Netfilx has one account, sure you can have a few profiles depending on how big your family is. Also netfilx will always present you with a selection of profiles (Who's Watching) to log into, it will never just load the last profile used! I'm not sure what you said makes any sense where emby is concerned.

If the Emby team can't fix this issue for technical reasons for the time being, I think it would be better to force the emby app to transcode the video when it detects IOS + hdr (hdr10, DV). That would be better than Direct Play + weird green video. Additionally, this issue does not occur in the MAC Emby app.

Okay, the docker container does not hold the dependencies so with my method you have to run the script every time. @SimCitytook what I did a step further. Check his guide here: https://github.com/SimCity/emby-mediainfo-plugin-prereq This is a Linuxserver Docker Mod, so will run automatically every time the container restarts or updates.

Did you try enable transcoding for live tv in the plugin config options? I see in your logs, the webclient requests hls streams (master.m3u8) while the plugin queries the native stream (static=true)

with a few reboots the not playing file now plays but the subs not playing still continues. subrip, or SRT, embedded subs when extraction is enabled will not display at all with the hybrid DV and HDR10 compatible files PGS subs trigger transcoding, and then tone mapping, which is a whole other rabbit hole of incompatibilities

Can you send me a debug log (via PM) please. Is your server accessible from internet? Does the issue appears there too? Quick update, been messing with this all night trying to figure it out. I have no idea whats going on. It seems to be converting at under 1x which i assume is the problem (log attached) but i dont understand how its possible that it's not able to keep up with the stream. The cache drive is nvme benchmarking with yabs at ~5GB/s read and write which is obviously plenty. The CPU is basically idle, htop shows anywhere from 3-5% on all cores. Is unchecking this box still the solution to this problem? I am also unable to skip ahead while playing back an in progress recording (instead, it starts over from the beginning if I try to skip). But I don't see a checkbox labeled "automatically convert to a streaming friendly format" under Live TV settings. I'm a premiere user. I assume the interface has changed since 2018 - where do I find this setting to fix this?

At the same time Emby should be getting the collectionname/id from TMDB and automatically assigning it to that collection. So I would ask is Emby providing your metadata? What providers do you have enabled on the library? Do you have the "Import collection information from metadata downloaders" option enabled on the library?

To be honest, I’m not sure what happens if you play a DV only file without a HDR or other compatibility stream. If the ATV app can’t play DV then I guess you will get what you see, just a black screen. I suppose you are expecting it to then try and transcode. I suspect that is not something that is not currently implemented and I don’t know how reliably we can even check that it is a DV only file. Can you please attach the ffmpeg and server logs for your playback test?

Yes I can confirm this issue. It will be resolved in the 4.8.8 maintenance release. For immediate relief use an Emby app to configure those two options, and/or the fix will also be on the beta channel tomorrow. Thanks.

Do this: logout from this account "HTConnect", then login with "lja" (btw, you should use email address for the login name), if you can not remember the password, just use "forgot password" and put the email address for the account "lja".

Just select add to collection on Ghostbusters: Afterlife and select the collection you want to add it to. The option to add to collection is available at almost every view level.

Reading this topic and being a complete newb at this… I’m assuming I’ve done something wrong or ill advised by simply using the remote setup already in Emby when I created my new server? 1. I just enabled remote usage and tested it via my phone by going to my ip and port while not on WiFi. Got access to the login page so I know it worked. 2. Disabled remote access for my admin account. 3. Removed user names from remote login pages and apps they’ve never signed in with. Is this bad, and if so, maybe a warning of some time should be included under the enable remote access option in Emby to let a new user like myself know that these are not recommend but will work? Again, I’m honestly curious because I’m so new at this. I’m currently testing Plex and Emby on a laptop as I buy the pieces for an unRAID build where I”m leaning toward using Emby. Thank you
