No problem and actually this issue was not only related to taglines. Wrong data were added to Kodi DB which could also have an impact to other functionalities.

Despite you said this, the update  .06 fixed the incremental sync issues. I reported on 1

New Anime TV Shows are now correctly synced to the corresponding menu entry on my KODI, without the need to manually issue an update via E4K

Still unfixed is the library nodes in the Addon if you want to use them to display Widgets.

It shows episodes with random numbers instead proper titles, views are also limited. Season posters not showing etc.

Its easlity reproduceable

 

EDIT: I cannot seem to access "Settings" (of E4K) in .06. I click and nothing happens.

i spoke to soon, playback is NOT working after coming out of sleep, not sure what happened the first time but since doing the DB reset it is back to it's same old behavior, cant play files and wont sync changes after coming out of sleep on nvidia shield. Exit and reload kodi and is all works fine again and sync uppdates

The addon installed with 3 users listed, selected one, then nothing happen the syn did not happened

Didn't Kodi connect to server at all? No the welcome msg show?

At the moment I running out of options. If tested every possible case I can think of and each time user logins works perfectly.

Admin users, regular users, hidden users in every possible way to connect to emby server. Manual, per selection, embyconnect WAN and LAN.

After Kodi connect, change user password, skip initial (wizard) connection and go via configuration.

That is all perfect.

 

Can you please test with a stock kodi installation from scratch (on a spare device/laptop).

If this is also not working, something in your server setup causes the issue and we can review the exact user config.

1.Restart Kodi check if playback is working

2.sleep and wake up

3.Check if playback is working (should work)

4.sleep and wake up

5.Check if playback still works (probably issue)

 

So please trigger the sleep mode 2 or 3 or 4 times . In the experimental version I fixed a sleepmode bug which prevents Kodi to re-init after the second sleep. Probably there is still something wrong.

 

Please send me a log when the playback stops working.

restarted, the put to sleep and woke 3 times in a row, in between  each time i tried to play a file, it would never play, it also never synced the watch status changes i made whilst in sleep

quickmic already acknowledge Settings button unresponsive and already commited to have a look/fix.

Workaround is instead of going to Settings from this path (1st pic), go for addon info/configure (2nd pic)

Hi

I have just done a clean install of Kodi Matrix RC1 and installed version 5.2.05.  After installing the Emby for Kodi Plugin the system asks me to connect to my Emby server, which works fine.  It then shows me the list of users setup on my Emby server.  However, when I click on one of them to sign in the plugin wont allow me to sign in.  Instead it takes me back to the available users page.  I have to manually login by typing in the username and password, even though my Emby server is setup "dont require a password on the local network".

Is there a setting I am missing in kodi matrix that is causing this issue?

This is a known issue with  5.2.05, I am seeing same issue, I have reported to quickmic I believe his taken a look at this, I will suggest that you post you log report, that may also help to trouble shoot.

Not work, I have over twenty clients it only shows Three each time that I have tested from 5.2xxxx, when I selected one of the three, it did not further the syn process, each time that I restart Kodi it will asked for server, when I select the server and the user, not happens therafter, definately an issue that need to be resolved, otherwise there is no way to test.

Hi quickmic,

speaking of unresponsive Settings (see my own self quote further below), I just noticed that while the workaround  does get us in settings,

something is odd within E4K tab (ps I would rather call it connection tab).

 

It does not seem to cause me any  issue, but I'm pretty sure it used to display my username, server name and maybe server address too.

Yet when I fire up kodi, it connects just fine without asking to login, no error, all good, but I find it odd that connection tab is all blank fields.

Please advise

Workaround is instead of going to Settings from this path (1st pic), go for addon info/configure (2nd pic)

I'm working on it, actually there are some other issues in the connection settings/config menu.

What do you mean, you're unable to access Emby Next Gen settings ?

Updated experimental version is available on page 1 of this thread.

 

Changes:

Subtitle enabled/disabled should now work based on settings (preferred language could be still an issue)
Userlogin with no passwords works

I did a research to implement backdrops and extras addon but not quite clear to me, how this should work.

For extras-> context menu. Should there be a file selection pop up?

For backdrops same question. How should it work. I see incoming requests and in 4.x looks there were temp files created. Not sure how this should help a 3rd party plugin.

I don't wanna use such a (temp files) approach if I can avoid it and I think I can.
