I'm going to admit my programming mistake here. It was a rookie mistake.

I had this written this:

If item.LastPlayedDate < DateTime.Now.AddDays(-10)

It should not have been that... It should have been ">".

🤦‍♂️

Easy mistake to make, it's one character, ok, one very important character, but still just one character 😀

Okay. Are you currently running .43?

The most recent release?

Also, strm files take a bit longer to start (from what I've noticed). If the item it is pointing to is also being transcoded, it might even take extra time to start the stream.

I can't seem reproduce the issue, I've tried my phone, firetv and the web client.

However, best to see a log to help diagnose what kind of playback issues are going on.

@Darkseidd Thanks for the log.

I have reproduced something similar to what you have described there.

I need to investigate a bit further.

Hello, everyone,

I have the problem that it is not displayed correctly (sequence) on the start page. How can I solve the problem? Also, only 5 out of 9 films are displayed.

Everything is displayed correctly in the library.

thank you for your help

why Reacher tv series resolved as The Teacher by Top Picks?

That is really weird.

Can I see a log? I can think of why that would happen. We don't look for names of items outside emby, so something's up.

Can I suggest using Emby's own metadata manager to make sure that the series is properly identified? Maybe you have the images correct because sonarr generated them, but the series itself identified wrong?

Emby metadata indentifies it just fine :

not sure if this help, at all my self-define library, I didn't store metadata info at nfo file

I had thought about this as well. It might have been named improperly somewhere.

I'll go through the logs.

We do a provider check for images, but that shouldn't alter the name of the item.

The only other thing it could be is inside the series.nfo the name is incorrect.

@Darkseidd would you mind opening the series.nfo

"Emby-Server/programdata/data/top-picks/Reacher"

See if there is anything out of place?

inside tvshow.nfo clearly talks about The Teacher (2022), while the image are all..Reacher (2022) (except season01 poster)

image.thumb.png.7a4be8f42085f176d8837257b837b5a1.png

inside Season 1 folder spells out info regarding Reacher (2022) , based off the filename of episode's name. But inside nfo files, contains episodes description that matches The Teacher (2022)

below is from emby

So it sounds like we're on to something here...

If you look at the actual series folder found inside your library, does the series NFO contain the same information?

OK. I know what this is. We are looking for data from the providers.

I can fix that. I just don't know if I should run the provider results through a regex to try a little harder to get the right result, or attempt to build the NFO with the data from the server. Probabaly the second one.

I'll put it into the code, and push a new release tonight.

@horstepipe I haven't forgotten you. I've laid the ground work to recreate the original Alpha-picker for the media select.

It won't be in this new release, but probably the next one.

Hey

that's the last post I found about it. So still on the todo or did you run in some trouble here?

Best regards
