Hi, we're looking into it, thanks. In the meantime, the mono complete workaround should work. Thanks.

It will work if you install mono-complete.  Looks like a dependency was missed in the latest update.  "sudo apt-get install mono-complete"

I'm sure it installs more than you need, but it will work.

Like a charm. Thank you so much.

Which is why I continue to support emby - because when things break, people fix it. Thanks guys!

To upgrade or not to upgrade???

Hi, I have a server exclusively for Emby running on Ubuntu 14.04 and I am very happy with it. Should I do a Release upgrade to 16.04? On what release does Emby work better? Any opinions are greatly appreciated!!!

Did not work for me. Do we have a status update on the latest package?

There should be an update release later tonight. The mono-complete fix is only for ubuntu16.04 and it's a specific issue. Can you please provide a log.

Works fine for me (beta branch) on a new install of Ubuntu 16.04 and survived apt-get upgrade. Did:

wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:emby/xUbuntu_16.04/Release.key
sudo apt-key add - < Release.key
sudo apt-get update

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_16.04/ /' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/emby-server-beta.list"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install emby-server-beta

sudo service emby-server start
# opened web interface and configured emby

sudo usermod -a -G cdrom,audio,video,plugdev,users,dialout,dip,input,netdev emby

sudo service emby-server stop
sudo reboot

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Running without problems now for 10 minutes at least :-)

mono-complete issue has been resolved. I have tested an install on a clean file server and have seen no issue.

The instructions are easy, right? Looks like you're running beta. Thank you for being a part of beta testing.

Edit the script and remove the find line. It will proceed. Script has been fixed in new packages
