Do you have plans to add scenes to the info page, or is that something that needs to be added to the actual MB plugin?

 

Also one suggestion, is it possible to animate the disc on the info page? Just looks a bit odd to me stuck in a static position.

The scenes would be something for the addon itself, I don't think that this is currently supported.

 

I tried animating the discart on the infopage but I found it a bit destracting in that place.

It's easy to add it back in so will create a skinsetting for it.

As I understand correctly you'd like to have a rotating fanart thumb for your movie genres button? Sorry, this is not possible... You can off course set your own custom image to the button

Thanks, Any I am happy with the results of Genres, all categories appears nicely.

However, my thought is Genres are based on movies library, I was hoping it should only extract back drops rotations from GENRES categories ONLY, but see back drop rotations from adult fanart, this defeated the purpose of having Genres for audience without seeing the adult collections, any idea on how this could be configured to prevent adult backdrops populating, while this maintain backdrop rotations.

I think you have to restart XBMC/Kodi after you first installed things...

 

Thanks but tried that and it doesn't help. The movies widget on the homescreen does nothing at all. I can get to mediabrowser via Videos but thats way to many clicks to get to movies. Also I can't add in a homecreen menu item for mediabrowser collections. Then after playing around a while the whole thing has locked up!!

Are you using MediaBrowser as your backend with the skin ?

If so, please keep in mind that you have to setup/enable the tvtunes addon in the MB3 server as well..

Did you enable mediabrowser mode in the skin settings for the movies section ?

Hmm, I think I understood your question not good enough.

I think by genres you mean your MB3 collections that you've set up.

 

Well this is in fact possible as you want it.

 

Go to the skin settings --> configure menu items

Press the add button

Go to MediaBrowser collections

Here you will see your mediabrowser collections, you can add a tile for every collection you have.

 

--> the tile image will only show images from that particular collection

--> if you also want a widget for that collection tile, also press "select widget" --> custom collection widget

Currently uploading a new beta of the skin to the beta repo, version 2.2.4 with some small fixes:

 

- fixed some image scaling issues
- fixed animated discart in movieinfo Dialog
- added labels to square panels
- added rss feed to enhanced home screen
- fixed label error in widget if no rating available
- fixed widgets not visible if message dialog visible

Cool...wasnt sure if it was skin related or not...because with the current scaling we can only use 1 type of box to make it look nice

Please try with latest beta of the skin.. I've been playing around with the scalings. Maybe things will look better now but I'm not 100% sure

Being nit-picky here, but is there a reason the thumbs in the widgets are stretched? its not a lot but it is noticeable. You can see in this screen the size they are now and they size they should be.

 

Also I really like the animated disc in the info page, but if its found to be too distracting to others as you said i'm fine if it needs to be changed back.

Thanks for noticing, I thought I fixed all scaling issues but apparently I forgot one.

Fixed it just now, available in a next beta I provide soon.

 

As for the animating disc art, there's a setting for the animated discart in viewsettings, if that's disabled it also won't be animated in the info dialog.

I just noticed that every few tile art rotation the following happens:

I just noticed that every few tile art rotation the following happens:

 

All the MBS tiles will change to music art. Then they all change back to there respective art. I captured the log and it happens when this part appears:

Hmm, this looks likes something's wrong with the latest mb3 addon version...

I'll check it out for you, in the meanwhile can you revert to previous version of the mediabrowser addon ?

This has been happening since 728...i can live with it for now cuz reverting back to older builds is kind of a hassle

Hmm, I think I understood your question not good enough.

I think by genres you mean your MB3 collections that you've set up.

 

Well this is in fact possible as you want it.

 

Go to the skin settings --> configure menu items

Press the add button

Go to MediaBrowser collections

Here you will see your mediabrowser collections, you can add a tile for every collection you have.

 

--> the tile image will only show images from that particular collection

--> if you also want a widget for that collection tile, also press "select widget" --> custom collection widget

in Titan- I configured home video  menu but there was no rotations, but the backdrop is populating from movies library, how is that possible

I thought the logic is backdrop is specific to each menu category since Home video library is seperate movies library folder in serve how could this have happen, am doing something wrong?

If I recall correctly only music, musicvideos, movies and tvshows backdrops are used to generate the images...

So no home videos. I can take a look at the addon's code to check if this can be fixed...

For the time beiing you can maybe specify movies as the content-type in the MB3 server ?

I just pushed another beta version of the skin to the beta repo

Various fixes:

- fixes for onscreen keyboard in helix

- fixes for codecinfo tags

- some more alignment fixes

- compressed images for smaller skin size

 

And two new features:

 

1. Touchscreen support

--> enable it in the skinsettings

--> first version so bugs to be expected (feedback welcome!)

 

2. Support for Smart Widgets (beta addon)

--> widgets that present content based on history/behaviour etc, really cool!

You're so responsive, dam men I love you- I will move file to movies folder, hope it won't conflict with the backdrops from Genre's.
Speaking of Genres, I think this would be great a option for users if included in all facets as mentioned below, why
For instance I have movies library of over 2000+
Initially I created a folder in server named movies, Titan-movies menu, this works fine
but:
loading or fetching movies info time takes too long, once a movie played, it takes equal time to reload, which Genre's resolve, instead of unwinding 2000+ movies, it just default to 22 categories
also searching for a specific movies can be challenging-which Genre's resolved coz I could narrow/drill down by Category-
with respect to my guest request, or users of my server who only wish to watch specific group of movies, this difficult as I have to create a new folder for each purpose, maintenance efforts is in efficient and effective.
Suggestions: On the server side
 

  • Under user profile-additional 3 tap next to library for Genre's movies, music and TV shows
  • One can easily provide access to specific movie category thus elevating the need for creating additional folder
     
  • User can manipulate Genre's as they which in metadata which should auto add to Genre's list
     
  • Speed of response to several guest needs would be fast, as it would just take check/unchecked grouping
     
  • The data/info are currently available in all facets (server, addon, skin) it just a matter of manipulating the system to accommodate these needs

 

Suggestions: On the Titan side
 

Titan already have the ability to create menu for Genre's, (I have tried and is working fine-love it) just need fixing rotations on the menu, and backdrops
Not a simple as you thought, agreed but you guys are skilful and can be done with time
My 2 cent contribution, hope it make sense!

Not to ruin the theme or anything, but if you replace the sounds with those from Steam BPM, its just like they were made for each other. (dont mind steam taking forever to open apparently it had an update).

 

Not saying you should do this, just wanted to show how well they pair together.

Are these sounds copyright free ?

I can provide muliple soundthemes with the skin, just like I did with the fonts and the theme.

Must be sure that stuff is free of any copyrights because the skin is in official repo.

Must be sure that stuff is free of any copyrights because the skin is in official repo.

Hmm, I think I understood your question not good enough.

I think by genres you mean your MB3 collections that you've set up.

 

Well this is in fact possible as you want it.

 

Go to the skin settings --> configure menu items

Press the add button

Go to MediaBrowser collections

Here you will see your mediabrowser collections, you can add a tile for every collection you have.

 

--> the tile image will only show images from that particular collection

--> if you also want a widget for that collection tile, also press "select widget" --> custom collection widget

Good day Marcel -Genres menu backdrops rotation works for Win7 not for andriod box, both system are set up identical i.e. on addon and titan skin, any reasons why this could have happen? I will post a log latter for a review both systems and something would stand out that may have caused Andriod not to backdrop.

Also since backdrop works for Genres-proves my earlier point, hence could you please look into why the menu rotations is not and make it work :)
