Hi,

with 7.5.1 database sync stuck at the end of movie sets sync. It remains on the last set scraped.

If I restart Kodi the sync restart and stops at the same point, adding a second copy of the movie on the database.

Tried also uninstalling the addon and reset Kodi database but the problem is still there.

The skip intro works. The message does fill up the whole screen. I guess that's a templating issue and not a feature issue.  it would be nice if the message would disappear if one doesn't react after X seconds. I haven't seen the credit skip message yet. I probably have to enable it still

Sounds like and issue in the "new" folder sync. Please send me a kodi.log for review.

Definitely the folder sync issue. Will be fixed in next version (tomorrow). I forgot to add this bugfix in the 7.5.1 version

That's probably skin related. It's a standard Kodi yesno message box (if it's enabled in plugin config menu). Otherwise there shouldn't be a message box at all (and auto skip the intro). The actual design of the message box is responsibility of the skin.

Or no credit markers are detected by Emby. You can check the episode bookmarks in Kodi. There should be (textoverlay) labels.

Yes, but actually that's not new. It was even possible in 6.x version. In 7.x was a bug in this feature.

To all testers,

Currently I'm stabilizing this version for release as next beta. I think there are no more design flaws in this version.

Imho, the concept of syncing is now perfect with the new included folder sync. It should cover all sort of cases (database should never go out of sync).

Please report all bugs, but I'll not add more features in the current version.

Bugs will still be fixed and I'll perform advanced testing.

Did anyone try this version on AppleTV?

Tested Emby Next Gen 7.x.x. Sync is so much faster on a Nvidia Shield 2019. Artwork refreshes faster.

I am using alpha / beta Emby Next Gen 7.5.2 to test on a Nvidia Shields 2019  version 9.1.x installed and Kodi 19.3 software version.

The one consistent issue (also in Emby Next Gen 6.x.x) I have is when setting the "Kodi" Player Disc option to open the ISO with a "Simplified menu" it always crashes Kodi.
Default skins, Addon mode, repeated on two different Nvidia Shields. I have Cinemode enabled and each trailer and my custom intro play fine.

However once it goes to load the ISO container which should show a context menu to select title playback it never loads and Kodi crashes.
This is not an issue when the "Kodi" Player Disc option is set to "Play main movie" as it is already auto opening the ISO container looking for a media file (usually the biggest ISO continer playlist item) as a media source in the ISO container.

What I believe is happening is the context menu for Show simplified playback is not opening due to the GUI menu for playback title choice being destroyed causing Kodi to go into a bad state.

Other than that this release seems very solid so far. But I would love this get fixed as it would put full feature parity with before Next Gen.

I installed the latest version, 7.5.2 to try and fix external files not playing, and that fixed it, but now internal files won't play.  I was trying to test differences between the internal and external player.  Probably not a big deal in the end since external is working and watched flags work.

Well, the files are regular mkvs, so they should play internally as well. Unfortunately the log doesn't show too much information. As mentioned, can you send me your player configurations? I assume it's the playercorefactory.xml, but not sure. I don't use external players.

Did you perform a stock Kodi test, not using the next-gen plugin at all. I'm not sure if this is related to the plugin and quite hard to test vor me. On my laptop I cannot even activate the "Show Blu-Ray menu" due to a (Kodi) java issue.

Simplified works fine, but'll check again.

It's pretty basic.  It's a copy of the example from the kodi wiki minus the resolution filter and with the hide flags both set to true.  Is there a way to switch to native mode without reinstalling?

Blah, I figured it out.  Pihole was blocking it.  Ah, the joys of coming back to a bunch of complex systems that need updating after a year of not touching anything due to a baby....  I was randomly disabling pihole for other reasons and that's why it was working sometimes and not others.
