  1. First, I use emby for years so thank you for emby The clients were always very simple and thin (and "local") which I appreciate but a bit too thin for my needs which kept me always jump between clients/servers. One thing that would made a world of difference for me, would be client's menu integration with an external library management service (personally I use trakt but trying to stay generic). Similar to kodi"s trakt's plugin but just it's user facing side (context aware's menu options) From the client menu be able to: 1. Add/remove the item to/from a list. 2. Add/remove the item from watchlist/collection. 3. Set rating on a item (maybe even configure to ask for rating if watched more than X% of the item). (My main client is the android TV app but I guess it's a FF for all clients).
  2. Hi, I want to warn you that the last stable version of the client for Android TV 2.0.83g was released by you in October 2022, a stable version that became obsolete almost immediately because it contained a very old and obsolete version of ExoPlayer as an internal player due to the inconvenience with many files containing DV - HDR10. Then just on January 26, 2023 they released an unstable Beta version 2.0.87g with the solution in the reproduction of many files that contain DV - HDR10 with the change of the internal ExoPlayer version. But since January 26, 2023 you abandoned the development of new stable versions of the client for Android TV with the latest unstable version 2.0.87g. I also want to warn you that the unstable version 2.0.87g has some problems, sometimes when watching several episodes of series one episode after another in a row, sometimes randomly when an episode ends and jumps to the next episode by mistake instead of starting from it. beginning at minute zero, erroneously starts playing in the middle of the episode, or near the end of the episode, when this error happens there is also a small popup legend of a few seconds, from the client for Android TV 2.0.87g that reports that various errors has happened, with the reproduction of movies the same error occurs much less frequently. Most likely you will tell me that instead of using the client for Android TV, that I use the other client for Android smartphones and tablets, but at this moment I have two drawbacks to use the client for smartphones and tablets, the first The problem is that the client Android 3.3.07 and earlier versions produces jumps and jerks in the images when the subtitles appear on the TV screen, with any subtitle format, be it SRT or PGS, just at the moment they appear on the screen. they produce jumps and jerks. The second problem is that the client for smartphones and tablets is for exclusive use with a PREMIERE subscription, and unfortunately, due to the tightening of the block and restrictions on transactions with foreign money imposed by the Argentine government, it is completely impossible to use dollars to buy a subscription PREMIERE. For these reasons, I need you guys to continue to release stable, bug-free versions of the client for Android TV. ¿For everything I have explained to you, I ask if you continue to develop new 100% stable versions without any playback errors in the client for Android TV?

    Emby low audio

Hey all, New to Emby, having a minor bug. Audio when streamed to clients, have been using Kodi 16.01 (tested on 2 devices)(Kodi Emby plugin installed), Chromecast 1st Gen (FW ver. 1.20.66189), and a Samsung Smart TV Series 6 (DLNA), all have very low audio. I would say roughly half volume compared to when they are played via a shared network drive or via direct hard drive connect. (not using Emby). Emby server version 3.0.6400.0 running on MS Windows 10 build 10.0.14393 any help would be greatly appreciated Regards Jayden

    ideal machine for various clients

hello am a big fan of MB3 and have an ISP the internet with about 100 clients and I want to introduce the MBC in my network that I will need to achieve this my goal.
  5. Emby's device management is a little lacking in my opinion and could benefit from a few additional options that would make it more useful: Under the devices panel the ability to actually specify what is a shared device or not would be awesome. Currently you cannot specify which devices are considered shared or not (DLNA is shared others are not..) This means that if you had a dedicated HTPC running Emby Theater (or any client really) you couldn't make it a shared device. Under the user options there are currently two options "Control other users" and "control shared devices" I would like to see a third option added "Control only devices from local network": This option would only allow the user to control devices that are in the same network as they are. Currently the server knows when a device is in the same network as it as it uses this for the "local pin" function. So anything that qualifies for the local pin would be considered to be in the same network. On the flip side any remote devices would be considered to be in the same network if they had the same IP since requests coming from over the internet would all appear to come from that network's router. Its not really often that you need to control a device that you aren't on the same network. To make control of devices in my local network more straight forward both my girlfriend and I have the "control other users" and "Control shared devices" enabled however this means that we both can always see all the devices of our friends who are connected (which often includes an array of browsers all named identically) we keep both options on though since its annoying to not be able to change the video from one device or another because the other one is already controlling it. As an example: my girlfriend starts queues a bunch of TV shows [play all from here] then walks away turning the TV off since she changed her mind then I show up and want to watch something else but there is currently content playing already playing so I either would need to wait for it to finish hit stop on the remote over and over until I got to the end of the playlist that she had queued up to free the device up for my account to control.
  6. Was wondering if there is any chance of being able to hide specific libraries from specific clients. Currently I see we can hide libraries from specific users but I'm more after not having games, books, comics, music show up in my MBC setup or whatever client you want to avoid showing this content in.
