I have Emby Server running on a Windows 10 computer with an HDHomeRun Prime tuner on my LAN. Invariably, when I use my phone to watch live tv (even briefly) with a WIFI connection to the LAN, the HDHomeRun tuner doesn't release when I'm finished. Android apps have always had a nasty habit of hanging around when they are no longer being used actively. On my phone, I've tried closing the app using "close all" but the tuner is not released. I've also tried doing a "force stop" of the app and that doesn't release the tuner either. I've only found two ways to release the tuner and neither are an acceptable solution: 1) turn the HDHomeRun tuner off and back on, or 2) stop and restart the Emby Server in Windows. This is problematic if I happen to be recording live tv on another tuner. Is there an easy way in Emby Server to identify and "kill" the android client connection to release the tuner?

I just finished installing Emby server on my Raspberry Pi 3 using the guide here. Everything seems to work great, except I can't get anything to play when using my Android client. Server log is attached. I don't think it is a problem with the Android client, as I can get it to work when using my old server. I'm guessing I have done something wrong in setting up my new RPI3 server. Thanks for the help. server-63615369600.txt

Hi, I have two android clients, both same app version and same user connected to same server and both on the same lan network When in client #1 on the "connect to device" icon on top right side i select the other android client #2 ( like it shows in the attached image ) and after this i push the playback button, it does not happen anything in both devices, no error message, no nothing, I suppose that in the client #2 the movie must playback Is it correct? or that option does not work in that manner Thank you Regards

Hi, Great work on the android client, I have it installed on my nexus 7 2013 setup to use MX player as an external player. This works flawlessly with mkv files. However I would love to be able to play wtv (Windows Media Center) recordings from the recorded tv folder. MX Player plays this files fine when stored locally. For Ref these wtv files are UK Freeview SD and HD recordings in the following formats SD = mpeg2 HD = H.264 lev 4 with AAC-in-LATM audio When I ask media browser to play them and choose MX Player I get a file cannot be played type error, I also get the same sort of error in VLC. Interestingly when I hack around with the URL that media browser generates and change ../steam.wtv to ../steam.mkv, MX Player and VLC actually start playing the file. Although no audio sadly. This could be a MX Player or VLC bug but it seems odd that wtv can be played locally and nearly work when I change the extension in the url. Anyone get any tips on how to get this to work? I don't really want to go done the transcoding route when I know the nexus can play them in the original format.
