  1. Recently on my Google TV Chromecast, when I select a "genre" and do a "shuffle all", I'm finding that the resulting shuffled playlist includes "bad" entries that are not songs. I'm not sure what they are. These entries cause the playback to stop. I am able to skip to the next entry in the playlist and playback will resume until it encounters another of these bad entries. I do not experience this behavior when playing songs on my desktop or Android phone, i.e. I do not see "bad" entries in the shuffle playlists. I'm running server version 4.9.0.30 beta and Google TV version 2.1.14g. Note: I just tested the "play all" function and nothing plays.
  2. Hi all, Problem On a given series I will shuffle all episodes for background noise. Initially, everything works smoothly, and episodes play without any problems. However, eventually the next episode does not play, the system gets stuck indefinitely, displaying a spinning icon and never playing the next episode. I've attached my embyserver log. I ran into this issue at~8:30ish tonight. Details: Emby Server: Windows, latest Playback Device: Nvidia Shield Issue Location: Favorites > [Selected Show] > Shuffle Behavior: Autoplay failure near the end of episodes Folder Structure: All episodes are in a single folder Troubleshooting Steps Taken: I've attempted the following troubleshooting steps without success: Restarting the Emby Server Reinstalling the Emby Server Toggling on/off various playback options What should I do/try? Open to trying any thoughts here. embyserver.txt
  3. I use the DLNA plugin to stream my music to another box. This works. But what doesn't work when using DLNA are the following options: - Add to playlist - Play next - Play all from here - Shuffle As soon as I select a song to end up in the playlist, it is immediately selected and played. It's the same with the other functions. If I turn off DLNA or don't use it, then I can use the above features without any problems. For me it is a bug that should be fixed. My Emby version is up to date.
  4. I use the shuffle all option in my TV Shows quite a lot, but for a few shows I have a lot of specials/webisodes/featurettes and the like that can result in the shuffle all function becoming "polluted" with content I don't necessarily want to rewatch again. My current workaround is to use the .ignore file feature in my specials folder to exclude the content from Emby all together or only shuffle a specific season depending on the show (both not ideal), but an option to exclude specials/season 0 folders when using shuffle all would be an awesome addition! Thanks, AD
  5. I've been an Emby User since MediaBrowser v1, it has only gotten much, much, MUCH better. It's replaced Remote Potato, and is getting very close for me to drop WMC and move to Win10 on my HTPC's. One suggestion that I'd love to see would be more 'on the fly' ability to Play All/Shuffle All in the Music collections. In the current layout, *most* of this functionality is available on *most* clients via the play all, shuffle all, and the Instant Mix options, and the ability to create a music playlist with all items. Unfortunately, the available 'quick' options are focused toward singular genres, artists or albums. There isn't an apparent way to Shuffle All from the Songs View. It would be great to see some options to directly go into a Play All or Shuffle All music situation directly from the Music Collection Home screen or even the primary home screen. WMC is great at this; having a Play Favorites function from the Music ribbon that could be configured to play all music, and a consistent, contextual, "Play All" at the top of the Music Library screen. Creating an All Music playlist and then updating said playlist every time music is added to the library is an extra step that shouldn't be needed. (Maybe I'm missing a way to make an auto playlist that will always be populated with all available music???) Not trying to make Emby into WMC, Emby is clearly better, and more functional in many ways, but I think implementing an option to easily jump into playing the entire music collection is much needed! Thanks for considering!
