Hi. I have the same issue. Downloaded content does not sync its watched- and progress-state with the server anymore. It was working fine with server version 4.7, but as far as I can tell has stopped working with 4.8. The symptoms are as described above: there is no progress bar for downloaded content, and it does not change even if i watch a few minutes. Note that I'm never offline when watching downloaded content, just with a slow connection. I use the Emby for Android 3.3.86 on a Pixel 8 Pro with Android 14. The server has 4.8.6.0 installed. Ok new update, I can play things just fine on my phone, but on different devices on the same network it does not work. I though maybe it was a profile issue so I had them switch to my account to test but I was still getting this error.

hi i have my emby set up so fast forward is 30s and rewind is 10s in the settings. previously clicking right or left would fast forward or rewind based on those preset values. but i think it was changed recently. manually clicking the buttons in the OSD for emby theater follows the same preset fast forward/rewind rates, but clicking the left and right buttons only skips back and forth by 10s no matter what the settings are set to. is it possible to adjust this back? its annoying to hit right 9x instead of 3x to skip intros. ive tried most basic troubleshooting stuff

To follow up on my thought of the extraction task addressing the missing chapters after a failure, I renamed the file again, and removed all chapters up to the failure point. Running the extraction, all of these formerly failing chapter images are created, and the task finishes. While doing hat, the emby application hovered around 500MB RAM and 25% CPU, according to the TrueNAS application dashboard. Log attached. My channel list is fully corrupted now it seems - I cannot move a channel without my whole list getting in a random order. Would be great if anyone had any suggestion. So far, only starting again from a clean install seems to be an option, and I really want to avoid that. Thanks in advance!

It seems we might not be talking about the same feature. If you're familiar with Plex, you'd know that it allows a user, with mutual authorization, to mount their friend's music collection to their own Emby Server. This process requires authorization from both parties. Has there been any consideration of adding this feature to future development plans? If so, I believe it would make Emby even more appealing as it offers greater freedom and meets the needs of many users. It would also be great to see a survey or poll conducted on this feature.

I've had the same problem too since December, however I'm facing the same problem with 4k content too the last update. The problem always occurs when ffmpeg is the render instead of MediaCodec Please fix it asap.

No I mean in user permissions, your emby user needs to be granted access to share playlists with other users. When this is granted, then the context menu for a playlist will have a menu option called "manage collaboration".

"Crash" actually a freeze on shutdown could happen, yes. This is not unique to the new version. It should still work when you kill Kodi and restart. Also Kodi will kill itself but can take minutes (timeouts). Actually Kodi should kill itself after 5 seconds, but this is not (always) working (Kodi bug). I'm still looking for this issue and I made several improvements in the last versions but still haven't found all of them. I continue my review, anyway it should not be a showstopper. A forced restart should solve the issue. Also I'm not even sure the shutdown issues comes from e4k plugin. Also other plugins could hang on shutdown. e.g. such things are also not good. Actually this isn't true. None of those are used to established the list of artists/albumartists/composers. Those come from the raw, name-based fields. The mbz tags are only used to add metadata later to what was already imported via the name tags.
