NikeSwe 65
I'm unclear on the countries honeybee has data for. Do you know? How long ago did you test them? A couple of months ago. I also talked to him via e-mail about the problems. Don't know if we came to any conclusion or if he has done some changes since then. I want rich data in swedish ONLY, with good graphicz. The channel logos is not as good as the ones from SD. Edited December 2, 2018 by NikeSwe
garyan2 53
EDIT: I think I get it. I just use the "XML TV" guide option and then point to the XML file created by epg123. Right? That is correct. Just enable the XMLTV option and it will be located in the \output folder. If you install in the default location, that would be "C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output\epg123.xmltv"... otherwise it will be based on your installation folder "[epg123]\output\epg123.xmltv". NikeSwe 65
Is that function free or does it require vip? You need VIP to be able to export XMLTV-data automatically and then use the link in Emby, byt that data has some work that need to be done. They also have som type of VIP but for commercial customers. But as I said, the data is not as nice as SD and had some big problems when i tried 3 months go, but talk to him. You have PM! jasonmcroy 315
My only question to @@Luke is whether or not using GN guide will present a problem to those of us that are subscribed to Silicondust's Premium TV? I know this was/is and issue with Plex because the Premium TV channels have different East and West coast feeds depending on where you live. Do you have a plan for this one? I know that Silicondust has it worked out and the guys over at getchannels have it worked out and they both use the GN guide data so there has to be something they do that handles this issue. Plex never implemented a solution as far as I know (although I haven't had anything to do with them in a few months now...). Anyway, just bringing it up as something to think about because I am very interested in trying out the Emby DVR again when you get this in the Beta channel to see if it really handles my issue regarding the images displayed when scheduling recordings. rikiwi 32
We have not looked into every country yet so please feel free to suggest guide data providers that you know of for your country, either here or you can PM us. Then we can look into whether or not integration would be possible. In New Zealand we have EPGCollector that can create an XMLTV file. I have used it in conjunction with NextPVR (also a New Zealand app)At the moment I'm just using NextPVR to provide data for Emby and its pretty good. Although I don't get any info concerning repeats. adamstewiegreen 147
Gracenote is available for Australia, and has improved a lot in the last 2 years!! (especially for us rural folk) Please don't use IceTV (I'm assuming their parent company YUVU would be similar) - their metadata and posters leave a lot to be desired.
cbdudek 15
This is great news! The only bummer about this is that I just renewed my Schedules Direct subscription another year. It didn't expire for another week, but I wanted to make sure I was covered. Oh well. Keep up the good work!
Bamit 8
For all those concerned about losing SD, just use epg123 and use the output xml in Emby. Easy solution for those with SD and want to stay there. I do it now and it works great. As an add-on to your suggestion, Another option (which is what I use with NextPVR) is to use the data from Zap2it. The NextPVR plugin handles it very nicely.
dcol 165
TIA. Looking at epg123 right now but need to know where to pipe the resulting XML data. EDIT: I think I get it. I just use the "XML TV" guide option and then point to the XML file created by epg123. Right? If you run epg123 from same computer, it makes it easy. Just point the Emby 'TV Guide Data Providers' to \epg123\output\epg123.xmltv. Simple You can setup all the SD guide data in epg123 and customize it to your liking. You can even edit the SD lineups. Then setup the schedule so Emby updates the LiveTV after epg123 does its daily update. If you do not have WMC, just ignore the first error message when starting epg123 Best of all is epg123 is free. http://epg123.garyan2.net/downloads/epg123Setup_v1.2.6.0.zip This will eliminate the need to abandon SD while Emby changes over and SD drops their API. Another plus is epg123 handles the renaming and fixes Emby's naming process on shows, which I hope is fixed in the update. I also use the same xmltv generated by epg123 in NextPVR. Here is a screenshot of my settings Edited December 3, 2018 by dcol
Sammy 738
When switching guide providers, yes.Can you maybe get with @@garyan2 and work out the code to make the transition easy. He figured it out to go from MS/Rovi to SD and I bet this is easier.. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
Sammy 738
About 60 I think. The market has over 100 available Edit: not only Swedish channels but foreign channels mostly in english too. With Swedish epg and for the Swedish (and Nordic) market. Like all Discovery channels, Fox, MTV and so on. The free to view channels are not many and iptv is not easily available without special solutions and quite limiting so the market is smaller that way Can epg123 resolve this issue by creating an xmltv file for you to import into Emby? Sammy 738
Really? Sorry as an American I am only expected to understand basic concepts of government. I have no idea exactly how yours works. This has lead to an excellent two party system where we are constantly given the choice to only vote against our self-interests. This is often referred to as "the lesser of two evils". I was only trying to make light of the situation as your country is often the example of the horrors that can happen if you let socialism get out of control. Personally, I am not for socialism but find endless humor in the assumption then that our system is without it's warts. Sweden is not socialism. It is a social democracy. Sammy 738
Note on epg123.. SchedulesDirect may get in a position to force epg123 to not generate an xmltv as the special Plex xmltv code was removed for similar reasons. Just a thought. @@garyan2 probably knows more.. dcol 165
Doubt it. epg123 is not a media center. If SD does that they may as well remove all JSON and just cease business.
