Found the error, there is a corrupt folder in Shows. The scanning stops at this corrupt folder. Now the issue is this folder os not getting deleted by the following command. sudo rm -r - f <foldername> Getting input/output error. Nothing to fo with emby. But still have to figure out how to get rid of this corrupt folder

Yeah, I just have to hope Luke can figure it out. But I don't have much hope because this problem has been around for more than two years.

I only have bluray remuxes so they are all in the proper resolution. In your case then yes, the substitution is not performed because of the difference in pixel height if you have a small amount of movies in such resolution, maybe it’s best to download another version or reprocess it… at least until a real solution is found by the devs.

Glad to hear. I haven't found anything negative so far. Unfortunately, I don't know how it can be activated permanently! I was happy that I found the solution and am just waiting for a solution from the Dev Team.

I'm sorry Luc but nothing works. I was delighted to understand that you need 2 applications (server and client) on the Shield but... BUT downloading the apk (the emby server, that's iright) doesn't work. "Nothing happens" when I try to download (browser on the Shield, apk application, ...) Nothing

this seems to fix the problem. Is there a way to activate it every reboot? Does activating this option have any negative impact? Thanks

Exactly as you say, I own about 20 CDs/DTS and I would like to be able to play to them in DTS, without having to insert the CD into the player each time, so any container would do, as long as it lets me listen to them in DTS. Yesterday I tried listening to the WAV file in DTS with Kodi and the amplifier turned on the DTS decoder regularly. If it is not possible with Emby, I'll use KODI for CD/DTS, although I am so sorry because I love Emby. Thank you all for your help and I hope, in the future, this can be remedied so that I can listen to CD/DTS even with the fantastic Emby

Hi, I am using Emby for linux version 4.8.5.0 and the cover image for media libraries cover image disappeared. The images inside the library are fine, everything working well, the problem is just just on the media selection page I already tried: Restart emby Other browsers Other computer Other networks from the client Emby app for windows Emby app for ios Reinstall emby Refresh library (scan) Refresh metadata (search for missing) removed the image as it was showing as a X and repeat the process from beginning of this list Nothing helped

Unfortunately, I have found a new problem. Some of my videos are not the standard 3840X1920 resolution, such as 3840X1636, and I think the black edge was cut when pressing the movie, so the plugin changes will not take effect.

Hi, Yesterday I updated to 4.8.5.0 and after that my subtitles got crazy. 1) Most of time they will not show, besides the stats for nerds say a something about be adding it to the movie, but no subtitles on most of video option 2) Sometimes it will show a very small subtitle on the center left side of the screen * Sometimes it will circle between options 1 and two for the same movie + subtitle if I stop the movie and start again I already tried with multiple combinations of movies file + subtitle file, they were working in a older Emby version but not 4.8.5.0

@BlackDub Try activating these two options. You need the Diagnostic plugin for this, you can activate it there. After that everything was working again for me. You have to set these options again after every restart. - Hope it helps you

I have the same problem, NVIDIA and Intel Qsync, with windows and debian, docker too, the only fix is back to 4.7.x.x

I also want to see Emby get better with regard to audiobooks, but I'm struggling with the fact that they still don't understand the most basic functionality of the most basic audiobook player, given that of all the features they could add in the last 9 months, they only added one for chapter cover art.

I wonder if it's due to the latest version of the server software. I installed the latest version last week. Today I downloaded several episodes for testing and they all got deleted immediately. I played one for a minute, stopped it, then went back to the list of downloaded episodes and they were all gone except for the TV show icon and a Play button. Pressing Play gave me a playback error.

Does the Emby client, when running on a Roku (Streaming Stick 4K if model matters), present an API for external control? I can see many references to a Roku (OS) API but my google foo is failing to find an Emby (client) one. An example use case, on the off chance this is not the only way to come at this problem, is that I will like to trigger an Emby client user profile change from the network.

I've been using server ver 4.6 with bits and pieces of CSS customizations cobbled from this forum. One of the mods I did was removing the options wheel from the right top corner of the screen. I accessed the server options from the left panel when needed. Today, I upgraded the server to the latest version and found that the server options are no longer available in the left panel. Is there a safe mode or similar that will bypass CSS customizations so that I can add the options wheel back in? Or better yet, is there CSS that enables the server options back onto the left panel? Thanks.

It does, a bit. Is the transcoding done on my Macbook or on the Server itself? And how come the file plays just fine when I turn of transcoding?

Hi, Emby community! I would like to introduce EDCM, the Emby Dynamic Collections Manager. This tool is a companion to Emby to automatically create and update Emby Collections based on rule sets. For example, to automatically create a collection for all TV shows from HBO with a rating of 8 and above, the following ruleset can be created: [Highly Rated HBO Series] Type=Series Studios = HBO MinCommunityRating = 8 This will find any library items matching the specified criteria and add them to a collection named 'Highly Rated HBO Series'. If new shows are added to your library that match the requirements, they will to the collection automatically. All rules from the Get Items API endpoint are supported. Currently, EDCM is very much an alpha release, but no calls are made that are dangerous to your library or Emby itself, so I invite you to give it a go and let me know your thoughts. Updated the client to beta 2.1.11g This is not a fix - the problem still exists. I am watching a program while it is recording. If the server stops recording while the client is still watching, then the crash occurs when the client stops watching. There is no crash if the client stops watching while the server is recording. I can confirm that if I do nothing after the crash occurs, eventually the screen goes black and Emby restarts,
