Hi all! I am looking for an API endpoint where I can list all IDs of TV Shows or Movies in a library. I have looked at the docs, swagger.emby.media, and Googled and can't find anything to enumerate this data. For context, I want to develop a small companion tool to dynamically manage collections based on metadata of TV shows and movies. For this to work, I need to iterate over each show or movie in a library, parse the data and add matching items to collections. Apologies in advance if this is an `ID10T` error. Thanks!

Hello, i just started with Emby Server and added new Music Library with hundreds of songs. They are id tagged with track name, artist, album and genre. When library scan finish, genre and album section in library is empty. Is because genre are not standard like "POP" but personalized "POP1"? But the same happened to "album". Please help Thanks

I'd like to write a script that calls my Emby server's API. This script should do some stuffs with the subtitles of a specific episode of a given TV show. How can I get the ID of a show based on its name ? Alternatively, is there a way I can browse the local Emby DB for debugging purposes ? Thanks !

Emby Version 3.0.5607.2 I noticed that the ID-number of a movie is wrongly set in the IMDB Id field. In fact the ID of TheMovieDB is set wrongly in that field and the info about the movie is thereby incomplete. Look at the picture below. ID 241239 (A Most Violent Year) is TheMovieDB id number, not the IMDB Id number. This bug must be there in previous versions as I had to correct the IMDB Id number for a lot of movies in my database.

Duplicate Server - Show Artist & Person Views and their Content 'Correctly'
ginjaninja posted a topic in Feature Requests
3.0.5526.29593 Similar to http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/8745-artist-listed-twice-in-album-artist-folder/?hl=duplicate In a similar way as to how it is impossible to identify incorrect similar artist ID3 tags from within MBS.... due to MBS Person and Artist views showing the Artist/Person names as matched rather than as is.... and the content against the Matched Person/Artist rather than Person/Artist as is... People Views also exhibit this problematic symptom..eg abby eliott The two source entities which created these two objects are 'Abby Elliot' and 'Abby Elliott'... in this case the 2nd 'incorrect' person object 'Abby Elliot' came from a gueststars tag on a series.xml.... Unfortunately it is impossible to use MBS to find the offending tag/source object and correct... because 1. The person/artist object is shown as matched rather than as is...so searching for the incorrect value outside MBS is obfuscated..(although looking at the IBN entry/path can help) 2. clicking on both person objects in UI shows content for the same matched person on the fetcher...NOT...the content which precipitated the object. Clicking one of the objects..the object for 'Abby Elliott' should show 3 episodes of HIMYM where the actor is defined...and it does... Clicking on the other object ..the object for 'Abby Elliot' (also shown as 'Abby Elliott') should show 1 Series of HIMYM where the actor is defined. but it doesnt... its shows the previous / same as above... Another example..i have 3 "Weird Al" Yankovic..s clicking on each one yields the following unique URLS http://localhost:8096/web/itembynamedetails.html?id=12980317ee5e2d0a0858a58977ff5620&context=tv&topParentId=f0a9d2c6947d6c6defaa52c7af70e0b8 http://localhost:8096/web/itembynamedetails.html?id=f6a10a3fe8863fc089849e76375dbd52&context=tv&topParentId=f0a9d2c6947d6c6defaa52c7af70e0b8 http://localhost:8096/web/itembynamedetails.html?id=f3ac96f426691445d1ffd6c74a616c11&context=tv&topParentId=f0a9d2c6947d6c6defaa52c7af70e0b8 but they all show the same content...the same movie 'the naked gun'.. The feature request is.... to name the Artist/Person objects in their respective views, as is not as matched... to not hide the content from the user which precipitated the object in the view..eg (the tags on) the tracks which precipitated the artist or e.g. the TVDB actor metadata which precipitated the person. or better yet...in this example There should be two person objects, one Abby Elliot - Identified and Matched (because it does) - showing content for 'Abby Elliott' and the other Abby Elliot - Not identified or Matched (because it doesn't) - Show content for 'Abby Elliot' Then when the duplicate/incorrect entry is identified...it would be obvious why..and the correction simple... thanks for considering..-

Hi all, in case you wonder about the strange title, let me explain what my problem is. I've just upgraded from MB2 to MB3/MPC. Now it seems, the "watched" status is bind to the "id" of the episode/movie and not anymore to the filepath and -name. Normally, this would be a good idea. But now I have a problem with this. There are items, that are basically the same tv show or movie but I have them in different folders (or even different drives). Why would I do this? Let me give you some examples. 1. Top Gear (UK, of course) I have a folder with the original british version and another one with the german synchronized version. Why? The first one (the original, full length) is for me, the german version is shortened (45 minutes) but it is better to understand for my wife and kids. 2. 2D and 3D version of a movie 3. Movies in different versions (directors/alternate/extended cut, different languages etc). Now, in MB3, when I watch one version of the movie/episode, the other versions (wich have the same imdb/tmdb/whatever id because it IS basically the same movie/episode) get also marked as "watched", which is not what I like to have! Is there any way to stop this and mark these series/movies as individuals? Thanks & Ciao, Alfred
