First, I use emby for years so thank you for emby The clients were always very simple and thin (and "local") which I appreciate but a bit too thin for my needs which kept me always jump between clients/servers. One thing that would made a world of difference for me, would be client's menu integration with an external library management service (personally I use trakt but trying to stay generic). Similar to kodi"s trakt's plugin but just it's user facing side (context aware's menu options) From the client menu be able to: 1. Add/remove the item to/from a list. 2. Add/remove the item from watchlist/collection. 3. Set rating on a item (maybe even configure to ask for rating if watched more than X% of the item). (My main client is the android TV app but I guess it's a FF for all clients).

Look I understand there are more important things to worry about for awhile and this sort of thing isn't super important. And It's not like I can't use the actual apps either but it sure would be nice to if you guys could work out a deal with apple and/or spotify to integrate. I 'll bet the Plex users who hate that dumb music service they added would love to see this as it has been requested multiple times. Of course Plex is probably being paid to add it. I personally will never use anything other than spotify or youtube to listen to my music, not some site I had never heard about previous to it landing on Plex.

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to implement a new feature for Emby server to use existing system users for authentication to the server (similar idea to a RADIUS server). For example I am a Synology user and it would be much neater if I can control the user access to Emby from the Synology control panel (for example based on who has access to the Emby app, if the user is active etc.). Access to individual libraries can be determined if a user has access to a given folder or maybe even keep the current server configuration, but be able to assign default libraries visible for all users of a given user group or something like that. Basically have the same functionality as the Synology Video Station app. Why is this feature needed: Currently when I am adding a new user to the system I need to manually go into the Emby server settings and create a user with the same name, give him access to specific libraries and so on. It would be much easier if i can just create a user of a given user group and that user is automatically added to the Emby users and has access to specific Emby libraries.

I'm new to the forum and would like to make a suggestion of something. I don't know if it is feasible or not to be developed, but I believe it could be useful. I know there have been previous topics requesting integration with these services, but what I would like is something a little different. I would like to be able to display the netflix library, for example, inside my emby. However, when playing the media, you will be redirected to the official application / website of the service. Similar to www.justwatch.com https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justwatch.justwatch

I have about 40,000 songs within Google Play Music and wish I could organize them. It would be very interesting to do this without having to download these songs. Would it be possible to integrate so that Emby would update the google music metadata? Also, it would be very interesting to be able to play these songs directly on Emby without having to download them as they consume a lot of space on the HD. You should think of more such integrations without having to have the files on the hard drive. This would work very well with videos, IPTV, etc ... Hi Thinking about starting to use Emby Server. How does the Live TV side of things work? Do you need Windows Media Center? I am currently using Kodi and DVBLink on the back-end. (DVB-T2 UK Freeview). Thanks

So, da wir hier nun auch ein deutsches Subforum haben, hoffe ich mal das sich auch einige User einfinden werden. Auf xbmcnerds.com habe ich auf jeden Fall schon einmal eingeladen Wie ihr vielleicht bereits aus anderen Posts von mir entnommen habt, bin ich bereits langjähriger Nutzer von XBMC. Deswegen interessiert mich natürlich vor allem die Kombination aus XBMC und MediaBrowser und wollte einfach mal fragen wie ihr das bei euch gelöst habt? Was sind hier die Möglichkeiten und besten Einstellungen (nach eurer Meinung)? Beste Grüße und schonmal vielen Dank für euer Feedback

Hi all, my Name is Simon and I'm a user of XBMC for years now. Also I'm a very active Member at http://www.xbmcnerds.com/ . That's the biggest german XBMC Community out there ;-) I and some other xbmcnerds Member started recently a Thread to the (for us) new Topic of MediaBrowser in combination with XBMC.
