While waiting for answers, I've continued to attempt workarounds for this. I created a shell script ("ffmpeg-shell") that reads in the ffmpeg parameters, injects the max_muxing parameter, and calls the real emby-server ffmpeg with the new parameter list. I changed the emby setting so it calls the ffmpeg shell script instead of ffmpeg itself). Unfortunately, that did not work. In the emby log, I see a call to /opt/emby-server/bin/ffrmpeg-shell and all the parameters, but the shell script appears to never run. I went so far as to only have one line in the shell script: "echo "foo" > /tmp/foo.txt". The file never appeared in /tmp. Looking forward to hearing from @Lukeor @softworkzabout the ffmpeg issue I'm seeing and any more permanent fixes.

i have and use tags bro but you dont understand my question.... my question is. Is there a plugin that separates the films from the movies library, for other groups netflix, amazon etc.. which means it automatically detects if the movie is Netflix, Amazon or others...

@TheITJedi I shall patiently await your convenience. I am perfectly capable of logging into my server in the same, other ways that I have been since before MB became Emby, LOL. No rush. I just recently discovered my summer has opened up immensely and am trying to tackle some of those "projects from the list", you know, the list we all have going on in the back of our minds for if we ever have the time.

I have a similar setup and reported this same issue many months ago, but no resolution from Emby devs.

Hi, Well I just had to redo my Music Library on QNAP Version 4.8.7.0 and there is still no Artist Sort Title field imported from either MusicBrainz or the NFO files I have from my previous server. Disappointing and annoying having to do it all again. Regards, Gary.

I just want to commend on my previous statement about short cummings, in regard to search for people. I have found a way to search for all people. Example "A***" will search for all people with A in first name or surname. But a search like "A**" will only provise 50 people. Not sure if this is a bug or by design. Since I guess a search "A" , "A*" or "A**" could borg down the server.

Hey guys, I have been streaming IPTV using an M3U8 file for several months through Emby on my various Rokus in my home. Recently I have been having a problem on occasion where the stream starts to load, gets to about 26% to 33% then resets. When I look on the dashboard it shows me watching the channel for a few seconds then closes. I have tried restarting Emby Server and my Roku several times with no improvement. I also tried playing this my iOS app on my phone with the same results I can, however, play this same channel through the Emby web interface on my computer with no issues so I assume the stream is operating correctly. I am attaching the server log and to FFMPEG where I tried the Roku and Phone. Some services might block connections coming from VPN exit points. Reverse proxies handle inbound connections, not outbound unless you've done something out of the ordinary. Are you rebooting after making the changes to Nord VPN settings?

I honestly don't remember how many times it happened when I watch that particular movie. But I can tell you what happens repeatedly with plenty of my files. It happens without pausing regularly. But when I do pause, 99% of the time I will experience this issue.

Yes, exacly. I would add the download locations as multiple sources, where the external drives would be. When downloading a show or a movie, I would add the location as an option and select one of the possible locations. There I would be able to select the external drive or the internal drive, as I prefer. Some content I'm now watching I want to add it internally, but some content I will want to see later, like when I'm travelling, I prefer it to be on an external drive. I believe that would be a great feature! Thank you very much!

How are you all watching sports? Unlike TV shows, sports programming frequently end AFTER the specified time in the channel guide. I have been doing this Manually select the game I want to record After I hit record, I go into the the settings and enter a value for "Stop when possible" -- I usually put 40 mins which will get most overtimes (unless it goes double overtime). If you don't pad the sports "episode" and rely on channel data you WILL miss the final minutes of the majority of games. Most games (basketball, hockey, football) run at least a few minutes over the scheduled time in the Channel guides. I think the sports recording user experience with Emby would be improved if: We had way to check a box, or otherwise tag arecording, as Live or Live Sports to automatically pad the "episodes" -- ideally this option will be available the same time (i.e. before) I click the "Record" button, so I don't have to pad each episode manually, after setting it to record This could have the added benefit of making a smart "sports" library available under recent recordings etc, since it would already be tagged... Alternatively, I would be very happy with a process where I could just select Channel Start Time End Time (or better yet, Duration) If Emby already supports this (pick channel and start time, instead of using the channel guide) I don't know how to use it. The sports teams I usually watch move from channel to channel. My game might be ABC today, TNT tomorrow, and ESPN on Sunday. Sometimes (during the playoffs) I have the option of recording either the national game or the local cable network version of the game. I use the HDHR Prime with the CableCard to pull in my cable networks.

Here I detect an error in log file : But I don't understand what it mean. I had try 5 different location including (/share/Public) but it's always the same result. EDIT (& SOLUCE) ! The path was not the problem. So it's more simple to keep the same path then "/volume0/usr/builtin/etc/certificate/ssl.pfx" After generating the pfx file, you just need to execute "chmod 644 ssl.pfx" and restart emby server So happy, all works well now !
