New version available 7.7.5:

delta changelog:

animated icon by default off
fix minor music scan issue
add additional database locks, giving Kodi database ops priority
fix some database paused flags
remove realtime boxset updates (too slow -> current approach delays "regular" updates too much)

comment:

reset nodes is recommended: -> sync -> reset nodes

I modified the order of the filter which could improve the performance for recently added and recently played nodes. No need to adjust the skin.

Caution: reset nodes will also remove self created nodes. Probably take a backup of the nodes, in case you added your own custom nodes.

Today is my only free afternoon for the next 2-3 weeks, so i can not test a fix, i have installed 7.7.5 and after database reset,I cache the pictures and it hangs every time at the same point. Because I does not have free time more today and the the next 2-3 weeks, maybe you will see something in the log. Now i have downgraded to v7.7.4 and cache all pictures is working. Good look, thanks for all!

I found what I was looking for thanks. Just another question how often does nextgen sync with my emby server ? Say I add a new episode from a series how long does it take nextgen to pick it up ?

HI, not sure where this comes from

I just updated to 7.7.4 from ... no idea.

And I have now the problem that loading the Entries takes extremely long ~3m until I see something and I get constantly the "Playback Error".

..I am going to update tomorrow.

 

I already asked about a similar problem a month ago... that I was not able to connect to  the Server. And yes, the Server is on and reachable from my PC in the same Network.

Forget about all other issue in the log, this is the core.

If you wanna debug this issue (and this is 100%) not a general plugin issue, you must do it in stages and that's not easy. You need network knowledge.

e.g. Kodi reports -> could not connect to "127.0.0.1:57342"

This is the plugins webservice (proxy). Is it up? If yes, can you open the URL via browser. -> http://127.0.0.1:57342/p-ae743a65719d4773aad4476b02368bb7-93

(assuming you use a PC)

However, Kodi log clearly reports a network problem and this is not an easy to track. It also almost impossible to help, cause this is not directly related to the plugin.

The logs only reports the "side effects".

Try to find a pattern. e.g. check the Emby server via permanent background ping, such things.

Could be also a wrong db record. Do you know what kind of content you played? Maybe it was a trailer?

I changed "v" to "T" in one of the previous versions.

I reviewed the code again. the upper case "V" is correct, not sure the the content id "v" comes from. As mentioned, to you know the content you played?

Probably it comes from an older database which was not re-synced after version upgrade?

I am on next gen ver 7.7.5 was on 7.7.6 but the library scans kept freezing up so I reverted back and all is ok. One question I do have for u is all my libraries sync fine. The only library I have a prob with is my 4K Library. After I install I gotta hit repair library everytime I add a new movie otherwise it never gets picked up and show in my recently added movies.
