Same problem here.

If I try to connect to my emby server from my WebOS Browser I only see a black screen with no info at all.

Any one has the same issue?

Not working for me in LG web browser.

In case it gives developers some light into the LG web browser tunnel, theese were my tests:

- http://my_emby_server_ip:8096 --> reloads as http://my_emby_server_ip:8096/web/index.html: grey screen. Tab with Emby title and emby logo.

- https://my_emby_server_ip:8096:8096  (SSL Connection Error). As expected... my server has no SSL certificate. Tried just in case...

- http://tv.emby.media:black screen. Tab with Emby title and emby logo.

- https://tv.emby.media:black screen an https not recognized.

My local Emby server version: 3.0.5913.0 (lastest)

TV Software WebOS 2.0: v04.00.90  (latest)

Thanks for keeping on this fantastic system

@Luke:

I've got the WebOS SDK up and running and the LG developer mode app installed on my 55EF9500 running WebOS 2.0.  I've been having fun pretty much turning my Home Automation informational content (I've got a weather site that I use on home displays that works particularly well) into webapps and pushing them to my TV.

I'm also working on the playz-emby app pretty much to just to get some XP with the Emby client interface from a WebOS perspective because I don't really think playz-emby itself is the best going forward solution when compared to Emby Theater for LG.

So, if you could use some dev help,  feel free to shoot me the repository location (I couldn't locate it on github) and I'd be happy to take a look at it/provide feedback & assistance.

FYI, while waiting for dev on the official client here, feel free to try out the HTML5 client I'm currently working on.  Repo is here:

https://github.com/sleuth255/playz-emby

current activity from the dev thread starts here:

http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/26253-playz-emby-for-lg-smart-tvs/page-6

This is pretty much a full featured Emby client for WebOS 2.  It'll work on WebOS3 too but its not saving server/login settings currently.  I'll release this as a free app in the WebOS app store itnf.

I just want to update you all because I know you are waiting for an Emby for LG app. We have submitted it to the LG store but there appears to be a very long wait time in the app review process. Hopefully it will not be too much longer. Thank you for your patience.

Hi @@Luke, I'm pleased to know that the app is already in acceptance process, and I hope this wait could not be so long!

Hi Emby Team @@Luke,

may we expect in WEB OS version to add in settings menu option to change subtitle size. Now i think this is the biggest difference and issue between Plex and Emby comparing them.

Thank you very much in advance.

It is a possibility for the future.

on my smart tv can not forward or back the videos. and the menus do not carry the ssl and are without order on the page, leaving the films in a row down.

ITMT feel free to try out screenplay which went live today for all global regions.  The free app is available for all WebOS2 and greater TVs.  Support thread with screenshots is here

As Screenplay is unfortunately limited to 1920x1080 do you have any news on the progress of this app? Some of my smaller TV's are 720p where the higher resolution is pointless. Currently having to use Plex which I have to say works very well for occasional viewing or by kids.
