I experimented with Emby some time ago, and recently tried it again. My main purpose is to schedule and make live TV recordings. I used version 4.3.0 installed on a Mac mini, took out a month's subscription to Premiere, scheduled some test recordings, checked that the first one worked, and everything was fine. The recording that I had made was displayed under Recordings in the Live TV section, and those that were still scheduled were displayed there under Schedule. So far so good. I then downloaded and installed the latest version of Emby, 4.8.10. There was then nothing displayed under Recordings or under Schedule. The recording that I had made was however still in ~/emby-server/data/livetv/recordings and, when I looked at ~/emby-server/data/livetv/timers.json, it seemed that the scheduled recordings were still set. Thinking that this could be due to a change in data formats between the two versions, I deleted all the data (the ~/emby-server folder) and set up version 4.8.10 from scratch. I scheduled more test recordings. They did not show under Schedule on the Live TV screen, but did seem to be set in the JSON file. The first one was in fact recorded on schedule, and appeared in the recordings folder, but did not show up in the Recordings section of the Live TV screen. I tried downloading the beta version to see if this was a bug that had been fixed. The Recordings and Schedule sections on the Live TV page were still blank. (The file that I downloaded from the beta version link was named 4.8.10 rather than 4.8.14, so I'm not sure whether I actually downloaded the beta version or not.) So I reverted to version 4.3.0. I had to delete all the data and start from scratch again, but it did then work as expected. I have no problem with staying on 4.3.0, but feel that this is a problem that should be fixed and so I am reporting it to the community. Generally, Emby feels like a good software package, it has the features I need, and the user interface is better organised and more intuitive than on similar packages that I have tried. I'm surprised to have encountered this problem, and not to have seen any discussion of it in the forums, which I did check before posting. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, and are the developers aware of it?

HI Some questions about the UI for Android TV (ATV) app, and the lack of options that are there in the Android app. 1: Why isn't it possible to add movies to Collections on ATV, this is there in Android? 2: When viewing Collections, why can’t it show “all items” as standard, or have this as choice to be the standard viewing? Collections should not act as Playlists…. 3: SUB sync should be there. +/- in milliseconds would be nice. 4: Sound sync should also be there, as in SUB sync, milliseconds. I really like the Emby app for ATV, but there should be some more choices for the UI. I like to push buttons, but less is more. That’s why I recommend point “2”. And I think that most of the choices we have in the Android app could also work on ATV app? I run Verson 2.0.84g Registered and Server version (4.7.11.0) on Windows 10. Kindly, Petter

I would like to request that the back-end dialog to remove a library folder from emby include explicit wording that the files themselves will not be removed or deleted. It is currently unclear and could give much pause. Server... Library... Hamburger on particular library... Remove... (it may exist elsewhere as well)

Mouse cursor reappears on media change, does not disappear
SenatorIvy posted a topic in Windows & Xbox
On Emby Theater (latest) in Windows 10 (1803) the mouse cursor reappears when media change happens, and does not disappear after. Ie: Click on episode 1 Move cursor to lower corner of screen out of habit Media bar and cursor eventually fade out Finish episode 1 Mouse cursor reappears in lower corner and never disappears. This gives me the angular resize cursor in the lower corner when I'm binge watching and it drives me bonkers.- 112 replies

1) I had music playing and I backed all the way out to the sign in screen and signed out. Music kept playing. I went up to the now playing music note at the top to stop it and it didn't do anything. I had to back out again, sign in, then I could stop the music. Sign out should automatically stop everything that's playing/paused. 2) Emby is very difficult to exit. I mean, the only way to stop it is to go to the main menu of the Xbox, push an option key, and kill it. Emby should behave like the YouTube app: if you try to back out further than than sign in screen, it should prompt if you want to close the app. 3) The lists of songs in the app never show their favoriated status on a 1080p TV. The only way to see the favorites is to play each song individually and see if the heart is checked. This likely goes hand in hand with a similar issue on web UI where the screen has to be ridiculously wide for the favorite column to present.

I prefer titles to be visible on all views, as there are many titles that have the same poster but different titles, such as when a movie has 58 different cuts/editions/versions, ala Bladerunner. However having just started using Emby Theater I am finding some title issues: 1. Titles are getting ...'d instead of their label being shrunk to fit. (For example the title will fit if viewed in Desktop mode, but not in TV mode) 2. Titles are outright missing in collections.

See screenshots below. Just a little tweak necessary after the latest Android Mobile app. Can't confirm whether this looks the same in WebUI right now. Someone else will, or I'll reply/edit after my next failed file appears. Padding/margin seems to be based taking a backseat to the width determined by the length of the filename string.
