  1. Hi, I'm running trueNAS scale on the latest version (TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.0.1). I'm using the trueNAS version and not the TrueCharts version as I found speed issues with the charts version. So,.as per the attached screenshot, I've allocated the GPU passthrough (not sure if all 3 need to be on). I have an intel i9-9920X CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610. Those options are the only options in each of the 3 drop downs. I assume this is Intel Quick sync as trueNAS wouldn't let me allocate the GPU to a VM. Hardware transcoding doesn't seem to working. I have turned hardware transcoding on in Emby server settings. I thought them when hardware transcoding was running during a transcode it is indicated in the server dashboard, however when I am transcoding nothing about hardware transcoding is indicated. Have I done something wrong or missed something? Or is it that hardware transcoding is simply not possible? Thanks, Sam
  2. I had to remove Emby due to setting up a incorrectly configured setting for SSL and set SSL to required. So I was no longer able to access it, but now after being uninstalled it wont install properly and won't shutdown via the Emby Web interface. I am trying to setup SSL again, but it doesn't seem to reconfigure when I force it closed and open again from the docker controls in TrueNAS. Is there something I am missing to get back to a fresh emby install, or is there something up with the image? I am trying to install the TrueNAS Scale official charts emby image. Any help is appreciated
  3. Hi, I have installed Emby server on my Truenas system and trying to use DLNA to send music files to Keff ls50W speakers. I am able to connect to the speakers. But when I send some music file, the all seem to skip. Symptoms: In the logging hte error is shown "Access token is invalid or expired", with a Response 401 error code. I am able to send music files to my smart sony tv via dlna (That is on the same subnet) Stuff tried: - Configure te local lan settings to 192.168.1.0/24 - Disable the app on my phone and only use the internal website. Do you have any thoughts at what I am doing wrong? Thank you, Bob embyserver (2).txt
  4. Hi all, Really hoping someone can help me. Since upgrading Emby on my TrueNAS box yesterday and now I can't get any playback from the media on the server. Apologies in advanced, I am a novice with both Emby and TrueNAS scale. When trying to playback media I get the message: "No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." Originally (and looking at some threads on here) I thought this could be a permissions issue, checked the ACL and everything seems fine, nothing has changed since initial setup and its been working fine up until this point. However, on close inspection of the log files I can see that is shows "No such file or directory", The media sits on the same server that Emby runs on, and I can connect to the share from my PC and confirm that all the media is in the correct file paths and can be played locally through VLC. I have attached the logs (sanitized IP addresses in them) and would be grateful if someone could advise or point me in the right direction I would be greatful. Not sure if its relevant, but I started a backup to BackBlaze B2 today using the cloud sync tasks in TrueNAS. Again, not sure if this is relevant at all but its the only other thing thats changed on the server apart from the Emby upgrade yesterday. I have halted the backup until I can get to the bottom of this issue. OS: TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.4.2 Emby: 4.8.1.0_2.0.2 embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-e3a973eb-96fe-480b-9652-8d7bc6f9c9bd_1.txt
  5. Hi there, New to Truenas Scale and Kubernetes and the like. I usually use an Ubuntu flavour as a server platform. I have had Emby Premiere for a couple of years now. This is the Official app, not Truecharts. I seem to have an profile that can't seem to keep it's Emby Connect profile saved. I am not sure if it is a crash that erases it, or if I have set something up incorrectly that does not let it persist. Everything else persists though, so it is quite confusing to me. I've performed restarts of the server from the Emby Web GUI, I've stopped and started the server from the Truenas Web GUI, and the Emby Connect seems to persist all through that. So I am guessing it is crashing at some point and Truenas recovers the server, but during this recovery it does not include Emby Connect in the profile. It is the only profile set up on the server. Does anyone have any suggestions to track down my issue? I am a little out of my depth. Thank you.

    Emby on TrueNas Scale

Posting here as I could not find a Truenas specific area. I have recently transitioned my media onto TrueNAS scale which supports Emby out of the box as an App It runs up easily and I have mapped DataSets to various folders of media that I have then added to libraries. All of that looks good, however Emby finds no files in the libraries. Looking in the logs I can see that permission to access the HostPaths seems to be missing though I have checked using SMB that the files can be seen and I have resolved the issues with HostPath checking without overriding the safety setting. All of the example installs I see online just do the setup I have and it just works. None mention adding access rights for Emby as an App or anything. I think this is the issue and I have sought help on the TrueNAS community, but to no avail. I know this is not an Emby issue but I am hoping somebody here has encountered the same or similar issues and can give me some pointers about how to give Emby access to the HostPath datasets.
  7. Dear all, I'm a newbie on Truenas scale. I used to use Emby server on Windows platform without any issue. I installed a new server with TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.4 and emby application. I did the initial setup, i think with success, because the content of my library stored on a dedicated Dataset was identified and stored in the Emby server database. I can then play and search content in my library from any Emby client without trouble. BUT : there is no way for my emby server setup to deal with any new content stored in my dedicated Dataset after that first scan. New folders under that dataset or even only new files stored in a well recognized folder on the first scan is ignored, even after manual library refresh. I don't know what to do. My "volume dataset system" for the video content is named : BIBLIOTHEQUE-01 and has a dataset under it named SERIES My emby server application is configured with "Emby Server Host Path Volume" to /SERIES and "Host Path" to /mnt/BIBLIOTHEQUE-01/SERIES. My emby server folder configuration is set to : /SERIES Many thanks for your kind help. Stephane.

Cinema Intros for TrueNAS Scale App

I just updated to TrueNAS scale, loaded the emby server app and finally got everything going when I noticed I don't have cinema intros anymore as there isn't a trailer channel plugin on TrueNAS scale. Is there a fix for this or am I out of luck?
