The combination of the latest server beta and the next beta of the app (1.4.53) should get this all back to normal. Thanks. Hi I can confirm that the 1.4.53 update does now play UK HD Live TV "Most" of the time. Occasionally it just goes back to spinning on startup and you have to back out and try again. Not been testing it long enough yet to get a percentage of times but feels like 10-15%. HOWEVER we are not out of the woods ..... Recorded HD is still an issue when you do not record-transcode. I recorded 4 things Tonight: ITV1 - Emmerdale BBC1 - Holby BBC1 - Doctor Foster CHAN4 - Geat British Bake Off Emmerdale and holby were both fine and could be played on F/ATV and i noticed in the Web UI that they were showing as interlaced. You get a full ffmpeg transcode when playing these. Docter Fioster and GBBO will NOT play in F/ATV and in the Web UI they are NOT shown as interlaced when I believe they are. With these you get just a ffmpeg remux where is is just trying to copy the h264 stream. DF and GBBO play fine in the web app and Amdroid Mobile both of which force a transcode rather than a remux. I can give a link to the files but they will be big!! I enclose the failing ffmpeg-remux logs and the successful ffmpeg-transcode logs of the various programs. Hopefully an easy fix as the wife will be desperate to watch Doctor Foster tomorrow night!! Have you tried refreshing these with the web app to force it to re-probe them? Edit: Never mind, that won't matter as ffmpeg sees them as progressive: Stream #0:0[0x12d]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080 Finally, when the player is stuck with the spinning circle, is it possible for you to select the "Playback Correction" menu option and make it work? Do you try a full transcode as part of the "Playback correction Cycle"? ITV3HD did require two bites of the pie. I'm on a Shield that can do this by hardware codecs and from my understanding Exoplayer can utilize this (tunneling).@@ebr would you please answer my question. As indicated by the issues in this thread it doesn't appear to work with h264 content. Mpeg2 content, it does work for and the app will allow that to be de-interlaced at the device end. Since your problem recordings are saying they are progressive, you will have to use the Playback Correction menu item on them but see if they play properly after that. Given this situation, I'm not 100% sure the interlacing was the issue in the first place. That is by design because, in my testing, the on-board de-interlacing with old SD content is crap. But this is happening all over the shop with different media now. I am sure this happenned brfore the server upgrade to .11 earlier but I could try a role back there.
