The stable version of the skin is available in the official Kodi repo --> in Kodi just go to add-ons --> skins and install. BETA-versions I provide beta versions of the skin on a regular base, these beta versions are hosted on the Emby Kodi repo. Allthough extended testing is applied to all of my releases, the beta version might contain a small issue because it has the latest set of features. Please remember (!!) that the beta version of the skin is a seperate addon which you can install. You can have both the beta and stable version installed on your system, keep that in mind (actually switch to the beta). The skin has a very active community on the Kodi forums. I am trying to use XBMB3C for the first time. Here is where I am in the process: I want to use xperience 1080II, so I decided to install Gotham I installed XBMC 13.2 “Gotham” I installed the repository file repository.xbmb3c-1.0.2 When I go to the XBMB3C Addons, there is nothing listed? I can see the addon under XBMC.org Add-ons (version 0.9.7) I install version 0.9.7 and input my server information I get an error message "XBMB3C Service is Not Running - Please Restart XBMC" After I restart, I then get an error "URL error: Unable to Connect to Server" If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it I have double checked and all the information I entered for my server is correct I am currently running the iPhone and iPad app with no issues I have set-up a static IP address and port forwarding

hi all I installed mb3 and xbmb3c, great that there is linux support now for this awesome piece of software. I was wondering though I have an extensive media library in xbmc or I should say better in mysql, which i use for several xbmc clients. the mysql library I filled using the xbmc scrappers, it is not the smallest library as the data is larger then 30TB. With one xbmc client, I use mb3 and xbmb3c to access my files via the mb3/xbmb3c server (http share) but I would like it to use the mysql library (so I don't have to scrap via mb3) but how to enable that? thank you in advance!

Since I just did a clean install of an Openelec box with XBMB3C I figured I'd write a quick guide for new users interested in testing out XBMB3C and MBS. It's meant to be a no fluff, quick and dirty guide. Maybe I'll come back through and add pretty pictures for the illiterate later, but it's not a priority for me at the moment. Install Openelec and boot into XBMC Download the XBMB3C Repo and upload it to the downloads directory of your Openelec box In XBMC go to Addons, Choose 'Install from ZIP file', browse to the repo zip you just uploaded to your downloads directory, install it Go to Addons, Choose get more add ons, select the XBMB3C repo you installed, go to Video Addons, Choose 'XBMB3C', choose 'Install' Go to Addons, Choose get more add ons, select the XBMB3C repo you installed, go to Skins, Choose a skin you like (I recommend Aeon Nox Gotham), choose 'Install' Go to Programs, then XBMB3C, Press 'C' and choose Addon Settings, enter in your MBS information and tweak the settings how you like or leave most defaults Go to System, Appearance, at the bottom change settings level to 'Advanced' Go to 'Mode' section of Appearance settings, enable Media Browser modes Enjoy.

Hello guys, I just received my RasPi2 and installed OpenELEC 5.0.5 / kodi 14 Helix + Add-ons mediabrowser (via stable repo found here : http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/7194-kodi-repo/ ) My MB3 server is installed on a server outside my network, I'm playing movies correclty since i use "Play HTTP instead of SMB". I just have one problem : I can't load the subtitles from MB3 server (they are stored on the server in the movie directory, various language are present as we are sharing the server) I've tried to install subtitles addons (podnapisi & opensubtitles) and register with an account on it : "no subtitles found" each time I try. Did I miss something in MB3 server config ? I've read about path substitution, as I understood I should configure it on MB3 server (running on Ubuntu) but as I'm playing over HTTP I did get how to configure this substutition. I also have a question about it, if I add path substutition will it affect other users (MB3 is our back end, and we are various front end users (via android app, web browser, samsung SmartTV app, kodi)? I'd appreciate any help on this. Please let me know if you need more details and/or logs of any kind. Hello, I know the XBMB3C addon hasn't been developed fully for music, and I don't usually use it for music either. But I recently tried the Aeon MQ5 skin and really liked it. Unlike a couple other skins, there is no option to use the local XBMC library for music, so I decided to try out the addon for music. Is there a setting somewhere to sort individual albums so the songs are ordered by track number? I clicked "sort by" but there wasn't an option there. Could this be easily added? All I want is the ability to click on an album and have the songs appear in the usual order as on the CD. Thanks.

Having rebuilt an Acer Revo with Openelec, I thought I'd give Kodi a go on my main HTPC with the XBMB3C addon. Because I wasn't paying huge amounts of attention, I thought that after typing in the server address and port that the Username was a network user so left it blank rather than "UserName: Your MB3 username". When Kodi is started now, all I get is an error from XBMB3C that the username is blank and that dialog can't be got rid of as it just keeps re-appearing. I'll get round it tomorrow but I think the install / config process shouldn't allow this to happen in the first place.

I just recently started playing with the channels. I have been using XBMC for years, but as I have been moving to XBMB3C, I thought that I would experiment with using MB3's TWIT and Revision 3 channels instead of the XBMC/Kodi add-ons. As I experimented, I noticed that the video playback was listed in XBMB3C as transcoding. Quick check of my server confirmed it. Thinking it might be an XBMB3C thing, I switched over to MB Theater and discovered the same thing: all channels video is being transcoded. I can't speak to the video in all of the channels, but I know that the Revision 3 feeds are all mp4, so how why would it need to be transcoded for XBMB3C? Is there a way to force direct play for channels, or do I need to make a profile for XBMC, or is transcoding just the way it has to be? Thanks for any help or feedback anyone can offer.

Hello, I could be mistaken but it appears to me as if the addon is requesting the data from MBS everytime the user asks for something. I drew that conclusion base on the fact that everytime I click on let's say "movies", xbmb3c says loading. If that is really the case, can the retrieved the data be cache instead to speed up the process and the user can specify in sec/min/hr how often they want to update it. 0 for disabled.

Is there anyway you could include support for notifications, either through a plugin or nativly, for XBMC's native JSON interface? It would be great to be notified when new shows are added right on my XBMB3C machine.

Hello, I've been using the XBMB3C addon with Gotham builds on multiple devices and really love it!!! So first of all, thank you so much for all the hard work in making this work so well. I've heard that many users of the Amazon FireTV get better performance from using the SPMC fork of XBMC from XBMC team member Koying. This is the build that is available on the Amazon and Google Play app stores. I was just curious if anyone was running the XBMB3C addon with SPMC or if any of the contributors to this addon had ever done any testing of the addon with SPMC? Thanks.

First off, thank you to everyone who has worked on the XBMB3C plug-in and the assorted skins. I've been following the project since the beginning and am currently using the plug-in on two Windows 7 machines and an Android phone with the Confluence MB skin. I've been very happy with this setup and impressed with how quickly the project has progressed. I know that you just recently added support for transcoding. I was wondering exactly what is checked to determine if transcoding is necessary. I've edited some recorded TV episodes using VideoRedo to cut out commercials and then used Handbrake to convert from mpeg2 to h.264 in an mkv container to save space and for better playback using a Chromecast (with the Android MB app or Plex app) on bedroom TVs. But I've noticed that the XBMB3C clients on my Windows 7 machines use transcoding to play some of the episodes. Episodes that were recorded as 720p mpeg2 video with AC-3 audio and converted to 720p h.264 video with AAC audio play just fine. However, episodes that were recorded at 1080i mpeg2 video with AC-3 audio and converted to 720p h.264 video with AC-3 and AAC audio tracks are forced to use transcoding. These same files play just fine on the same machines using WMC MBC with MPC-HC as an external player. I'm no Handbrake expert, so I might be causing the transcoding with my choice of settings. But really the only difference between the settings for the different types of episodes is that I reduce the 1080i files to 1280 x 720 and use Bob for deinterlacing. I also noticed that you've added "Transcoding" or "Direct Play" to the episode name, but sometimes an episode plays without either of these being added to the name. What does that mean? Thanks.

I'm having a problem getting the Remote Play to work with XBMB3C. I've checked all SMB shares, I am using the UNC path substitution instead of E:\path. Remote Play does work for my Media Portal Client. Hi there, I managed to get XBMB3C up and running with a bit of luck but amd trying to find some information on what all the various configuration options for the add-on do. I would be really grateful if someone might be able to provide details of what each option might change and perhaps even what the recommended settings might be.
