I have a question that I don't know if it is possible to resolve or if it has a solution, generally when someone logs in from outside the network it appears in image number 1, I would like to know if instead of yes appearing, it could appear directly as in image number 2 (in which it only asks to write the username and password instead of selecting the user). The error remained the same as "Playback Error: No compatible streams are currently available message" I need to stress that I changed movies I tested, but the error is the same. Hello all, I installed emby server again after a fresh install of my server OS and open subtitles hasn't been able to find any subtitles for any of my media. I removed the plugin, restarted the server, reinstalled the plugin, verified I had the correct login information, etc. So I wondered what had actually saved as my password for the account. I unmasked it through firefox dev console and it said that "h:bWFUVDE5ODYuLg==" is the saved password. That is not anywhere near the password I entered the 50 times I attempted to login. I even changed my password on open subtitles to that to just get it working again. Does anyone know the location where emby saves plugin data like this? I would love to just be able to edit the saved data and input the correct password there. I have put *hours* of troubleshooting into this issue. I've reinstalled Emby completely more than once trying to resolve it. I've hit a brick wall. The open subtitles worked on my machine for years prior to this. Anyone have any idea?

Quick update - everything mentioned above only seems to be an issue with livetv specifically - I have several people watching livetv. I have all user accounts set to allow audio transcoding and allow changing of container formats but i do not allow video transcoding. just as a test i enabled video transcoding on my own account and for the first time I saw emby using 500% cpu but if I open a whole bunch of livetv streams to point where they start to fail, the emby process maxes out at 100% just like described above. Is it possible that something to do with livetv and/or the changing containers process is limited to single core for some reason?

The Embruary skin did not a lot of add-on link embedding, this is where a link to the actual add-on is added to the skin to display content. The first thing to check is that next up is actually working in EmbyCon. Open the EmbyCon add-on from the add-ons area of Kodi, navigate to the library you want i.e. your tv shows and then select next up. You should see the next episodes to watch. If that works then it is some sort of issue with the Embruary skin, I am not sure how to dig into that.

Hey, livetv is freezing a lot right now - It's weird because glances is reporting emby using 100% cpu but theres plenty of cpu to spare. When Plex is busy, this value will go up to 300-400% but Emby never seems to use more than 100%. This value is reported by glances, I'm not sure exactly how it is calculated. I've included a screenshot and also a screenshot of htop showing 100% cpu but also showing that the cpu is not 100% utilized.. again, not sure exactly how these are calculated and other apps seem to be able to use several hundred %'s. Emby is hitting some sort of artificial limitation that I'm not sure where it comes from. Attached logs as well. Hopefully someone can point me in right direction. Thanks! @ebr Although I’m not worried about exceeding my Premier limit. And don’t have a problem with you'r policies. (really just tiered of the ###’s of questions about it) The problem I see is that it is rather unclear… what exactly uses a premier device slot (and lots of others ask the same over and over again) For example @Happy2Play (an awesome Top Contributor) answered me and was a little later contradicted by you… Yes assuming you have the hardware and network that can handle them. That will count. Anything that is configured in the app (which that is) will count towards the limit. So don’t you think the MATRIX could be made much clearer?

Hello, I am having a problem with the audio and video getting out of sync. I have encountered it quite a few times. I noticed it first after I had paused the stream for a few and came back. Hit play and then the video freezes for a second or two then continues and that's when the video desyncs. The server is running in Docker under a Ubuntu VM inside proxmox. Also had another user say it happens during normal playback without pausing too. emby version 4.8.6.0

I'm running LibrELEC 12.0 (Kodi v21-Omega - 20240505 nightly build) on an RPi5 using the @Teddyknuddel2k version of the Embruary skin and EmbyCon v 1.11.27. The "Next Up" hub option shows me the next episode of the TV series I'm watching. However, right under that in the hub setup, I've got the "Next Up (EmbyCon)" hub, but that entry doesn't show up, as though there are no "next episodes" to show. I've definitely got a large selection of shows that we've been watching that I'd like to get picked up again. Other "x (EmbyCon)" hubs do show recent items (i.e. the latest movies & TV shows from my Emby instance), so EmbyCon is properly connecting to my Emby server and user. This issue has existed in previous nightly builds of LE 12.0 - I don't recall when, exactly it stopped working. I'm not sure whether it's an issue in Kodi, LE or EmbyCon, but my guess is EmbyCon, since some of it seems to work and some doesn't. However, I'm more than willing to admit my guess is wrong. Presume a log would be handy for those who know how to read the tea leaves: log-2024-05-16-00.21.26.zip Please let me know if you need any additional info to point me in the right direction or if it looks like the error is in a different castle.

I've got Emby running on a Linux server, updated to the current version. When I'm in a season, Emby auto-plays the next episode. At the end of the season, it just stops. It doesn't auto-play the first episode of the next season. Am I missing something to get that to happen?

Also noticed something that indicates there's something recognizing the album tag. I have the beatles tagged with 'whitelist' and abbey road tagged with 'whitelist'. The list of songs under the beatles in artist view is all of their songs but it's ordered so abbey road songs are listed first in alphabetical and then the rest are listed in alphabetical order

While I could make it a daily event I do not really want to do that as I am rather old (76) and I intermittently wake up when I should normally be sleeping and one thing to do to put me back to sleep is watch a little TV. I am a bit better off making it an automatic weekly task as that males the odds lower that it will be rebooting during times that I want to watch. But that still is a bit more intrusive than I want. I have mostly decided to reboot manually during times when I am watching something else like a sports event or a program on Prime or Paramount. That is not too hard for me, except for the remembering part, as i can do it while watching other things from the comfort of my chair. I think making a manual time, once a week on weekends, to do the reboots. I just hope my mind remains fit enough for remembering tasks. I can schedule an Alexa reminder and use that to remind me to perform a reboot but that requires that I remember what the reminder is for and that I perform the reboot after getting reminded. If the reminder comes at a bad time and I do not reboot right away I might forget that I need to reboot. Oh well! No solution is perfect but that does not mean that perfection is impossible, just quite difficult. BTW: My computer is set so that no drive or the computer is allowed to sleep. The energy savings from sleeping is minimal and the disadvantages are high so I do not allow my computers to sleep.

Nevermind pulled 4.8.6 from dockerhub installed and restarted - same behaviour.

4.8.5 through docker on Debian. unless I'm doing something wrong that seems to be the latest image from linuxserver.io
