Trevor68 48
I think I have it now, looks like it ran and built a (zero) list when the paths were incorrect, I just had to use the refresh setting after correcting the paths.
lorac 100
I like this plugin but it has an annoying tendency to reset itself from time to time which is what I believe leaves to the media titles with the HD 1080P AVC... I know I reconfigured it not just two days ago and today it's been reset.

When the plugin runs it actually sets this setting to use "Embedded Titles" so i can't see why this would happen. Also this only works with MKV containers.
rbjtech 4312
Also to add, this plugin changes the actual MKV headers (track titles) - so worth looking at it via mediaInfo itself to see if it's track titles have been changed - if they haven't, then the problem is squarely with emby somewhere .. if they have, then perhaps they have been overwritten/re-acquired. Because the plugin keeps track of what it has changed (by Itemid), it won't attempt that item again - so you need to force it using the 're-process' option within the plugin.
Trevor68 48
Just a note that the plugin never changed that setting here, I did it manually.
lorac 100
No i mean that the plugin configuration (essentially the xml file) gets reset. The paths to all the exe files revert to blank as well as any settings. Basically what you'd see when you first launch it. I believe the processed list remains intact as the file had over 20K entries. new 6.txt

mbguy 38
Hi, I am on latest release version 1.0.1.10 and having an issue of the "Advanced media Information" progress bar in "Scheduled Tasks" stuck at 0% It's strange because the first it ran, it went all the way to 67.9% and got stuck there. I tried stopping and starting it manually but it just wouldn't move past 67.9%. So I restarted Emby Server and windows hoping to solve the issue, but now it won't even move past 0.0%. If I stopped it manually, the status would just be stuck in "Stopping" forever. I know it can't be the paths because many of my titles are showing the new advanced media info as I configured, but many titles are still left unchanged. I did a "Scan media library" and it went to 100% without issues so I don't think it's a library issue. Anything else I can try to fix this? What are the recommended next steps? Thanks. rbjtech 4312
Agreed - think we may need to update the Wiki ? https://github.com/Cheesegeezer/MediaInfoWiki/wiki Specifically - https://github.com/Cheesegeezer/MediaInfoWiki/wiki/Various-OS-Installation-Help#4-linux Let us know if that helps - if not, we can reach out for more Linux assistance - as it's a 'Linux OS/Permissions' issue rather a plugin issue. Andy2k 60
Hi, not sure what you changed, but this version is now completely broken under linux (Ubuntu 22.04, Server Version 4.8.0.15 beta). Also i think i discovered another bug: I got some movies with a default languages on the video-track, show below: These files was playable with emby, vlc,...before processing. Processing these files with the plugin resulted in an really really destroyed mkv, not playable anymore and mkvtoolnix does not show a video track anymore. Changing the video-track language to "undefined" (clearing it) and remuxing it was the "solution" for me, after this the plugin did his job as intended. Andy2k 60
@bill_w In the time i started with the Media Info Plugin i got myself a handfull files with Code 2. I retested these with VLC and MKVToolnix and found out these files was corrupted in different ways. Some are not even playable, others was playable, but chapter skipping or fast forward / fast rewind does not worked on these files. It seems something went wrong during muxing in my case. bill_w 1
@Andy2k That was a useful clue. I forgot that, at least in this example, this was a two part movie that I joined with mkvmerge. You can see that under Writing application. And it appears to me that it didn't fix the chapters when it merged them - it just added one set after the other. I rarely use chapters, so I've never noticed. The movie otherwise plays just fine. I can rename the streams with mkvtoonix without any complaints. So, I'm curious why this breaks tagging the streams. Is there something in here that reveals the problem? The plugin doesn’t touch or remux any video or audio streams it simply writes a header to the the title field. can you share a mediaInfo json output for an example and also debug log when you run the task. revert back to previous version in catalog if you want. This version simply added multiversion support and it was tested on about 30K episodes and movies with multiversions. ill pull 1.0.14 from the catalog
