New build is up, .226

@@AgileHumor  Found the Connect user bug. It was related to having multiple servers connected to your Connect-user and running the sync process..

This was also what caused the Screensaver error you were exxpernecing which I couldn't reproduce, just catched the error when it occured for you.

Also, added context-menu to TvShow details view, so you now have NextUp on Show-level with a more button to Play all from here.

Hi,

Just installed build .226 and dev 3.0.5525.21304 the now the APP isn't detecting any servers and when/if it does no users are displayed. Manually entering the user + password, doesn't work.

Anyone else getting this?

Otherwise, browsing stability is getting much better.  I had no crashes for 10 minutes for use (a record by 9 minutes of stress testing).   Great catch!!!  :)

Hi,

Just installed build .226 and dev 3.0.5525.21304 the now the APP isn't detecting any servers and when/if it does no users are displayed. Manually entering the user + password, doesn't work.

Anyone else getting this?

I just installed 3.1.0.226 and I'm getting the same thing.  No users are showing up, just a button to enter the user manually, but entering the account info manually doesn't work. No error or anything, just doesn't do anything.

Benny and Scott

Seem to recall something similar in some combo of client and app. Double check that for the user you are testing with you have enabled access from all devices and/or the app.

Under users in dashboard.

Just a guess on my part

New build is up .227

Fixed a bug for storing  progress when app is fully offline.

On a Windows desktop with a brand new install of version 226 I'm getting the same issue.

Can't get past it.

No server is on different machine and running Version 3.0.5525.41361

Just pulled down 227.  Uninstalled application and re-install on 2 computers.

On Surface Pro 2 it seems to remember the account that was logged in "Test" and no matter what I do I can not log out.  If I click on the person icon in the top right none of the pop up do anything including "Sign Out"

Tried installing on a notebook and I can't get logged in directly to my server.

Go to the newer style "tiled" desktop and start typing "Media Browser" and it should find it.

To follow this up.  The "Test" account that was logged in on my Surface Pro 2 was deleted on the server.

When I then try and restart 227 on the Surface I get the login screen.  I go for manual login, select my server and then after typing in new credentials I can't get past this screen (same as the notebook).

I looked in the server logs but can't find any login info for this user.

it looks like some new connectivity issue that has crept up since 226. i sent him some info from my own usage. he's looking into it.

I guess I looked over that due to having the store version installed and figured this would be listed as Beta or something in Metro

So after launching I skip using Media Browser Connect and use Manual Config - I see my server under detected server click on it (or enter hostname / port) and I get presented with a Select Profile page that is empty and has just Manual Login no users are listed - If I click Manual Login I am presented with a login box that has Username / Password / Sign In however before even putting anything into the box it has Failed to sign in to MediaBrowser Connect. If I try to use my server un/password nothing happens when I click Sign In

Important

Now that we have a working build, can we get some testing on the following:

- offline pin, instructions here:

http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/15548-beta-310/?p=178017

- offline watched state reported to server. instructions:

1. sign out of app

2. sign in via AnyTime SIgn in

3. Watch a video

4. Now sign back in online

5. Once the sync process completes, check the web interface, your watch state should now be reflected

Question about Sync:

I am trying to convert just a single episode of Sleepy Hollow to test this however when I go to that Episode and say sync Media Browser starts to convert the entire season. Can we have Sync just do a single episode vs the entire season?

EDIT: Nevermind if you select Sync from the Season folder when clicking on an Episode it Syncs the entire season - However if you click on the Episode and then use Sync it Syncs only the Episode in view.

Can we give a higher priority to the Conversion process? currently FFMpeg is around 8% and at this rate to convert a 45 min video will take around 2 to 2.5 hrs (btw that's on the default high setting)

I restarted the sync on low that is also taking quite a bit of time but not as much as high

Original worked very well assuming a direct copy - Can we set a default in the app for Original vs high?

I can now login with 229 but the menu choice top right when I click on the User Icon do nothing.  I get each menu but they do nothing when clicked.

So I can't signout or exit without having to switch back to desktop mode and closing it.

Just installed 229 on the notebook.

Upon logging in for the first top it tries to popup a conventional desktop windows asking to "Let Media Browser run in the background?"

Of course this switches from "tile" mode to the conventional desktop mode which might trip up some people.

Just like on my Surface, when I click the user icon (top right) none of the menu choices do anything.

Ok Sync completed and transferred however when I logout of the server and select AnyTime and login with my pin I see the heading AnyTime --> Click on TV --> Sleepy Hollow --> Episode --> Click Play --> Media Browser app brings me to desktop clicking on the Media Browser icon in the task bar brings be to the user login page for the server

Episode is a m4v

Hi   @@cayars

Welcome to my world. I have one machine that those menu choices under the user icon haven't done anything in ages. Anything particular about the machine. Mine is running win 8 pro which is the only variation I can discern between the one that works.

Thanks

This is two different machines both with the same issue. 1 is a Surface Pro 2 running win 8.1 will all updates applied.

The second is a windows 8.1 notebook again with all windows updates applied.

I really can't think of anything unusual about either machine.  The notebook is a brand new install and the only other programs that have been installed are ffmpeg, python and Handbrake so it's pretty generic.

I just tried installing on a Windows 10 preview machine and get exactly the same results as the windows 8.1 notebook (no user icon menus working) only I'm noticing one additional item:

I've gotten 2 popups that look similar to console windows from "C:\Windows\System32\Windows.Media.BackgroundPlayback.exe

I don't know if you want or care about windows 10 but just wanted to try it.
