Hi @rbjtech At first I thought that's brilliant solution to reverse split tunneling and enable on for all browsers. Everything seemed working snappier untill I looked into the logsembyserver (1).txtembyserver.txt, there are errors with connection again. Attached please find logs with VPN on and off for some short time. As for your questions: when my Emby Server was on Synology and I was accessing it through emby.mydomain.com (reverse proxy on Synology pointing to localhost: 8096) I was behind NordVPN app 24/7 (with some programs excluded by split tunneling). With VPN turned off Emby can access all services. I guess one more thing I could try is web browser extension instead off standalone Nord app. Got any other ideas on how to connect these two? Maybe my set up (reverse proxy on NAS pointing to Windows Emby Server has something to do with it)?

I know there is used to be a tab to show all actor but since now has no estimate time of pushing out this feature, I wonder can we use wildcard to search and show all actor?

@LukePlease take the time to think about implications of doing things like this without giving options or considering defaults. I do NOT want my tags sorted alphabetically thanks - I specifically add them (via Plugins) in a specific order so they show that way in the item. If you want to add the OPTION of sorting the tags then that's fine - but please make it a per library option. Default as sorted if you like. Where I don't want a specific order - say home videos - then sorting Alphabetically would be nice addition. If you are talking about the DISPLAY of tags (for filters, metadata etc, then sorted alphabetically is the better option I agree). Thanks.

What are you trying to achieve with the VPN ? Is this to just VPN your non emby connections from the Windows machine to the internet ? If you turn off the VPN - can emby get to the services ok ? If split tunneling - then have you tried the opposite way - ie tunnel all browser connections to the VPN and let emby use the default connection ?

I suspect that it is because different players are required for photos vs movies, so switching players on the fly is possibly not practical (or likely to be a good user experience)

Firstly, one time on 2, when i select ssl.pfx file from params's emby interface, the root writed is sometimes "/volume0/usr/builtin/etc/certificate/ssl.pfx" and sometimes just "/usr/builtin/etc/certificate/ssl.pfx". Is it a serious problem ? Maybe solve it at next update ? In twice case, the saving don't throw any errors. Secondly, (and it's my main problem) emby dont care about this new configuration. He continue to allow http connexions and refuse https connexions. Look my screenshot to see what I mean. I precise the redirecting of port are ok and i can join emby by http port. That sounds very strange. Can you screenshot a copy of your video settings? There are no issues with Theater that would prevent OSD from working.

Hi I have 2 chromecasts connected - chromecast (3th generation) - chromecast with Google TV (4th generation) When I cast to the first (older) device, everything works perfect: I can play, scroll forward and backward from my iPhone. When I cast to the second (newer) device: - content plays, but - scrolling forward --> video freezes, subtitels start from beginning, audio is correct. So the "cast app" on the chromecast device (how do I call this?) reacts somewhat different and the older device and works better than an the newer device. Anyone with same experience? How can I make my chromecast with Google TV work better? kind regards, bartplessers

Just to be clear, that time is to adjust each subtitle individually - and assumes at least some familiarity with the process; simply sliding the whole sub file into alignment takes just moments if the frame rate of the video is the same as that of the source the subtitles were made for. The programs also include options to instantly convert the times between basic and broadcast frame rates (e.g. 30fps and 29.97fps); the only complication in that case is realising that the change is necessary. Hm... So no sign of life for a good four months from @GlennNZ And there's supposed to be hope that he might answer? Doesn't sound promising. So I don't need Emby Premiere. Then I can continue to use Kodi. I used to use Frontview like this. My system with corresponding components, MiniPC and monitor integrated separately. So this plugin would be absolutely essential, not only because I would have spent money on the additional hardware for nothing, no, my whole hi-fi board would have to be rebuilt I would have done a test, but when I look at how long some people have to wait for any solutions. No - Frontview has to work!

@Luke Das ist eine Fritz!Box 6690 Cable und die generiert die M3U Dateien selber, also ja, es scheint die einzige Option zu sein. VLC hat damit auch keine Probleme, Emby 4.6 hatte die früher mit den generierten M3U Dateien auch nicht. Wie gesagt, danach habe ich das aufgrund anderer Emby Fehler nicht mehr genutzt. Vielleicht hängt dieser Fehler damit zusammen: Gruß Eddie

I've been known to do the wrong thing when setting things up lol. Just so you know I unhooked my flex 4k and connected my hdhr duo in it's place. It shows up literally the same way as 2 flex 4k's.

Hello, I'm new to Emby, just moved across from Plex and the first time I tried the Emby TVOS app, I noticed the same thing, the audio is out of sync, back to Plex, no issue. Checked on a browser session on my MacBook, no issue, seems like an issue with the TVOS app.... not incline to make the Apple TV setting change as described above, as I use a lot of other apps without issue and don't want to upset these... Is there going to be a fix for the TVOS app ? Steve

Yesterday, I observed several chapter image extraction operations fail. I end up with a movie having chapter images for like 2/3 of the chapters, with the last 1/3 not having images. So far so... good. Attached is part of a log, showing the errors. What could be done about those? Also, is there a way to let the task try again for just the missing ones? Now, it just runs for 0 seconds and nothing happens. I tested with copying one of these files to a new folder and give it a different name (to simulate a new movie), and it errors out again, but at a different chapter. embyserver.txt

Just landed here looking for a solution to this b/c there was an update and I needed to do the same thing. Went back to my server admin, did a shutdown & restarted the system thinking it wasn't going to be an option and BOOM, after it fired back up, the restart button appeared in the admin. Just wanted to say thanks to the devs for all you do!

That appears to be the problem - and the fix. Several years ago my playback was extremely poor, and I experimented with lots of things - obviously including that value. The problem turned out to be Windows backup (using file history) which was backing up all of the hauppauge intermediate files. That change was made years ago - the current problem only started months ago. Anyway, thanks for your analysis and perserverance.
