Hi I have downloaded some video game Gameplay Walkthroughs in mp4 on my pc. i want emby to organise them just like movies. can you tell me how do i do it? i have downloaded game browser plugin but it seems to work only for actual games

Hi, I had this same problem after updating PS4 to Software ver. 4.5 and now is back again after update to software ver 6.71. (The old thred: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/46562-ps4-no-subtitles/) After updating everything works great but no subtitles (external srt) are displayed. I have tried to turn them on and off with no luck. I have tried many movies that used to work fine. I have: PS4-568 Software ver. 6.71 Emby server Version 3.5.3.0 Ubuntu linux 16.04.2 Thank you Emby Team!!! 8-)

Emby is my favor I mean the best family movie collector and player for me ,so I am using it since 2 years ago. But one of the updates after I'm encounting a weird problem: When Ive watching 21:9 movie it was stretching in fullscreen... Everything seems getting a bit tall (mean X size abit small and Y size abit higher) It situation only show up in 21:9 movies ...but others normally. I don't know how to reset it I'm tried to set my TV monitor and some output parmaters in PS4 but nothing helps. I think it was worked perfect months ago and I have no touched anything for settings. so I'm here to getting some helps !!! These things I can confirmed in following list: 1) My emby server fine 2) Andorid TV app / Android app / PC chrome All working fine without any problem. Plz ,some one or devs help me!!! thanks!

We have 3x PS4s in the house and I want each one to map to a different user in Emby when connecting via DLNA. I created 3x profiles copied from the PS4 profile, and amended them based on the Friendly Name (the names the consoles use on the network) but all three still map to the first profile. Using the debug logs I have been able to get the three different device IDs but no matter which of the identification criteria I put it in, it doesn't seem to work. I also tried adding an entry under HTTP Headers but couldn't get anything to work there, either. Any thoughts on how I get this to work?

Hi, I tried googling for an answer but i could not find one specific enough and this is also the kind of answer that might change over time. So i want a current answer before i go shopping. I want to make the move to Emby with a premiere subscription. I've tested it for six months++ with and without premiere and the list of reasons why i prefer Emby just keeps growing. But i have some close friends and family making use of my current plex server on xbox and ps4. As i understood it most of the apps require a premiere sub, Yet i can use the LG tv app without a subscription. So i have the following questions: - Do my friends need a premiere subscription to stream to xbox/ps4? When streaming from my server. - Same question for smart tv apps? - And lets assume i convinced them to replace their own plex servers with Emby but they are to cheap to pay for it. Can they use the apps for smart tvs and xbox/ps4? I'm not interested in roku sticks and such. But others might appreciate and answer for that as well. Bonus question: Recommended block size for Emby dataset? Ty for making a great product and for giving me much more control and customistation for my library then anyone else. This is especially great for someone who is multi linguistic.

Hi, I've been attempting to get a friend online through the PS4, it works for me but of course, I am within my own network. For him, it connects on mobile but the PS4 version refuses to connect when using the manual option with the external IP. The same method is as stated being used on an iPhone by him through the chrome browser. I will add that I do have a premium account so I see no reason that it should not be working.

I have subscribed to Apple Music and also wanna play it on my PS4, but I haven't found a way to get to work. Any way to play Apple Music on PS4?

Hi, I am trying to watch movies on PS4, everything works great but no subtitles (external srt) are displayed. I have tried to turn them on and off with no luck. Hello, When I am using EMBY through PS4 web browser and for some reason the subtitles aren't displaying at all. In the settings I have them always on/forced and enabled by default. I am using Greek subs with no other issue when I am watching through the Samsung TV app or through my iPhone (Same user profile of course) but through PS4, subtitles do not show at all. It's a shame as I really love the PS4 interface. Something to be fixed possibly on another release? Thanks in advance, George

I just wanted to mention that access to emby connect and emby theater is very good fom the PS4 web browser. I haven't heard anyone talk about this (unless I missed it) but I thought it was worthy of mentioning. Also I didn't notice it mentioned on the web site that you can access your server via PS4 web browser.

Greetings Emby community. I may just be missing something very simple, but when I open Emby on my PS4 to play music from my media PC, the tracks for each album are listed alphabetically, not in the correct order on the album. Anyone know how to have albums show up in the correct order? All tracks in their folders on my PC are numbered (01 Xsongtitle, 02 Xsongtitle, etc). I'm sure its a simple thing, but I can't seem to find a setting to change this. Or is the PS4 music player just that dumb?

Is it possible to have official PS4 and Xbox apps?

Not sure if anyone will know an answer to this. I have a folder that has many films in it. When I view these movies on the PS4 or PS3 many of them show up in the movies folder with a poster to identify them. Others show up in another sub folder, and if I click in those, then I see the poster. Problem is, alphabetically, the folders show up first, throwing off the order. Any idea why some movies are put in a subfolder? They are not in subfolders on the hard drive. Could it be because some are a different file format? When I view titles on the Roku, this isn't a problem, only on DNLA. Thanks in advance!

Hi. New to the forum. Been using Emby for a while now. Noticed something on PS4 media player yesterday which is bugging me and I can't find the solution for here or on Google. In grid view some movies have poster art and some have a plain folder. Poster art movies start up with the movie when clicked. The plain folder movies have the movie and a cast and crew folder inside. I can't figure out why there is a difference and how to get all movies to only display the poster and have immediate start up when clicked. Any ideas? Also would be good to have a poster for the TV folders as well. Not sure how to get the PS4 to display different pics for folders. Any help on this one?

Have an external family member trying to use the PS4 web browser which appears to be working pretty well except for one thing. When trying to maximize the video playback it doesn't appear to do anything and leaves the url bar showing in the web browser. Using other video websites on the device such as youtube allows the device to full screen correctly and removes the url bar. Not sure if there is any developers or other testers out there with a PS4 that could test this as I don't have this device directly in front of me that's about all the feedback I can report.
