I just finish reading the topic that was locked but im in the same boat and have yet to find a solution. In the audio setting if i leave ac3 ticked, WMC is unable to play the video but if i test the same video via graphstudio64 , it plays just fine and bitstreams. If i untick ac3, WMC plays the file but in PCM. Also im having issues with anime. Both the english and jap audio will play at the same time.

That worked. I went to LAV Splitter and typed in eng in the audio box and now it works. Thanks.

I know this doesn't involve MB3, but since it involves my HTPC and this is by far the most helpful forum (of any topic) I've ever been a member on, I thought I'd post it here, in the general discussion. This has been a problem for me ever since I first set up my machine, and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is... First, my setup: HTPC connected to audio receiver (Sony STR-DN610) via HDMI Audio receiver connected to TV (Panasonic 65GT30) via HDMI Have tried with HDAVI both turned on, and off, and I'm getting the same results My issue is, sometimes (seems to happen randomly, as in; not every time I do this) when my TV/Receiver gets turned off, or I change inputs; when I get back to my HTPC input I have the speaker icon with a red "X" on it in the corner and the tooltip displays "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" and I get no audio. This forces me to reset the computer, and since this is my main HTPC (the one that runs the server) it can be a major annoyance, not just for me having to restart my computer, but to anyone else that might happen to be watching anything somewhere else in the house since they lose connection to the server. I figure it's got something to do with the fact that when my receiver turns off or changes inputs, somehow my computer thinks there is no audio device connected, but even when I switch back to the HTPC input the computer doesn't see an audio device has been re-connected. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, or if there is a way for me to fix/work around this problem, since it's quite annoying having to reset my computer 75% of the time I switch to another input (ie. game system, satellite, etc.) Thanks, Patrick

Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported.
pmac posted a topic in Windows & Xbox
Lately I've been having a problem with MBTheater Crashing when I play Movies. It doesn't seem to happen with all movies, but with the vast majority of them, it does. So far, I haven't had any problems with TV shows for whatever reason, and everything seems to play perfectly fine in MBClassic, but with MBT I can hardly seem to get any movies to work, as soon as my intro video finished playing, I get an error saying: "Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported" I just finished uninstalling all of my codecs, etc. (I was using Shark007), I did a fresh installation of LAV filters, as per the tutorial linked from this site, and MBC still seems to work fine, but still having the same problem with MBT not playing movies for me. I've saved my logs from the crash. I believe I started getting this error after that last 1 or 2 updates. Logs: Server Theater Crash EDIT: Also getting THIS error when playing some titles, which causes MBT to crash, and a THIS one when trying to mark certain TV episodes as watched. The latter error doesn't cause a crash, but it forces me to use the web client to mark some episodes as played. -
I was testing a few options of saving audio books (or is it audiobooks) as music or as books. That is for another topic but as I was testing the library structure in the web client, I selected the next/previous track hyperlinks. The next track hyperlink caused it to jump several tracks, never the same, and then selecting the previous hyperlink jumped back a different number of tracks. I tested this on several music albums I have just carefully tagged including multi-disc CDs and got the same results. I will be happy to provide logs and screen shots if needed but it is pretty easy to test. Anybody else seeing this? Thanks, Tanamur Full product details in signature file below...

MBServer: Version 3.0.5083.27698 MBClassic: Version 3.0.100.0 B12-4.1 MBTheater: Not installed PC Server OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 Codecs: Nothing other than installed with Win7 out of the box and MBServer Extender: HP MediaSmart Connect x280n Sorry if this is a bump of my own topic but could someone instruct me how I can go about troubleshooting mp4 audio playback failure on my extender? I am no expert on containers and codecs. From my standpoint, the mp4 files play video & audio in everything locally on my HTPC/laptop including Media Center and MB-Classic. Also, the mp4 files play video & audio with no problem on the extender in the native HP interface both from the local hard disk and network share from the same HPTC/Laptop (so the device can play the video/audio). It is just the playback through Media Center and MB-Classic that fails on the audio portion on the extender. Video works perfectly. ffprobe = Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 124 kb/s (default) I would really appreciate a point in the right direction. I have not started installing codecs when I don't understand most of the settings and the files play fine locally outside of Media Center. Full clean logs are in the other topic. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2583-extender-mbc-audio-in-mp4-container-not-playing/ Thanks, Tanamur

Hi, I searched for this topic and didn't find any results so hopefully this is user error and an easy fix. I was able to successfully get video streaming on my iOS devices tonight, but the audio won't play through the speakers. Audio DOES work through headphones, and also through a bluetooth device (Jambox). Audio works fine from other apps through the iPhone speakers (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc), so I feel pretty comfortable that it's not a phone issue. The issue appears when streaming via wifi or over LTE. Is this expected behavior? I really appreciate any insight anyone can provide. App v1.0 Server v3.0.5061.25570
