  2. Hello, For a while now whenever I go to watch something through emby after about 20-25 minutes the session either crashes or is forcefully closed somehow and I am not seeing the reasoning in the logs. I attached a log file to show the behavior I am seeing. Essentially no matter what file I am watching (in this case a TV episode) it will crash or close out after that rough time period. Once I re-open the video or movie and start playback again I won't have any issues at all with the movie or tv show, no matter how long I watch after. I am not sure if this is a plug in issue, but I have removed a ton of plugins to see if that was the cause but so far the issue still persists. I usually am casting through my android phone through the app (Pixel 4A with Android 12 Beta). I have emby running in a docker container (5:20.10.8~3-0~debian-buster) on OpenMediaVault (5.6.14-1) (Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-0.bpo.8-amd64). I have not been able to pinpoint exactly what causes the issue to re-occur as sometimes its overnight, sometimes its a week later. I attached the log from emby, but cannot find any log that might be stored on my phone as well to upload that. Also, I should mention that I saw others having bitrate issues and that was the root cause. I am not 100% sure how to do this in the android emby app, but I have gigabit wired ethernet running to both the chromecast as well as the server running emby, so while it may still be an issue of speed, I would highly doubt that. Log line issue occurred on: [2021-09-06 16:17:26.698 Info SessionManager: Playback stopped reported by app Emby for Chromecast 2.1.0 playing Forgetting Sarick Mortshall. Stopped at 1336684 ms] I know there are some errors in there for the coverart plugin but I know those are centered around HVEC codec and is a known issue that hasn't affected anyones playback that I can find. I also have lifetime emby premier but am seeing a warning in regards to a license, not sure what that's about either. 2021-09-06 15:52:27.982 Error Server: Access token is invalid or expired. Docker on OMV 3 - Library Access

    Hi I could do with some help on this as I'm confused. Installed Open Media Vault version 3 on my NAS, then installed the docker plugin and downloaded the Emby image and set up some shares to the media library. Emby starts fine, can scrap the media and the UI is super responsive however it won't play anything - tried via the web app / dlna and xbox one app - which is confusing as I've had all the working before and I believe I've set things up the same way and everything worked fine. Attached the docker and server logs. The server is using MergeFS with all libraries owned by root / user and set to 777, Docker is in Host mode with the /config folder sitting on a SSD again controlled by a OMV Share. I'm controlling the docker image via the OMV plugin UI Not sure what i'm missing. Hope some can shed some light on what I'm doing / have done wrong. Kentish DockerLog.txt EmbyServerLog.txt

    Medien können nicht abgespielt werden

    Hallo zusammen, ich komme leider nicht weiter. Ich kann keine Medien aus der emby Weboberfläche abspielen. Die Bibliotheken wurden erzeugt und werden mit allen möglichen Informationen angezeigt, jedoch bei dem Versuch etwas ab zu spielen, passiert nix, es dreht sich nur ein Kreis. Es kommt auch keine Fehlermeldung einzig der drehende Kreis ist zu sehen. Hat jemand ein Tipp woran das liegen könnte? Was komisch ist, es sollte doch eigentlich der Prozess ffmpeg starten. Das Programm habe ich über apt-get installiert. Hier noch der Inhalt der wichtigsten Verzeichnisse. (vielleicht hilft das) Vielen Dank vorab root@juliusnas:~# ls -la /media/ee992f3b-f191-4b1a-86e0-47f848a000b6/emby insgesamt 44 drwxr-xr-x 11 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 20:22 . drwxr-xr-x 13 root root 4096 Okt 25 19:32 .. drwxr-xr-x 13 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 21:31 cache drwxr-xr-x 4 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 21:55 config drwxr-xr-x 7 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 22:12 data lrwxrwxrwx 1 emby nogroup 21 Okt 25 19:32 ffmpeg -> /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg drwxr-xr-x 2 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 19:04 localization drwxr-xr-x 2 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 21:56 logs drwxr-xr-x 5 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 20:34 metadata drwxr-xr-x 3 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 19:04 root drwxr-xr-x 2 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 19:04 ssl drwxr-xr-x 2 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 20:22 transcoding-temp root@juliusnas:~# ls -la /usr/local/bin insgesamt 5232 drwxrwsr-x 3 root staff 4096 Okt 25 19:32 . drwxrwsr-x 10 root staff 4096 Jun 5 19:51 .. -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 61030 Feb 9 2015 autoshutdown.sh -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 635016 Feb 29 2016 disk2n -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 8837 Feb 29 2016 factory_reset drwxr-sr-x 3 emby nogroup 4096 Okt 25 19:04 ffmpeg -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 725256 Feb 29 2016 n2disk lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Feb 29 2016 n2disk10g -> n2disk10gdna -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 741640 Feb 29 2016 n2disk10gdna -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 737544 Feb 29 2016 n2disk10gzc -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 725256 Feb 29 2016 n2disk1g -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 733576 Feb 29 2016 n2disknt -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 30928 Feb 29 2016 npcapdecompress -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 129536 Feb 29 2016 npcapextract -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 589864 Feb 29 2016 npcapindex -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 18536 Feb 29 2016 npcapprintindex -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 159408 Feb 29 2016 nprobe lrwxrwxrwx 1 root staff 15 Mär 4 2016 ntopng -> /usr/bin/ntopng -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 10304 Feb 29 2016 nttool System: openmediavault version 2.2.12 Kernel Linux 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 ffmpeg installiert openmediavault-emby 2.7
  6. i have been using emby since the begining of this year when I had deployed on a custom NAS that runs OpenMediaVault. In general it rusn wells and even choose to become a supporter. However today when I decided to update OMV and as a consequency Emby was also updated to version 3.0.5972.0 it failed hard. There is no way that I can play any of the stored content. Playback through DLNA from my TV (Panasonic with Firefox OS) has become completely unpredictable, it may start playing a file and some point it will skip big portions of the file or jump to the next in queue. Playback through DLNA from Kodi is not working at all. Although it enumerates all the available content, when you start playing a file it pops-up an error. Playback throuhg Firefox 43 on my pc, does not work at all. It looks like someone pressed pause after it started but pushing playback nothing changes. Some other times it pops: "Video Error There was an error playing the video. Using Chromium there is slightly different behaviour where it starts playing a bit and then pops the infamous "Video Error" message. I searched on the logs and I see that transcoding seems to work with ~10x speed and the intermediate file is created. However when I downloaded the temp file at my pc and tried to open with VLC it played only the 6 first minutes with only sound and then stalled for ever. On the server logs I can only find things like: 2016-06-19 01:46:55.1926 Error App: Error streaming media. The client has most likely disconnected or transcoding has failed. I am seeking for any kind of help as the downgrade is not an option for me. server.txt transcode-b2723a4d-c437-45c3-9467-a0e40093e63f.txt

    Playback issue since upgrade

    Hi Been using Emby for a while now with out any problems or issues - which is nice! So this is my first post. Want to say that it's a cracking bit of software which really works for our family - a few kids, a few device and less arguments!! Running Emby on OpenMediaVault NAS and upgraded through the web ui after shutdown the service first. Current version server is 3.0.5985.0 OpenMediaVault version: 2.2.5 Stone Burner Also run a system upgrade at the same time and I believe this updated Mono to 4.4.1.0. After the playback issues presented I backup the installation using the Backup plugin then uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. Attached both Server and Transcode Log as ZIP files. Tested video playback on Web UI, Samsung TV (2015 model) via DLNA, Samsung Tablet via App and playback is smooth for 15 seconds and then jumps or the image gets corrupted then freeze. I have SAMBA providing path substitution on the single library that been added, I can access and play media from it with no issues - used VLC Music file seems unaffected Hope that's enough information and sorry if I posted in the wrong bit of the forum. Thanks Kentish Log - Transcode.zip Log.zip
  8. Hi there Tl;dr: OpenSubtitleDownloader downloads the subtitles anyway, even though there are no permissions to write them to the filesystem. I found a potential misbehavior of the OpenSubtitleDownloader worker. The case is the following: - repeatedly got notifications about failed subtitle downloads - day after day the same, though there were not many new subtitles to download - thought I got an IP ban (my ISP barely changes IPs because of VDSL, no way to easily renew it but call the hotline...) - e-mailed the admin of opensubtitles.org, asking to lift the ban - turns out there is no ban, but instead I find that my account downloaded more than 22000 subtitles although there way less than 1000 unique titles on my server (hence very few subtitles actually needed) So I started digging a bit deeper and found the following: - First, there are many reports because of "Access to the path ... is denied. System.Unauthorized.AccessException". (There are exactly 200 of those log entries every day, which matches the daily limit by opensubtitles.org.) - After those messages, numberless other entries exist because of "OpenSubtitles rate limit reached, System.ApplicationException". I found the problem being wrong ownership/permission of the folders (my mistake / samba problem, should have known that sooner). My guess is that the OpenSubtitleDownloader downloads the subtitles anyway, even though there are no permissions to write them to the filesystem. This kind of behavior could be fixed, if the permissions were checked first and download initiated later on. It would sure lower the traffic for all parties. Also could help debugging for fellow users, as the download limit is not the actual problem. So, maybe this could be adjusted in the next release? --- Example log entries:
  9. When logging into Emby (I use Openmediavault) i cannot change a tv series primary image. Help? What additional info do you need?
  10. Here's my setup: MBS is running as a service on my HTPC. I recently built a NAS and added it to my network. I want to store some TV shows on the NAS and have them play in MediaBrowser Theater. The NAS is running OpenMediaVault 1.0 kralizec. On one hard drive on the NAS, I created a folder called "TV." When I open up the MediaBrowser configuration tool, and start to create a new library, it finds my NAS on the network, but when I try to go to my TV directory, there fields do not populate. The only option is the "go up one level" dots (..). Is there something I need to do on my NAS to make MediaBrowser Server see the shared folder?
