works fine as I tried it on VLC without any problem, but when playing the channels via web or using the app for android or windows, the playback stops and then closes on all devices. Do I need to do something extra on the emby server or, what is the problem? I post the logs. Log2.txt Log1.txt

For Video content in media libraries, all available video and audio streams are shown on the page prior to the playback page. Where multiple audio steams are available, it is possible to select the desired audio stream as well as switching between audio streams during playback. For Live TV (eg using HDHomeRun or VU+ plugin) this info is not displayed and audio stream selection is not possible (unless I missed something). Would it be possible to add this feature?

Is there anyway to filter the channels shown? My IPTV provider has a lot of non English channels in the XML TV guide and m3u offering. I'd like to filter out which ones are shown to users.

I downloaded an m3u list thing which contains an example like the following - #EXTINF:-1 tvg-name="001" tvg-id="tv.9" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/matthuisman/iptv/master/nz/images/tv.9.png",TVNZ1 http://iptv.matthuisman.nz/nz/tv.9.m3u8 and modified to the following, adding channel-id - #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="1001" tvg-name="001" tvg-id="tv.9" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/matthuisman/iptv/master/nz/images/tv.9.png",TVNZ1 http://iptv.matthuisman.nz/nz/tv.9.m3u8 I still needed to change the channel name displayed to an actual channel name, so 001 becomes TVNZ 1, so I did that in Emby itself. It shows up as TVNZ 1 fine in the guide but when I refresh the guide it reverts back to 001. This could well be because I don't know what I'm doing, so I'm wondering if there's something I need to remove from the info, such as tvg-name, or should I put tvg-name='TVNZ 1" ? Am wondering if I change it would I bugger up the channel mapping ? I could just try it but thought it might help to ask first plus it might be useful to record it here.

Hello Emby Community! Does anybody have suggestions for a good IPTV provider for US channels with a good XMLTV EPG? I've tried a few, and the streaming quality is good and stable, but I find the provided EPG wanting. Are there any providers out there that work really well with Emby and will give more than 1 day of guide data at a time? Any suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks, Jason

So I've spent time reading through everything on the forum about IPTV and M3U tuners. Is there any reason why we can't treat each M3U tuner as only being able to tune 1 channel from the channel xml list or have that as a user defined setting? From the reading it seems like the M3U tuner is considered to be "unlimited" streams by default. If limited to 1 stream you could create as many m3u tuners for a source as available connections. Emby would also be able to mark them available or watching as they are used Example screenshot of how my tuners would be created if this was the case: two hdhomeruns - 4x tuners 6 m3u tuners for iptv provider 1 - provider allows 6 concurrent connections 2 m3u tuners for iptv provider 2 - provider also allows you to pay for 6, paying for 2 As they are used, they get set to watching. When all are used it acts just like hdhomeruns and errors out when that source is out of connections. I assumed this was how it would work by default based on how physical tuners worked. Another option would be allowing us to specify how many connections per m3u source and building that number of virtual tuners for that source. Probably a cleaner way to do it.

Hello, I've started using IPTV recently and I'm experiencing some strange behaviour with recording live TV. I set a channel to record this mornings (yes - its Judge Judy - no commentary please). I see the recording in the proper folder, but it is only recording the first ~20 seconds. The same thing happened with a channel I recorded last night, but then it did work for a later rerun of the same channel. IPTV / M3U recording seems to be GREAT! So far. Installation is pretty straight forward. Adding the guide is pretty simple as well. What I am having problems is not really the recording. But i am having problems on the naming of the video. It shows the title of the of the recording great. But its not adding the episode or season or even the original air date. this is what I am getting for the current naming " Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs_20170912_14051430 " I am not sure sure the of the whole naming then the first part is the current recorded date. I am sure that it may have something to do with the XML guide. And i have tried using what is given and tried using zap2it for guide as well. Anything else you can recommend that works with what i am looking for? Thanks

I'm having problems with IPTV I have tested 3 paid Iptv lists from different companies and after a few minutes watching the channel, it stops. I noticed that playback is stopped after the progress bar comes to an end. I think the player is not storing enough data so he can be seen without interruption. Check this, because I want to make iptv available to my clients, but this problem must be solved first. I'm using google chrome, I've attached the server log. Anyone know of a website that has a good working list of IPTV channels that I can use with the IPTV plugin. Especially would like UK channels

I would like to watch a local TV station called Northbay TV that is too far away for my antenna to pull in. If you go to their web page, it looks like they are making a concerted effort to offer their programming over the internet. I am not at all familiar with making IPTV available within the Emby client/server environment. Can anybody point me in the right direction to set this up? Further, is Northbay TV making their programming available in the "standard" format to include in Emby server. My understanding is an IPTV "plugin" is no longer required, are instructions posted somewhere as to how to set this up? I see they offer the usual apps for IOS and Android, but I would much prefer integration into Emby. I see they have an "over the air" link to click on the web page, perhaps I need to connect Emby to this URL somehow? Thanks, Lifespeed

I am having problems with the iptv audio using Ember's native application. It happens that when watching some channels of any platform by google chrome the audio gets robotized. In order to test and see if the channel was in trouble, I also watched Kodi and all the channels that had problems with the emby, they have the perfect audio in the kodi. I'm waiting and once again thank you very much. Estou com problemas no audio do iptv usando a aplicação nativa do Ember. Acontece que ao assistir alguns canais de qualquer plataforma pelo google chrome o audio fica robotizado. Para poder testar e ver se o canal estava com problemas assisti tambem no Kodi e todos os canais que estavam com problemas no emby, estão com o audio perfeito no kodi. Does m3u lists really work on Emby Server? I would like to test but I did not even understand which plugin I should use. My pretense is that web clients can access the tv channels from my m3u list. If there is already a topic that discusses this subject, I would like to know, because I did not find it here in the forum.

all I'm not able to play a live stream in emby via the IPTV plugin. The HTTP url ends in :8080/ looks like it's trying to play a .aspf file. I just get a black screen... Works fine in VLC Used to work in Emby - not sure if its changed to .aspf recently. Also used to work in firefox. Any tips? would really like this working in Emby! Let me know if you need logs etc. Cheers
