Here's the log. So for now I'm using it on a seperate server with just one tv show to see how long this will take. If one uses the .strm method, they are not probed by Emby before the first playback. Because these values are not stored in the dB (because they are STRM files) then it's going to reject that item. So unfortunately, this is a limitation as Runtime is never populated for STRM files. I use these a lot myself for cross show 'specials' but as my STRM's point to actual local video files which DO have runtimes - Introskip works on those ok. But emby also probes the files on First playback and the info is also being stored. but also for probed strm files it doesn’t work, so I guess Emby Server is limiting here in some way unfortunately. Is this something you can look at or is it a conceptual problem? You definitely want to make sure that you have runtime data for your episodes. ShadowKindjal 19 Posted March 11, 2022 Share Posted March 11, 2022 I've been lurking every once and a while to monitor the status of this plugin and it looks like a lot of work has been done so I'm tempted to enable it on my 104 TB server. I'm currently running 4.6.7.0 from a docker container and I wanted to know if I needed to update my version of emby or update my ffmpeg version prior to attempting to use this plugin. I tried using the "HasChromaprint" url but it seems like that wasn't a valid URL. So, my question is, do I need to update my ffmpeg? Do I need to update to the beta to use this plugin because I'm using docker? Lastly, if I don't want to update to the beta is there a stable release coming soon that has the latest version of ffmpeg that will allow me to use the plugin? So give it a try and let us know how it goes It is not in docker as I cannot get gpu passthrough to work in docker in debian 11 due to the nvidia docker not being updated to cgroupsv2 and hardware acceleration f9r teanscoding is vital. So give it a try and let us know how it goes I would suggest trialling with a subset of the 104Tb of data though You can either setup another instance of emby to test or you can exclude all shows using the Plugin Advanced options - and then remove a couple of shows (ie now INCLUDED) to test. The connectivity method is irrelevant - Introskip is just using the built in API to 'skip' - so no different to you skipping or using a chapter on a client for example. If you turn on debug logging and send us the logs for when you believe it should 'skip' then we can check for you as the plugin in pretty verbose in what it's doing. So far, it has only successfully detected intro and credits for a few files (out of many). I've tried re-running the AF and resetting detection data, but it still couldn't find the intro or credits for the bulk of my files. Is this as expected with the beta releases? Also, for those files in which IntroSkip did detect the intro, it still played the long previous episode recap shown before the intro. I would love to see IntroSkip detect and skip the previous episode recaps along with the intros. The episode recaps drive me nuts...usually 2 minutes long and rarely necessary....lol. Cheers. Do you have an example of shows where Introskip is not successfully picking up the Intro's ? General consensus is Introskip is successfully picking up 70-80% of shows without manual intervention. Remember, the technology is matching the AUDIO patterns of each episode - so unless the Audio is the same for every Intro, then it will not pick it up - the Video is not used. And for this very reason, it will never automatically pickup 'recaps' as they are obviously different for every episode. The ability to skip recaps can be 'manually' added however if the 'Intro' happens immediately after the recap - you just need to bring forward the detected Intro 'Start' time to also cover the recap. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
