Hello, I'm experiencing frequent frame drops (not stuttering) on HDR/Dolby Vision 4K content while using Jellyfin and Emby on my TCL C805 TV running Google TV (Android v12). This occurs during Direct Play and affects only HDR/Dolby Vision content—SDR and x264 content play without issues. The same problem also occurs on Netflix and other streaming apps. It seems the TV remains locked at 60Hz, causing frame drops when playing 23Hz content. Both "Enable Refresh Rate Switching" and "Match Video Resolution" settings do not appear to work correctly on this TV or Android TV platform in general. Are there any known issues or fixes for frame rate switching on TCL TVs or Android TV? This is severely affecting the viewing experience for HDR content. Any help would be appreciated. Note: If i use Kodi as external player is working fine.

Recently on my Google TV Chromecast, when I select a "genre" and do a "shuffle all", I'm finding that the resulting shuffled playlist includes "bad" entries that are not songs. I'm not sure what they are. These entries cause the playback to stop. I am able to skip to the next entry in the playlist and playback will resume until it encounters another of these bad entries. I do not experience this behavior when playing songs on my desktop or Android phone, i.e. I do not see "bad" entries in the shuffle playlists. I'm running server version 4.9.0.30 beta and Google TV version 2.1.14g. Note: I just tested the "play all" function and nothing plays.

I'm currently traveling and I'm accessing my Emby home server using a Google TV/Chromecast device. When listening to music I typically select a genre and then select "suffle all". For an unknown reason the songs that get selected are from *any* genre and not limited to the genre I'm in. At home I use another identical Google TV device and I haven't experienced this issue. I've been away for a few weeks so I'm wondering if there has been a recent update that broke the "suffle all" by genre functionality.

Hi good day, I am running Emby in a container on Synology and it is working flawlessly. Recently I discovered something very strange with transcoding of DTS-HD MA/TrueHD when viewing a video in CCWGTV (Chromecast with GoogleTV). The movie has 2 audio streams: DTS-HD MA and AC3 5.1. If I start the video with the default audio DTS-HD MA, it gets transcoded correctly in Emby for AndroidTV if I set the option "Transcode incompatible audio to AC3". If I switched the audio to AC3 while playing, it is direct-playing. But when I switched the audio back to DTS-HD MA, it is still direct-playing the audio instead of transcoding it. This is very strange. I also tried the standard Android version (not for Android TV), DTS-HD MA is not getting transcoded at all! My SONOS Playbar does not support DTS anyway so Emby client should trigger the transcoding to AC3. Using the standard Android version on the Android tablet it is behaving correctly: switching AC3 => DTS-HD MA => audio gets transcoded. I am running Emby client on CCWGTV and the following versions: Emby server: 4.8.3.0 Emby Client: Emby for Android TV 2.1.10g Emby Client: Android Emby 3.3.77 I have attached server log from Emby. Please let me know what else do you need to troubleshoot this issue. Hi, I have a question regarding the integration of Emby and Google TV "services". Should Emby work with my GoogleTV homescreen? I have noticed some differences between AndroidTV and GoogleTV, mainly the disappearance of the "Watch on Emby" button for shows listen on my GoogleTV home screen. I friend of mine has an older Sony TV with Android TV which does provide this functionality. It seems this has changed in GoogleTV using more cloud like features, providing support for Netflix and Disney+, but Emby is not listed. To be clear, this functionality has never worked on this GoogleTV TV, I have been using Emby on it for about a year. The Emby app itself works fine, the problem is regarding the homescreen of the TV, not the homescreen inside of the Emby app. Is this something that should be working? So I recently moved to a new place. Prior to moving, Emby for android worked perfectly, no playback issues. But now, at my new place, Emby on my android devices and google tv stutters and lags as if it were buffering the stream. Video plays for a few seconds and then stops to buffer anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds. this cycle will repeat indefinitely making watching anything virtually impossible. Does anyone know why this would be happening? When I moved, I kept my same internet provider, same network. When I play Emby on the host PC, it plays fine, no stutter. It's only when I try to play it on through the Android app or chromecast that it stutters. Any help is appreciated!

I receive constant freezing when streaming IPTV to a chromecast with Google TV, I want it to hardware encode but it seems to always stutter consistently. I already downmix the audio to stereo after seeing another article. Can you please assist?

Hello all. I've recently found that all of my Google TV clients (new Chromecast) do not display subtitles. Movie subtitles will show up provided they are already there, but never TV shows. I can download show subs through the app, and even hash matched subs won't show up after being downloaded. If I play the same episode on my android phone, PC, or firestick however, the subtitles will show.

Hi Emby, I see Reelgood has already integrated Plex into their service. My question is are their any plans to also integrate Emby into Reelgood services? Best user experience is why we're all here, and it's obvious that such an integrate would greatly improve user experience by both having complete access to content multiple streaming sources, and the content recommendation system. I do see that inquiries have been made regarding Reelgood for a little more than two years. I believe many of your patrons, including me, would really like to see this option progress into reality. Emby could make it apart of their premium service to encourage additional patronage. I feel this would benefit both Emby and patrons, as I'm sitting here, considering reactivating my plex just to get an idea of how the integration of my content and services will look together. Hi guys! I recently bought the new Chromcast with Google TV (Android TV) and it was a blast! The system fluidity speed is amazing. I just decided to give a better look at the app banner of Emby so I generated a APK launcher for the Emby Android TV app and I think it's a better fit in my opinion. I'm a graphic designer since 7 years now so if you need something else just ask!✌ PS: I have the Emby logo in vector, that's why. The app banner size is 1280px × 720px and the green color is the same as the Emby symbol logo. Cheers!

Hi Question is in the title.. App is not visible on my Sony NSZ-GS7. Seems like GTV would be the ideal platform for this app. Any technical reason it's not supported? Cheers Gush
