  1. Hi, So I have a category for sports. I dont have it listed on the home page, only as a top menu item. I built the library originally as a separate movie section and called it sports (TMDB has the metadata for it). But then I noticed new sporting events were being listed under new movie releases. So I rebuilt the library as mixed category. Still the same outcome, new UFC/MMA events show up under "new movie releases". These are separate libraries and prefer sports not to be mixed in with movies. I assumed creating a mixed library would fix this but to no avail. Is there a way to keep them out of new movie releases as they arent movies, nor in my movie collection? Thanks, Damien
  2. I have recently been trying to setup a Pro Wrestling library in Emby. Before I started setting things up, I did some forum research to see the best library type for this purpose and this thread (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/68025-folder-structure-being-recognized-as-series/) indicated either a Mixed Content library or Home Video library would likely be the best. I opted for the Mixed Content type. By its nature, Pro Wrestling is generally a mix of three content types: Weekly episodic TV series, each spread across multiple years of "seasons" (e.g. WWE Raw, WCW Nitro, etc.), obviously best thought of as TV Series. Periodic PPV events that are each best thought of as individual Movies (e.g. WrestleMania I, WrestleMania II, Royal Rumble 1989, etc). Retail compilation tapes, documentaries, etc that are also best thought of as Movies. I made sure to structure all of my files and folders into a structure that conformed to the Emby naming conventions. For each of the various wrestling TV series, I named them in accordance with Emby's TV naming conventions, like this --> Show Name (debut year) / Season 1 / Show Name - S01E01 - [Episode Name & Info]. For the PPV events and other items, I followed Emby's complex folder structure Movie naming conventions, like this --> WWF / PPV Events / WrestleMania / WrestleMania 2 (1986) / WrestleMania 2 (1986) - [version denotation, e.g. "720p"].mkv My desired outcome in Emby looks like this: Pro Wrestling (library)WWF/WWE (folder)Monday Night Raw (type: TV Series)Season 1 (1993) Season 2 (1994) ... PPV Events (folder)WrestleMania (folder)WrestleMania I (type: Movie) WrestleMania II (type: Movie) ... Royal Rumble (folder)Royal Rumble 1988 (type: Movie) Royal Rumble 1989 (type: Movie) ... In Your House (folder)In Your House 1 (type: Movie) In Your House 2 (type: Movie) ... Documentaries (folder)Beyond the Mat (type: Movie) ... For the most part, this is working. However, I am having particular problems with the "In Your House" folder that I highlighted in red above. Emby is detecting the organizational folder "In Your House" as a TV Series and then each of the individual PPV events within as an individual episode. I can't for the life of my figure out why - as my "In Your House" folder structure is exactly the same as my WrestleMania folder structure (which is working perfectly as intended) - see below: My "In Your House" folder strucure: My "WrestleMania" folder structure: I initially thought the root of the problem might have been that TVDB lists "In Your House" as a TV Series (https://www.thetvdb.com/series/wwe-in-your-house), however it looks like TVDB also lists WrestleMania as a TV Series (https://www.thetvdb.com/series/wrestlemania) but WrestleMania (and all the other PPV events) is working as-intended for me. Since, thus far, the issue has been limited to the In Your House events, I'm fine with just manually entering in all of the metadata for each of the 27 individual In Your House events as a work-around... however I can't seem to get Emby to "forget" the association that it has of my "In Your House" folder as a TV Series. I've tried creating a brand new folder with a completely different name and then dumping all of the In Your House events into that, but then Emby immediately recognizes THAT folder as the In Your House "tv series" and I'm right back where I started. Is there any way to force Emby's Mixed Content library to treat a given folder as simply an organizational folder so that it ignores attempting to identify it? Or, better yet, a way to tell Emby whether each folder is 1) an organizational folder, 2) a TV Series type, or 3) a Movie type? Or perhaps I'm just missing something simple. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for all the work on this great app! @@Happy2Play @@cayars
  3. Mixed content does not have a default screen option, it keeps defaulting to folders but i want TV 2 (mixed content) to default to shows. actually i would like to choose to default to shows or movies.
  4. Hi, I have set up a mixed content folder and now try to manually correct the incorrect data. However, it is not possible to change a wrong identified tv show to a movie based on the ID, because the ID will only select tv. Can this be changed?
  5. Currently i have 4 libraries in total of which 2 are Mixed Content Library ( Anime and Documentary ). Both of these mixed content libraries are having some issue in displaying items in the latest Section where its displaying only 1,2 items for some reason . Movie and Tv based library on other hand is totally fine and shows 15,16 items normally I have attached 3 screenshots showing that both these libraries have only 1,2 items in latest section and their My Media content is large enough to display 15-16 items maximum like it is doing for Movie and TV based library
  6. I've deleted and re-added my TV shows library and each time, Emby changes it to "Mixed Content" instead of TV shows. Is there a reason for this or do I have a setting dictating this?
  7. Hi, One of my libraries is for music video content. I have it set as a "mixed content" library type. It contains mp4 (or other video type) DVD rips, TV downloads and video from other sources such as YouTube, etc. If the content is a single file of a single item, it is in the Music Video directory. If there is multiple pieces of content associated with an artist then I have created a directory for that artist and included all of the associated content in that directory. If the content is a film rip with extras then that is in yet another sub-directory. Here is an example: F:\Music Videos\Eagles - Hell Freezes Over.mp4 F:\Music Videos\Grateful Dead\So Far (1987) - Grateful Dead.mpg F:\Music Videos\Grateful Dead\View From the Vault II\View From the Vault II - RFK Stadium, Wash DC - June 14, 1991.mp4 F:\Music Videos\Grateful Dead\View From the Vault II\Extras\Liberty - DVD Extra.mp4 All is working fine. But, I recently added two items that are very long videos and hence are cut into parts. Those are the following: LIVE AID F:\Music Videos\Live Aid\Live Aid-pt1.mp4 F:\Music Videos\Live Aid\Live Aid-pt2.mp4 F:\Music Videos\Live Aid\Live Aid-pt3.mp4 F:\Music Videos\Live Aid\Live Aid-pt4.mp4 AND Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 1995 F:\Music Videos\1995 Concert for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - pt1.m4v F:\Music Videos\1995 Concert for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - pt2.m4v F:\Music Videos\1995 Concert for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - pt3.m4v F:\Music Videos\1995 Concert for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - pt4.m4v The issue that I am having is that Emby is not displaying all of the parts for each of Live Aid and R&R Concert. Live Aid shows as a directory on the home page of the Music Video Library and when I click through, it only shows two of the parts as shown below (the "Live Aid 1985" is Live AID\Live Aid-pt2.m4v The Rock and Roll Concert is also a directory on the Music Video home page and when I click through it only shows 3 of the 4 parts as shown below. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong and what I should do to fix this? Thanks, I appreciate the help. Bruce
  8. This may be down to my file structure, but thought I would check if I was missing something. I have a WWE library (Mixed Content), containing weekly shows and PPV's. Weekly shows are being treated by cover art, but PPV's are only being treated at DVD level, not folder levels File structure for PPV's: PPV (folder) > WWE Royal Rumble (folder) > WWE Royal Rumble 2020 (2020) (folder containing video file) The folders (PPV, WWE Royal Rumble) are not being treated, but WWE Royal Rumble 2020 (2020) is being treated. I have set folder treatment in cover art, so thought it would work
  9. @@Luke I am running version 4.0.1.0 and I have no complaints but before updating would you please be so kind to enlarge on the release note "Various fixes for mixed content detection" Since I converted all my content = movies to content = mixed will this change effect the nested movie folders detection? Also since my Documentary library has movies and TV shows in them again will this change effect the detection.

    Mixed Folder Conundrum

Hi Guys, I am struggling a little with something. Previously I had a catch-all folder for documentaries (movies & series). I would just have a "movie Title (year)" folder for each movie and a "series title" folder for each series in said folder. Suddenly it would not add series anymore, nor recognize episodes in my auto organize folder. This was mixed content. So I tried emptying the folder, removing it from the library, re-scanning and adding all the stuff again. Once again all of the movie-type documentaries were recognised and scraped automatically, but the series were not. In order to remedy this, I have created two separate folders: Documovies/ Movie 1 (year)/ Movie 2 (year)/ etc.. TV Documentaries/ TEDTalks/ BBC Documentaries/ etc.. Instead of using mixed content, I now have each set to the relevant type (Movies/TV). However this is really messing with my OCD as I now have two sections in the emby web frontend containing documentaries. SO, can I group these somehow and only display "Documentaries" as the "folder"? Also another issue I have is that with BBC Documentaries, for instance, I only have a few interesting episodes but the display shows every single season and every single episode. That equates to thousands of episodes clogging up my front-end when I maybe only have 10 or so. For my normal TV series I have set it to show me missing and unaired episodes so that I can keep track of such, but it really isn't necessary for the documentaries. Is there any way that I can enable/disable this at the folder level?

    Home Videos/Unmatched Content in Kodi

I know that Home Videos are still on the todo list and I only recently noticed that they were even missing from Kodi; however, I'm wondering if it could be troublesome to add the SMB share directly to kodi for my "Random Episodes" folder? My only concern is Kodi then controlling a portion of the database and possibly corrupting something if both Kodi and the Emby addon were attempting access at the same time. The folder only contains episodes for which there is no information or I just have a couple random episodes and don't want to create a separate folder for it (like random Dateline episodes or DIY shows) Is there a more elegant way to add this to Emby and have it show up in Kodi that I'm not thinking of? If I set the content of this folder to TV Shows, will it show up in Kodi?
  13. Hi, I have a few folders set up for mixed content in the hope the content won't show up in my TV or Movies sections of the system. i have a documentary section for some of the one off documentaries that I have that aren't in a series format, a Concerts and Music documentary section and a stand up comedy section. Most of these are on the IMDB and I have filled in the IMDB number on the metadata manager and it has found the metadata, the only problem is now my movies section is full of documentaries even though the content is set as inherit. Should this happen? I would love it if only what is set as a movie is in the movie section and use folder view to get to the other content.
