Titan skin

I am just starting to get everything set up for Kodi/Emby combination.

 

Love this skin, but I have run into an issue.

 

I have multiple users (Me, wife, teen kid, & little kids).  When I switch back and forth, the settings won't hold.

 

This is a full stop bug for me.  :/

 

What can I do to resolve it?

Hi Marcel, I have noticed in the last few weeks or so, the option to disable Titan splash have been removed, therefore each time I restart my box I get  four splashes (too many for my likeness) including Titan, could you kindly reinstate this option in the skin settings.

There is a setting you can "create" in Kodi. I believe it's called advancedsettings.xml. It will disable all splash screens though, not just certain ones. You can find the information in the Kodi Wiki.

I think you're referring to below code, this is to disable default Kodi, not for titan skin splash.

Marcel knows exactly what I am pointing to, the option to disable Titan splash has always been in the general setting, but recently it was removed.

This is what I am requesting that it should be brought back, hope this make sense.

In fact the complete splash screen is removed from the skin as it was no longer needed but I just noticed that there was a leftover splash appearing. This will be fixed in tonight's new beta

Can the title be removed from pictures that appear in the slideshow but not from the shortcut on the home screen?

By default, in current builds Titan BETA is hidden.  If I turn off "Hide Incompatible" it shows up in the list on the repo.  It still won't install though as it gives the "Dependencies not met".

 

Before this point, it's been working just fine.

 

Any plans for Jarvis compatibility in Titan?

Did something happen to the beta repo? I just loaded up OpenElec on a new raspberry pi 2 to play with and I do not see Titan in the repo. Emby loaded but no Titan. I checked one of my Windows boxes and Titan Beta isn't listed there either. I tried turning off "hide incompatible" and still no go.

Yea, I'm seeing the same thing.  Looked at the repo's manifest - addons.xml - and don't see any of the titan versions listed.  Repo probably needs a refresh.

The repo issues should now be fixed. Available on the repo:

 

Titan 3.4.18 --> Helix version of the skin

Titan 3.5.45 --> Isengard version of the skin

Titan 3.6.0 --> Jarvis version of the skin

Closer, but not quite there

 

When trying to install the Jarvis version, get install failed.  Log says it's trying to download:

Go ahead and put that in your browser - you'll get a 404 (or at least that's what I'm seeing)

 

If you look here http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/skin.titan.jarvisbeta/ you'll notice that the file is actually named skin.titan.jarvisbeta.zip - not skin.titan.jarvisbeta-3.6.0.zip

 

 

If I look at the other titan skin versions like this:  http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/skin.titan.beta/ - I see that the zip file name includes the version like it expects - skin.titan-3.5.45.zip

If I just download the .zip and then install from that .zip, it installs fine BTW.

On a different note - when we get this working, should it be OK to do a settings restore from the 3.5 series into this 3.6 for Jarvis, or is that just asking for trouble?

I did the re-upload, is it now working ?

 

Hmmm, in theory you should be able to import your 3.5 backup into 3.6 but I didn't test that. The backup/restore is designed to transfer your settings between stable/beta so it should also cover the skin.titan.jarvisbeta ID.
