It's having a problem unzipping the file the srt file is in.  The author will need to have a look.

Unfortunately 2+ years later and one still has to manually download it instead of going to plugins and adding it from there.

According to the rules of the Subscene site, no one is allowed to create a tool to download subtitles from this site. The site also does not create an Api to receive subtitles. For this reason, it is not possible to place this plugin in the official emby store. 😐

well that does make it more difficult, I truly appreciate the effort that has gone into making this as subscene is one of the better sites. thank you to the developer for this plug-in

"Emby.Subtitle.Subscene" ver 2.2.7 working ok on my newest EMBY Beta server, but decompressed subtitle to .rt, not .srt. you can see the log below?

Emby Manual Subtitle Downloads :

Some people actually don't complete these steps and that's why we write guides, and that's why we ask questions as part of the troubleshooting process.

I would suggest providing a server log for the developer to review.

Hi , which version of emby you are on ?

 

This plugin also dosent work for me but I'm on emby latest beta version and i use sub2fm plugin and it work for me.

im using Version 4.7.6.0 and tried 4.8.0.0 Beta on Windows 11.

I tried using Subscene plugin and subf2m plugins. no luck.

I guess I'll just stick to the old manual way.

I think sub2fm plugin sometimes have server issues due to the source failure,  sometimes is work sometimes not , if you using firewall on the router just put the sub2dm.co on the whitelist . It was stopped working for me recently and after I put it on whitelist works again , but as I said the source still have some problem recently. 

 

Hopefully orginal subscence plugin get fix.
