This is just a side effect.

This version worked fine, I checked several tvshows and it gathered the files and kept the posters correctly.

Kodi Log --> kodi.log

Thanks for the great help and patience, I think with this we will contribute to the community.

@quickmic

Thanks, beside the tv-sync is horribly slow now, I'm working on it...

kodi.log  plugin.video.emby-next-gen-6.0.3-build 89 (ex14)

I just ran it, see if it got better. Now since it finds them all correctly, it may be slower than I was used to.

Unfortunately Kodi or EmbyForKodi breaks during SERIES Sync with version 6.0.3 build 100 (ex15).

When restarting it wants to continue the sync, but even then it breaks off at the same point.

Attached is a Kodi debug log.

@all, seems there is a sync issue for virtual episodes. e.g. E01E02 - Title.mkv

I'll fix it in next version.

Watched a movie tonight and I noticed that Kodi wasn’t reporting playback to Emby. Now that I’m aware,  I don’t believe it is reporting playback at all.

it does seem to mark it played after it finished though.

logs attached.

Please elaborate what is not reported? Progress, playcount not reported at all, not visible in Emby server dashboard?

Log looks good, my tests went well. Anyway, I'll doublecheck.

Sorry Mic. While playing the movie in Kodi, it wasn’t showing on the Dashboard at all.

Just some times it appears. I’m watching a show right now and it’s showing in the dashboard as expected.

Don't use manual Boxsync, it will break the sets (initial sync is fine). I'll fix it in next version.

Once again, latest experimental version has a problem with Kodi 18 🙄

Will be fixed in next update.

Hi @quickmic

After being inactive for a while about the distributed TV shows issue, since @wanderjarra was reporting test results similar to mine, I'm back with some feedback.
First of all, thank you for what you did. Most of the distributed TV shows are fine now, thanks to your recent fixes 😀 (since 6.0.3 build 100 (ex15) I think).

Right now, I'm using 6.0.3 build 141 (ex20), and I still have one small issue, which is probably an edge:
A show that has a season split in 2 different locations.

/media
    /anime
        /Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken
            /Season 0
            /Season 1
            /Season 2
                (contains first part of S2, episodes 1 to 12)
    /anime-airing
        /Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken
            /Season 2
                (contains second part of S2, episodes 13 and more, currently airing)

Here's a kodi.log from a run on a test environment.
(Clean install of Kodi > Installed the add-on > Noticed a sync issue > Reset kodi database & plugin settings > Get the log from the complete sync of my Anime library)

I noticed something strange: on that Windows test environment it breaks the sync process, but on my Nvidia Shield the sync seems to continue (and the second half of that Season 2 is just ignored).

I hope that this is detailed enough to help you understand the issue.

Mine is resolved for now.

The structure of mine is separated at most for Season,

HDD1/TVShow/Arrow/Season 1

HDD2/TVShow/Arrow/Season 2

I've never tested it with episodes separated into 2 parts like yours.

Let's see if @quickmic can do some magic.

Thanks for reporting, yes that's a bug. I'll fix it...

btw, The bug (theoretically) only affects realtime (new content) updates from Emby server, not initial or Kodi start syncs.

That would explain why on my Shield the dB isn't updated without a Kodi restart. On that device Kodi is always on. Just noticed that yesterday.
