Error attempting to update application Directory Not found Could not find a part of the path. The issue im seeing is its looking for C:\Users\HTPC\AppData\Roaming\System\MediaBrowser.Updater.exe And the path to the updater should be C:\Users\HTPC\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Theater\System\MediaBrowser.Updater.exe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Edit-Actually nevermind, took a chance and didnt appear to loose any settings. Edit Again-Actually its back so i guess it means to fix it I need to do complete uninstall of media browser theater, then a complete reinstall which will remove all settings.... Ghostm 74 Posted January 22, 2014 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Just to clarify for anyone else, what I tried to do was turn off the server, and when that happens it asks to install and setup mbt again, that did not work. When I configure MBT to play 3D files without any file type selected, it plays all files in the internal player. when I select MP4 and 3D, it play all MP4 files in TMT including non 3D MBC allows for configuration to play only 3D MP4 files in the external player. I'm glad to see some search functionality in MBT I find one issue though, is the fact that it's still hard (In some cases impossible) to get up to the top right corner without using a mouse. It's completely inaccessible from the EHS with just a remote. Also, I like the wealth of information the new search feature brings you, and I believe this will be a very useful feature once it's completely polished. But I also enjoyed the "snappiness", and simplicity of using triple-tap, or keyboard search while searching through titles. If you are trying to stay away from such search devices, and keeping things more "visual", some sort of on-screen search (similar to the one just implemented) would be nice to have available for searching individual collections, to keep it simple. I posted an (extremely) rough image of how such an on-screen search could be utilized, a little ways back on this thread. I think keeping the "search bar" on the screen while browsing collections would really aid in how quickly users figure out how to use it, and the fact they can already see it, takes the guess work out of whether they find it at all or not. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

All the user would have to do to search the current collection would be to scroll down with the remote to get to the "search bar", and select the letter they would like to browse to. Also, on either side would be chevrons for skipping through the collection faster. (After doing the mock-up, I realized the chevrons would work better if they were separate from the alphabetical search bar, so they could be used more efficiently.) Skipping to a location within the scroll viewer is something very different to the new search feature, but it is something I would expect to see implemented eventually. I would like to be able to set the local cache for the images and metadata to a small SSD to speed up browsing.
