Hi. I have 4 profiles set up on my Emby Windows Server. There is a drive with a lot of media folders. One folder in particular along with it's subfolders, i would like to have excluded from 3 of the 4 profiles. I can't figure out how to get the folders to appear in just 1 profile. It seems, that it appears in all profiles. I do not want to exclude the entire drive, just the one set of folders with it's subfolders. Please advise on what i'm missing. Thanks T

Hi All I am trying to move my media from Plex to Emby But I am struggling to find the "hide" this from everything else? Starting with the dashboard, how do I exclude a media folder from the dashboard? And is there anyway to also exclude the folder to associate from "More like this" ? The above setting actually does both in Plex, never have to worry about in appropriate being listed unless you go to that specific genre be it Erotic og ZombieSpashgoremovies... I have read some post about this but havent found any solutions? Again thanks for your help really trying to get this working

I think it would be great to be able to excude artist in Music. The main reason is for soundtracks. I want the metadata to still have all the artist so when I play my music the artist shows up, but I don't want those artist to populate in my Artist section. It is messy and annoying. When I go into my NFO file and remove the artist data then set the NFO file to read-only, and lock the data to prevent future changes in the emby server, it still replaces the file and I'm back to square one. Using version 3.5.3.0. Thanks.

This is not a huge deal, but I'm curious if there is any way to remove or exclude a particular movie from showing up in the Recent/Latest lists (including removing it from showing up in these lists via the API)? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Is there a way to turn off missing episodes/seasons entirely? I accidentally turned it on while playing with the settings and now can't find a way to get rid of the folders/episodes showing up throughout my media collection. I think it was in the profile settings, but I never actually hit save after turning those on and both are unchecked now. It's a cool feature, but it's not something I'm interested in at the moment. My media collection isn't all properly named right now so it's making me have episodes 1-24 named properly but "missing" and 1-24 again with the wrong name, but the actual files... Thanks!

It's been asked a lot; can you hide specific media from a users library access? Also, at time of writing this, if you remove a portion of your library from a users access list, 18/Restricted movies for instance, the user may still be able to access that media via Collections (if a movie is part of a collection, and a user doesn't have access to that movie, that can still get to it via the Collection). This guide will show you how to manually hide a collection (or other media) from a specific user via metadata tags and the parental control system built into MediaBrowser 3. 1) Find the collection (or other media) that you want to hide in the web interface. In the picture above, I'm going to hide the Karas collection. Hovering over the collection image, choose to edit the collection. This will take you to the Metadata Manager page. 2) Scrolling down, you can add a tag that you want to use. I've simply used "Nobox" in the image, but it can be anything you want that isn't already being used; so don't use genres unless you want to hide all of a genre from a user. To add the tag, type in your chosen tag, hit the + symbol on the right, and then hit the save button at the bottom or top of the page. Using the same tag, repeat this process for any and all media you want to hide from the user. 3) Now go into your dashboard and hit the Users option from the menu on the left. Pick the user you want to hide the media for and go to the Parental Control tab. 4) Scroll down to the "Block items with tags" option and add the tag you chose earlier. Again, in the picture above that is Nobox. Again, don't forget to hit the save button. 5) Run a library scan from the library page.

I'm not sure if this is possible yet but if yes I can't figured out the easiest way to do it. I have a lot of tv show in my library for the whole family. I also share the library with some friends I get request sometime from sister/brother or friends to add a show they would like to watch but I don't really want to see it in my library. I have no interest in those show and I'm trying to avoid having to create a new folder (library) for just those shows and remove access to myself to this library. The way my setup is done is that all my download from SONARR (nzbdrone) is automatically extracted to my TV folder which after MB take care of the METADATA etc.. I'm trying to find if there's a way to remove the show from MY list without having to click WATCHED/PLAYED icon. If I do that, trakTV will add the show to my traktv.tv list. A neat feature would be to have an icon for "NOT INTERESTED" on the TV show poster. I have the same problem for movie request that I have no interest watching and I like using the filter NOT WATCHED and I have all those movies listed. Thank you for any suggestion and if the only choice is to create another library and movie those tv show and movie in this folder well.. at least I asked

FR: Server - Ability to Selectively Exclude Series from "Missing Episodes"
mboehler posted a topic in General/Windows
Re-requesting this here so it doesn't get lost: I would like to request the ability to selectively exclude series from the missing episodes list. I have some documentary series, like Nova and Horizon that have YEARS of missing episodes. I'd rather not have them displayed in the list along with everything else. Is there a way to do this? Or will there be soon? Thanks!
